User ImageAldes ruffled his speckled fur, gleaming azure eyes gazing up before him. He had hiked all day up this stupid mountain, and now he was going to get his reward. High above where the heat had settled, the mountain's peak was still encrusted with the sweet, sweet precipitation that was snow.

His paws felt the sting of ice, but they soon were impervious to the cold as his fur shifted beneath them. Tail flicking, he looked skyward as he walked, a broad, excited smile coming quickly across his face as he realized that tiny snowflakes were beginning to fall down from above.

Oh, what a wondrous day...

User Image "Careful!" Chivari's voice rang out, as clear as the air. She sat atop a boulder, tail wrapped around her hind legs, tufted end tapping against the rock under her paws. A perfect spot to watch the world, and to notice Aldes' arrival. Thankfully.

"There's a slick spot there. The ground under's frozen." Which was perfect, as far as she was concerned, but made for tricky walking. "It's a long way back down of you slip and skid down the mountain again. Might be fun," she amended a second later, "but it's still a long way."

Aldes instinctively froze his footsteps at the sound of the other's voice, eyes glancing down to what was a slick patch of ice. As much as he wouldn't mind it, he was sure that it probably would be a pain to walk all the way back up here.

"Thanks." he called up to her, springing up over the icy spot and bounding through the snow to get a bit closer, "I probably would have gone all the way back down if you hadn't said something." He smiled up at her, ruffling his mane and shaking off the snow stuck to his tail. "I'm Aldes," he added after a moment, "And I'm assuming that you like the snow just as much as I do, right?"

Chivari beamed, showing off her fangs. It wasn't meant at all as aggression. Just an expression. She was happy and her tail flicked. "Chivari," she introduced, "and I do. I love it. I'd come down and roll around in it, again, but I just got dry. Maybe in a bit." She had to confess, though, "It might have been funny to see you slide back down. Well. As long as you didn't get hurt."

Digging his talons into the crusty snow, Aldes heaved his way towards her, making his way to the front of the boulder with little problem. Coiling his muscles, he sprung, latching onto the side of it and pulling himself up to sit atop it as well.

"Well, of course," he replied, laughing and flashing a toothy grin of his own, "I would hope that no one wish harm upon another." Eyes shifting, he looked out across the way that he had come, gaze roving across the massive expanse of pine trees.

"Do you up this far often, or is this just a random trip?" he inquired, ear swiveling to listen for her reply, "It's a beautiful view up here."
