Kamea walked though the tall grass that reached up to his face. He raised his nose in the air breathing in the freash air around him. It was changing seasons soon and the air was just right and the sun was setting. His mane ruffed as he walked to the small watering hole. He walked in the water and the water kissed his paws as he lowered his neck to drink from the water. He lapped up a few drinks then raised his head back up and licked the dripping water off his maw. He smelled some new lions in the area and was curious of who they were.

Tasunke sat in the wild brown grass with his eyes shifting up toward the sun. His tail was whipping back and forth, shifting in every direction as the wind ruffled his blackish fur. Giggling, he pounced on a grasshopper that skipped passed him. "Rawr!" He landed on the ground with a tumble, falling onto his back as he wiggled. Jumping up, he went frolicing back through the grass until he felt himself bump into something more solid. Falling onto his back again, he glanced up to see an adult male. "Uhh.. hi." "Tasunke, be careful, would you?" Came his mother's voice somewhere behind the tall grass. Tasunke had disappeared inside and the female lion was growing slightly weary. Huffing, she turned her head, her tail flicking in a deeply agitated state. Her son could be so troublesome at times and she wasn't quite sure how she had put up with it all this time. If she had even been half as bad as he was with her parents they would never have allowed him out of their sight for a second. Shaking her head, Sureika let out a deep breath, tapping one paw impatiently.

Kamea looked at the cub with a small smile "Aloha." He nudged the cub onto his feet then looked up when he heard a female's voice. He sighed and stepped away from the cub. "Wouldn't want you mother getting mad at me now would we?" He smiled the area around his eyes crinkling in the action. He was nice but he was also quiet. He tended to avoid conflict and watch the other male embaress himself or the one challenging him.
He looked once more at the cub. "So where's your-" A voice interupeted him and he sighed softly. He smiled at the young cub then sat down. "What are you doing around here young one. A female alone with just her cub is a bad thing. You two could get hurt real bad without a male around. Not saying you two need it but I would rather you two be safe then sorry." He said all this quietly talking to the cub but he acknowledged the female still that was only a few feet away but was hidden by the grass.
Lana looked up at her mother then chased after Tasunke. "Wait up!" She called after him then stopped when she saw the male. She growled then stood by her brother growling at him the loudest and scariest she could muster up. She looked at her brother form the corner of her eyes then looked behind them hopping there mother would come and scare him away.

[I'm going to leave Suri out of it for a little longer, I want to see what the kids do.]
"Aloha?" Tasunke tilted his head to one side in a curious gesture at the male before him. "Momma?" His eyes shifted off, hoping that his mother wouldn't ruin this. Tasunke hated that his mother was so overprotective and never let him play. He was sure that this male would be more interesting! Wouldn't he be? "Momma is strong.. we don't need another male! I take care of us just fine." Puffing up his chest, Tasunke tried to look as tough as he could muster but he quickly lost all steam the moment that he heard Lana's growling. "Lana...." He turned his head. "Don't growl! It's impolite." He chided her.

Kamea smiled at the boys reaction to his greeting. "Sorry. I ment Hello. Aloha is hello in hawiian." he said softly then looked to were the young cub looked. He smiled knowingly. "Come. We won't go far but I would like to show you the pond. Wouldn't want you going all Kipi on me." He said standing up. He smiled "I'm sure she is and I'm sure you can." He chuckled at the cub then looked surpised as another cub jumped out of behind the bushes growling. He raised an eyebrow then looked at the other cub "Yes it is but she has a right to growl if she feels threaton." He said in response to the cub then looked at the female cub. "You must be Lana. To both of you I am Kemea." He bowed his head then moved towards the water "By the way both of you look very koa walking up to a male that easliy without being frightoned." He stopped at the water and sat down looking at the cubs.
Lana looked at her brother then stopped growling. He was older....by like a second. She sighed and raised an eyebrow at the males words. What in the world was he saying? She shook her head then looked at her brother. "Should we father him? Mama won't mind probably." She knew this was a lie but she was curious about the male. She looked back towards the male as he laid down and dust flotted around him.

"Don't mind Lana..." Tasunke gave a roll of his eyes at his younger sister. Turning his back, his tail swished back and forth as he glanced up at the male in curiosity. "A pond?" He questioned. He knew that Lana was lying, their mother would kill them when she had the chance. However, Tasunke already knew that their mother would kill them now, even for talking to a stranger or asking all these silly questions. It was because of this that he really didn't care. Their mother would kill them if they went with the male, or even if they didn't. So as far as he was concerned he picked the path that held more fun. "What's Kipi? And uhh... koa?" He pranced close to the male, his eyes wide in concentration as he barely even batted an eye at his sister.

Kamea nodded and motioned to the pond. He looked over at the small female and saw she looked like someone he used to know awhile ago. Actually...awhile ago. He missed her so but couldn't forget what she had done to him. He still felt the pain this day. He sighed lightly then smiled at the young cub. "Sorry once again it seems I keep forgetting. Kipi means crazy and Koa means Brave." He said as if teaching a leason to more cubs then two. He shook his head his mane swaying slightly since a bug was bothering him. He watched the male cub with a small smile. "Don't worry. I mean you no harm."
Lana sighed and fallowed after her brother hesitently expecting their mother to jump out any mintiue. She was afraid of her mother and loved her brother more then her mother. She was afraid of everything thats why she manovered away from them both to wait on her brother's curosity to ware off. At least, thats what she hoped it was.

