What do ghosts fear? You would think nothing right? After all, they are a fear too. In the case of one ghost, it seems an ill begotten and childish fear he had in life carried through to death. And his human companion was about to find this out.

It had started off as a normal job; copy the text, get out of the town without being seen, well that had gone to pot the moment the ghost (Lavi) and the human (Rynl) had stepped into the town, and the villagers had noticed Lavis clothing, particularly the cross. After a bit of explaining, the villagers informed them there was a terrible ghost living in a mansion just outside of town, and that it seemed to suck the life out of anyone who dared near it's home, almost like a vampire.

"We'll do it!" An excited Rynl replied. He loved stories of the occult, and vampires were his favorite it just so happened. His ghostly friend on the other hand was less than excited. Nearing the mansion Rynl looked over to the usually cheerful ghost. "Why so down Lavi? You aren't scared are you?" The red-headed ghost turned to the blonde,a nervous laugh bursting forth. "W-what makes you say that?" He stuttered. Rynl pointed to Lavis hand, where a small burst of flame had been conjured. "That maybe." His tone was flat, the statement blunt. Lavi sighed. "Yeah. Promise you won't laugh?" "I promise." The promise only lasted ten or so minutes before Rynl began laughing, eventually falling to the ground, rolling and howling with laughter, Lavi swiftly put an end to it with the flame he had summoned earlier. And while Rynl rubbed at the burnt spot,(Look at this! It's probably a third degree burn!) The two made their way inside the castle.

Joachim never really cared for the villagers, nor, did he think to care for his human 'host'. His host, or 'partner' didn't do much. He cleaned up the place, made his own food. did his own thing really, and Joachim...well....Joachim would just watch him. Marcus wasn't terribly bright, but, he had an understanding for Joachim. 'Its not your fault that you need energy to survive. I mean..humans have to get energy from living things too after all.' He would say. However, it only made Joachim feel worse when he fed on the curious villagers. "They are on my grounds anyway, the least they could do is give me a snack." Joachim muttered to the stagnant castle air.
He liked the castle. Sure it was small, and it didn't have much, but Joachim liked it. He didn't know why he liked it, he just did. Marcus had once said that perhaps he had a connection to the castle. Joachim had found however, that while he may feel a connection to the castle is wasn't really his castle. (Sure it is! No one live here but you and me right?) Marcus didn't get it. Joachim needed a castle. Normal homes didn't work for him, he had to stay in a castle. This castle however, wasn't perfect, and Joachim wanted a perfect castle.

Joachim felt the air shift slightly. 'Marcus rarely open the windows.' Joachim floated through the library. Marcus wasn't at home with the book like he usually was. However, Joachim did notice the burning candle next to a note.
'Joachim: getting some food, don't eat on the villagers, sincerely, M.'
Joachim groaned with the notice. He could feed any darn time he pleased!
'P.S. I MEAN IT JOACHIM.'
Joachim glared at the offensive orders, and notice that he heard footsteps coming down the main entry. 'How dear those villagers! This is MY castle. MINE!' He hissed in his thought. Marcus had told him not to feed, but that didn't mean he could still scare them.

((OOC: His name, Joachim, if you haven't played Castlevania: LoI, Is pronounced :I-eem I'm pretty sure its arabic @A@; ))

(*spits out tea* Sweet jesus he's HOT! -went to photobucket-)

When they entered, Rynl felt a sudden chill. "Maa~, maybe you should light a fire Lavi.....Lavi? What are those?" He pointed to the clove of garlic hanging around Lavi's neck, and the wooden and silver stakes in his hand. "When did you even get those!?" Rynl asked in wonder. Lavi scratched the back of his head, laughing nervously. "Just...tools, and i've had them!" He pouted. Rynl shrugged, walking further in to the castle, trying to ignore the feeling that something was watching the pair.

Lavi meanwhile was still fuming. How dare that brat question his vampire slaying equipment! Sure it was considered outdated and even silly, but Lavi had seen a vampire, hell, lived with one when he was alive! He resisted the urge to kick the blonde in the head. "I'm sounding like Jiji now. Say Rynl, do you know where....Rynl?" He called out for the blonde, who had disappeared. "Rynl? Where are you!? I promise I won't hit you on the head if you come out!" He cried out, wandering further into the castle.

((Oh I know. 8D' He's the only villain in the Castlevania series you get to play as too >w< ))

Joachim glared at the pair. How dear they come into his castle! More so, that..that..thing wanted to kill him! And he had silver and garlic and a stake..and...'come to think of it I can't really die now can I?' Joachim thoughts twisted. It might bug him, but, he was pretty sure his form couldn't be hurt by the items..but just to be safe, he was not going anywhere near them.
He trailed behind the fire...thing...'Oh god it has fire too? What was today? Kill Joachim day?' It didn't, or rather, he didn't seem to know what he was doing..at least not with out that human...Rynl. "Time for a bit of fun. Lets see you enjoy my castle now." Joachim was nervous. he had never really planned for the traps to work but....
Floating over to the chandelier, he pulled one of the holding pins.
"hope Marcus doesn't yell at me for all this in the end." he said slipping behind the banister.

