This is what, his fourth year of 'retirement'? I'll believe he's retired when he's out a car for good. As for where he's going, I've heard the Hendrick rumor as well, but who knows? Maybe he'll go to Ganassi to revive the 40 car, maybe he'll go to Gibbs to jump-start a fourth team. "Have Gun - Will Travel"

I agree it still is weird. But David Ragan has been holding his own lately. And if he goes to Ginassi that would be kinda cool to see what he would do for that team or he could replace Casey Mears but if he goes to JGR would they be willing to make a fourth team or would he replace Tony Stewart? And what do you think Tony is going to do? Or has he already announced his decision? It sucks i'm at my dads house for the summer and he doesn't have Speed so I find out everything from on here or Nascar.com-which is not at all very helpful

omg mark martin IS going to Hendrick. He WILL race the 5 car full time in 2009. Personally I find it stupid-the whole retirement-not retirment deal. It kinda sucks. idk why but it does. Now where is Casey Mears gonna go? On the market is possibly Tony Stewart, Casey Mears, Jamie McMurry, Dario Franchitti, and I think a coupe of more.

Martin goes to five car. I think Newman will go to haas, along with stewart, Lagano fills Stewarts seat, Juan Pablo Montoya leaves Ganassi and ganassi shuts down another car and goes to a one car team.Menard becomes the third yates car driver with menards as sponsor.

OK, Joe Gibbs Racing is saying that they are holding stewart to his contract, so he is not leaving, but if they do let him go then he will go to Haas and have Ryan Newman or Martin Truex Jr. as his teammate. Franchitti will go back to Indycar Racing. And Casey Mears will go to RCRs forth team. Paul Menard will stay at DEI. And if Stewart does leave Gibbs, Logano, because everyone else spelled his name wrong, will get in the 20 car.

I like that one though I didn't know Newman's contract is up and Clint Bowyer's sponsorship is up. He wouldn't look right with ups. Casey would be good at RCR and hes already used to Chevys David Stremme will be good at Penske but im not sure how he will get along with Kurt Busch and Sam Hornish, Menard at Yates would be nothing but good all around cause he is getting pretty good but that leaves DEI down a driver. Villeneuve with Robby Gordon-not sure. Though he is kinda a part of GEM and they have Carpentier so they know the transition but with that onlybeing Robby's second year with Dodge will he take a Second car? And there is a rumor that Penske might be going to Toyota. Dowe need both Busch brothers in Toyotas with that much horsepower? And JGR will probably hold Stewart to his contract but 2009 would be his last year. He could possibly do it in 2010 but that would mess up the drivers. I cant believe that he would mess up his chance to be with a big team like Gibbs just to be in a Chevy when the Toyotas are clearly dominating this year. But there also is the talk of ownership. ANd is Jr bringing in a Cupcar?

well JGR released Stewart and I dont want the COT in Nationwide. Its fun to see how the Cup drivers have to transition from the old car to the COT and that determines how good of a driver they really are.
