Anderson isnt tht great. Quinn is yet to be proven, but I woul dtake the chance and start Quinn. I live in Ohio (about 45 min away from Cleveland) and I'm not really a Browns fan (but I love goin to games)

The Browns offense will click. Stallworth joins Braylon Edwards, Kellen Winslow, and Joe Jerovicious in one of the best receiving cores in the NFL. The Cleveland offensive line is great. RB Jamal Lewis is one of the current elites.

As for the QB situation, Derek Anderson should remain the starter. A Pro Bowler last season knows how to manage the Cleveland offense well. Brady Quinn is a reliable back-up, but should remain seated until Anderson departs or does not perform well. The Browns gave up a lot to select Quinn in the 2007 draft, but they did not know that Derek Anderson would be this good.

I remembered when he was with the Giants a long time ago. He made a few big plays, but was always a hack with Big Blue. Never really was successful. I'm surprised that he's still playing at a fairly high level, and he also seems so old to me.

He has always been good. Only receiver to play in 3 suprebowls with 3 diff teams.

I love how he leaves in 2002, comes to tampa, and Wins th esuperbowl, and hes a HUGE reason we made it there.

But he is the nicest guy you will ever meet.

He was the #3 receiver in NY. Never really had good chemistry with Kerry Collins. At first I was skeptical about drafting Eli Manning, because I liked Collins and thought that he was a good QB. Very strong arm, decent accuracy, and a lot of touchdowns, but he made just a few too many mistakes.

Jurevicius i salways the #3 and sometimes #2 receiver. It takes the pressure off him and he can always make catches, i mean have u seen th eone he caught behind his back that he tipped to himself for a TD when he was playing in tampa?

Only thing bad was tht tiem when he and Alstott collided an dthey both got hurt, Alstott breaking his neck...

No, it's fine. Just noticed something, is all.

But Jurevicius didn't really thrive in NY or TB, because they quarterback style really wasn't for him. He's more of a west coast offensive WR.

he had 423 yds and 4 td's so that is kinda true, but without him tampa maynot have reached SuperBowl 37, and then go on to win it. He mad big plays when it counted. It didnt help that he had to share the feild with keyshawn Johnson, and Keenan McCardell.

coach Gruden has always ran the West Coast offense in Tampa, 2002 being his first year with the buccaneers. So Jurevicius was playing the west coast offense

Here's what I think about the Browns quarterback situation.

You start Derek Anderson because of the success you had last season with him under center. If he fails to produce, you have a fresh, talented arm waiting for action. Derek Anderson has the Browns starting job in his hands, I believe. He's a damn good quarterback, and with that supporting cast, it clicks so well. Brady Quinn may be a team's future QB, but I think the Browns have everything they need, unless they wanna trade off Anderson to beef up their team even more after Anderson's value goes up with his success.

Well KJ was the deep threat, while McCardell took Jurevicius' possession receiver role. But Gruden never handled the run game like a west coast offense. It only really seemed like he put more of an emphasis on the pass.

Do notice that Derek Anderson is still only 25 years old. At this point in their careers, Anderson has proven to be a far better QB than Quinn, based mostly on last year's performance (Pro Bowl trip too). It is definite that Derek Anderson will start the season for the Browns. Unless their season collapses (probably by the defense), or the Browns clinch a playoff spot early, I doubt we'll see Brady Quinn play a down this season.

Yes, Quinn is a good and young #2 QB in the Cleveland system, but Anderson should lead the team within the next couple of years, until he hits the free agent market or something else happens. If I'm not mistaken, Anderson just signed an extension with the Browns (although I think it's only a short period of time). If he thrives, they won't hesitate to sign him long-term.

...If only the Browns knew how good Anderson would be, because they did give up quite a lot to get Quinn.