((Do you think I should make a map?))

Lavi jumped when he heard a noise like shattered glass behind him, turning to see that the chandelier had fallen. "M-maybe it's...no, i'm here, and i'd be able to see them." He laughed nervously, backing away from the scene before him.

Whether the effect was desired or not, Lavi was now paranoid, flinching at the smallest creaks and groans. "Your imagining things Lavi, get ahold of yourself!" He chanted." Think about other things, take your mind off...this. Like think about Rynl, I wonder how he's doing? What Lavi didn't know wasm that Rynl, upon seeing his companion was not with quickly ran out of the castle, and now stood at the entrance.

Joachim chuckled. The guy had no idea he was even there! With the falling chandelier, he seemed even more out of it too. Now what to do...the basement had some good hiding places, but, again, Joachim eyed the stake. How could he...ah yes! The double walls! He knew that his voice would carry out to the hall but the guy would have no idea where he was! Brilliant!
But..the entrance to the double wall door was in front of the guy. Joachim grinned. Shifting his body he focused on making himself blend into the shadows...Looking down, he didn't see his feet. "Perfect!" Glaring at the intruder, Joachim got ready to make a mad dash for the closet, which held the secret double wall door. Now..for the final touch. "LEAVE THIS PLACE!" he yelled, hoping to drive his point hope, Joachim, still in line with the shadows, zipped into the closet, hoping to scare the willies out of the guy. "That'll teach you!" he whispered.

(( Poor Lavi D8 ))

Hearing the voice and everything shift about, Lavi did what anyone would do in asupernatural situation; run screaming, float in his case. "OH GOD IT'S GOING TO KI---HURT ME!" He cried, flying into the nearest hiding place, which happened to be the closet Joachim was in. He didn't know that though, since he had his eyes clenched shut and he was trembling.

Joachim wasn't sure weather to laugh or cry. Laugh as the spirit had the greatest expression he had ever seen on his face, or cry, as said spirit had deiced to ruin everything by joining Joachim in the closet. "You're not supposed to run into where the specter goes doo-doo head! You go the other way! Now get off of me!" Joachim cried at the spirit. "I'll have you know I'm Joachim Armster, master of this castle, and I won't stand for this!" He wiggled around trying to throw off the brooms and cleaning products that had fallen on him...along with the spirit of course.

Lavi looked up at the angry voice, and instead of crying, burst out into laughter. What was with this guy and his superiority!? He lit a fire to see what he was dealing with and fell into another fit of laughter. "W-what's with you!? Your way--way too small!" He said between laughter.
PostPosted: Fri Jul 04, 2008 12:44 pm

Joachim flushed with embarrassment. "Yeah well, art least I'm not a big baby who cries about some silly 'ghost'. And I'm not small! I'm just...just..Ahhh~ Get off of me! I'll make yo-" Seeing the fire Joachim stilled. "Put that out! PUTITOUT! PUT IT OUT! I DON'T WANT TO DIE!" Joachim was terrified, not only had he been exposed and mocked, but this guy had no idea what fire could do to him.

Lavi extinguished the flame in his hands, approaching the smaller ghost. "Hey, it's gone, you okay?" He never knew someone could be scared of his fire, humans he could understand, but a ghost? He phased through the door, bringing the ghost, Joachim with him.

Rynl shivered, the cold from the castle had followed him out. "I hope Lavi is okay."
PostPosted: Fri Jul 04, 2008 7:11 pm

Joachim was still afraid. Fire....he didn't like fire, not one bit. "Thanks. Fire..it...uhh...well...just don't do it again okay. Fire and me...we don't go so well together..." Joachim skirted around the unknown ghost. "So who are you anyway, and why did you come to my castle?"

Why was he there again? Oh yeah! "I'm Lavi, and me and my human were supposed to come and do...something, noone said what, me and Rynl just wanted to investigate."And they had, they had also wanted to take a books and papers.
PostPosted: Sat Jul 05, 2008 2:10 pm

Joachim kept circling Lavi. "Lavi huh. You and this..Rynl didn't come here to destroy me did you? The villagers have been bragging about that for a while now. The last guy who came up here to kill me wet himself before he even reached the dinning hall." Joachim settled down in front of Lavi, "I can help you find Rynl though. The castle's actually not that big. Any idea where he might be?"

"I don't think that was it." He really hated being like this sometimes, as he noticed he became forgetful, and bookmen were not forgetful! "Well anyway, you can? Cause that would help alot."