Tilting his head back, Tasunke paused when he saw his sister keeping her distance. "Aren't you coming?" He asked. He could be ignorant at times and treat her unfairly, but he did love his sister nonetheless. Tasunke awaited Lana to join him when he heard the male's statement and glanced up. "I'm not afraid of you Sir... it's someone else." Tasunke began to fidget nervously at the thought of their mother. What exactly would she do once she found them...

Kamea looked at the cubs slightly confused. He didn't know what to think. He sighed shaking his head lightly. "Alright go on. I hope to see you two again and I hope that you are well..." He didn't want to see the kids leave but he knew who ever was there parents would want them with them. He frowned when the one cub said he wasn't afraid of him but someone else. "Who might this be?" He said looking around to see whoever was around.
Lana nodded but looked back at the male named Kamea. "Uh...Yeah....I am coming..." She mumbled. She sighed trotting over to her brother, her soft feet making alittle dust rise up. She walked over to her brother and looked about. She was worried their mother would pop out. She moved closer to him then shivered like she was cold. "C-come on Tasunke....Lets go find mother before she finds us...."

Tasunke sighed. He didn't want to leave but a part of him knew that Lana was probably right. His eyes shifted toward the blue girl before moving back to the male. "Our mother..." His ears went flat against his head.
Sureika, on the other hand, had had about enough of this. She had been calling the cubs names over the grass for a good ten minutes and now was severally irritated about this turn of events. They knew better than to run off and disobey her. "Tasunke! Lana!" She was now venturing further into the tall grass, cursing the whole way for them making her chase after them.

Kamea looked at the cubs slightly baffled but his ears perked up when he heard a voice that sound off. "Hm. That must be your mother..." He mumbled looking around slightly. He sighed and looked back at the cubs. "I will talk to her and apologize for keeping you two." He smiled slightly then looked towards the area the voice was.
Lana looked at her brother then moved back slightly as she heard mother. "Oh...." She whimpered slightly then looked at the male. He said he was going to talk to their mother.....Oh boy....She sighed and laid down on the ground waiting for the whole scene to happen. She wanted to see how her mother would react but she knew it would probably be the same as other times.

Tasunke's eyes shot up in complete alert. "No! Don't, please!" He shrieked out, trying all that he could to stop the male before the inevitable happened. Scooting backwards with his ears flat, he moved toward Lana, trying to pull her off to hide.
Sureika hissed. She had no clue where those two could be. Stomping through the grass she immediately stopped when she saw the male. Her eyes went wide upon viewing him and for once in her life the female seemed almost utterly dumbfounded. There he was, the first male she had ever loved, the one who had fathered her children.. the very one whom she had carved his heart out. As the wind blew through her fur she couldn't help but swallow. Suddenly her two children were the last thing on her mind. "Kamea...." Her voice was in a near whisper.

Kamea was surpised at the cubs recation to what he said. "Whoa Whoa. Okay I won't." He went to walked over to them but stopped when he felt another percense. He frowned and turned then stopped dead in his tracks. It was his first love. The one he gave everything to. He looked at Surekia with baffled eyes. "Suri?" He said as his throat closed up. She was one the one that left him for that male....He looked down then looked back at the cubs then stood in front of them and looked up at Sureika.
Lana shook her head quickly at the male the then looked at her mother when she stomped over. She coward away and looked at her brother not knowing where to go.

"Shh... I'll protect you." Tasunke stated quietly as he pulled Lana away from the adults. He hummed quietly, trying to calm his sister down as his eyes were pried at the male and his mother.
Sureika couldn't help but step a little closer to him. Seeing him again made all those feelings swarm back to her. "What are you doing here?" Her voice had suddenly lost it's strength and she began to feel the weak feeling in her stomach. It was the feeling she always felt around him, it was one of the reasons that she couldn't stand being around him. She didn't know what to do or what to say to him. A part of her wanted to instantly cuddle and lick him and the other part of her wanted to lash out. Even if she was the one that left him, she still felt so much pain, just from even being near him.

Kamea blinked a few times and smiled lightly. She was the light that was always his till she left with the other male. He flinched slightly at the pain he still felt from her leaving him. She was the only one who made butterflies in his stomich when he was younger but now that he was older he knew that she would just do the same thing so he was weary of her. He sighed softly. "I had a few firends that lived around here and this was nice hunting grounds." He mumbled sitting down. "What have you been doing lately Ku`u Lei?" He said lightly looking down. He didn't want to look at her because he wanted to go over and say hello like mates would but he remembered she wasn't his no more. "I mean....Suri..."
Lana nuzzled her brother in thanks and fallowed but looked at his mother and the male surpised she wasn't mauling him or instulting him. She didn't even seem to notice her and Tasunke. She laid low to the ground listioning looking somewhere else in case their mother did notice them.
