1. Introduction
"Please insert another 25 cents if you wish to continue your conversation." Cass put the phone back on the reciever before running both her hands through her hair, letting out a loaded sigh. It seemed like nothing was going her way anymore, especially now that her parents had her seeing a therapist. And worst of all - the shrink was forcing her to take "happy pills". She lifted her backpack before walking out of the booth to wait by the bus stop.
She didn't want to do this anymore, this thing called life. Maybe everything had started out great for her, but something just made a turn for the worse. She had both her parents, and they were happily married. She was an only child, so she couldn't be happier that she never had to share anything. She had some great friends who cared for her and were there for her when things got rough. But that was just it - what was rough?
Life wasn't in her favor anymore, and she felt horrible. She had tried to make life stop, but instead it just got in the way. So she needed some time to think, some time to run away and reflect on what was so great about living. Maybe if she got away from this so-called depression, she could find out what life really was all about. Maybe what people said is true: life shouldn't be taken for granted.
