Personality: Calm, protective, and ever-buried in his books, Araku more likely to read about adventure that actually go on one. He loves anything that can challenge his mind, and seems particularly facinated with the runes in the temples of Nowhere. He is playful and affectionate, but also has a bite of sarcasm should you annoy him too much.

He is usually polite to strangers, though he harbors an inner lust for battle. He knows that evil and good cannot exist without each other, and he often struggles with his morals and his need to enforce his domain.

Zaimid likes nothing more than playing with his friends in Nowhere, though secretly, he doesn't want to fight anything.

He absolutely hates Nightmares, and will happily slay any that cross him. His morals, if he has any, are kept from the others, though he did once fight with another Dream in Nowhere.

An entire day spend moving boxes and rearranging the shop had not been very fun. And it wasn't even dark yet. As she turned a corner, she nearly ran into a whistling, purple and orange shape, which she made out to be 10106. The Krr'Zn'Tai was clearly aggravated, chirping and whistling her displeasure at the other occupant of the room, Dante, who was clearly ignoring the lizard like creature. Darkened glanced down and winced. The harsh sounds where getting annoying. "Dante, stop instigating '06, and 06, stop bothering Dante." she said, making her way to the kitchen. Pouring a glass of tea, a glimps of color at the edge of her vision made her turn around. There, floating serenely around her, was a tan-gold whispy thing. Curiously, she reached out, and the whisp twirled around her arm. It felt cool thick, rather like a heavy mist. "Now, where did you come from?" she inquired, not really expecting an answer. She wasn't very fazed by the unexpected arrival; by now, she was used to many such random occurrences. But did want to know what it was. Two hours and one succesful phone call later, she knew what the little floating thing was. Apparently, when people dreamed, the dreams continue to exist, and, sometimes, they slip through the barriers of the realms and chose a gaurdian. She had also learned that the main caretaker had a shop on an island off of the shores of Gambino, and it welcomed all gaurdians. Fairly impressed that such a tiny thing had not only made it here, but chosen her, made her look at it in a new perspective. "Well, you need a name, at least....Araku sound alright?" The whisp, surprisingly, managed to give off an aura of agreement, or at least acceptance. Darkened grinned. "Well, alright then. I'll head off to that shop tomorrow. Well see what to make of all this then. For now, I gotta sleep."

She had learned a lot today. The shop itself, called 'Castaway Dreams', had sat on the shore of an island. It wasn't too impressive; a two-story cabin-esqe building that sat on white sand. Inside, it was fairly casual: several ragged couches and tables in the main room; The flat upstairs held several beanbags, a small kitchen, and various unique trinkets and items spread across the entire shop. She liked it. The people where friendly too, and she got a glimps of what Araku whould look like when he grew; a catlike animal that would eventually venture into Nowhere, the Dream's natural home, which had been under war by vicious beings aptly deemed 'Nightmares'. These Nightmares, she had learned, would attack and severly injure Dreams, often to a point where they would be reverted to a whisp-state and returned strait to their guardian's side. Looks like once Araku was an adult, he would be learning how to fight. That, she mused, would prove very intresting.

She was NOT a morning person. Something felt odd though, and looking down, she saw the reason why. 10106 had firmly attatched herself to the bookkeeper's ankles, whistling and hooting a mix of explicatives in her own language. Rune sighed. It was too early for theis... Something else was off too, though she couldn't put her finger on it. The imperious Krr'Zn'Tai often woke her up like this, and Dante wouldn't be up till noon, so why did she feel like she was missing something?...The she noticed that Araku was nowhere to be seen. A little panicked, she searched the room, only to find something small and furry curled up on the end of her bed, deep in the covers. Pulling them back a bit, she grinned slightly to see a small, cat-like creature with tan fur curled up, softly sleeping. Looks like Araku has grown to his next form. Darkened carefully picked him up, trying not to wake him as she sat him down on a nearby pillow so she could make the bed. She noticed, with no small bit of humor, that '06 had come over, sniffing the little ball of fur curiously, before sneezing a bit. Araku mearly gave small yawn, rolled over, and went back to sleep, oblivious to the purple lizard.

"What?"
"I'm going to Nowhere." he said again, looking amused at her reaction. She frowned. It was true that he had grown rapidly and was now an adult, and he would have to visit Nowhere sometime, but she didn't want him to get hurt. She glanced at him, appraising, then nodded.
"Just, be careful, alright?"
Araku just nodded serenely, curled his tan tail around himself, and smiled.

First Battle Title: First Battle --------------------- Date: 03.16.05 --------------------- Entry Type: [RP] --------------------- Entry Number: 005 --------------------- Storei Suddenly there was an odd and horrible cry that woke up the small batch of dreams, echoing and ricochetting upon the rocks and cliffs. San looked around and the brothers glanced around in fear. They're here! Cried Cai in a terrified squeak.There was an explosion of silky dark purple fur as a Nightmare soared out of the overhanging rocks and descended upon the party with snarling howls and bared teeth. He landed in the middle of the party, terror eminating from his mere presence as he glanced around hungrily at the dreams through glowing red orbs. Everyone! Young ones in the back! Protect them! Uva Ursi! Thyme! Nightshade! Silas! Let us attack! Yelled San as he jumped defensively in front of his brothers.******* OOC: Alright those who do not post in the next five posts will not be allowed to join the fight. DarkenedHorizons Araku had been walking through the long grass, wary and alert, when the snarls of something echoed, followed by what sounded like other Dreams. He quickened his pace, then stopped when he rounded a curve and came across the rest of the Dreams, apparently fighting a Nightmare. Five dreams currently stood, facing down the Nightmare, while the others hung back, protecting the little ones. He watched the fight carefully, knowing that If he got involved, he might just end up making things worse. Still, he was determined to stay close by, just in case. Storei Silas, Landen, and Thunder all attack in the same round. Silas 4+2= 6<12 Silas misses. Landen 4+3= 7<12 Landen misses. Thunder 5+4= 9<12 Thunder Misses but came close. San and Cai attack. San 6+2=8 8<12 San misses. Cai 4+3=7 7<12 Cai misses. Chrno and Valerian attack. Chrno casts Combat Guidance which adds a +1 to all attacks. Valerian casts Flame Bullit which does 2d6 points of damage. 2+6+1+(1)=10 points of damage! 30-10=20 The Nightmare shrieks in pain as the flame burns and quickly goes out of his furr and turns viciously to Valerian. Uva attacks. 3+3+1=7 7<12 Uva misses. Wolke and Valon attack. Wolke casts Combat Guidance which adds a +1 to all attacks. Valon 6+2+2=10 10<12 Very close! gonk Lightning attack. 6+2+2=10 10<12 Close! Nightmare attacks. twisted Finishing off his first prey, the nightmare jumped and twisted at Nightshade, clawing at her. (Don't hurt me!) 5+8=13 13-4=-9 (I'm sorry!) Nightshade is hit and almost instantly as the giant paw leaves her fur she fades into a whisp and into her owner's lap. Thyme attacks with flame bullet which does 2d6 worth of damage. 6+5+2=13 eek blaugh 20-13=7 ^^! The nightmare is now whimpering in pain, still struggling to win through the battle. Second Round!Nightmare:9 San:10 Cai:19 Chrono:1 Silas:16 Valon:18 Landen:15 Thunder:3 Lightning:15 Wolke:5 Uva Ursi:9 Thyme:10 Valerian:4 All of my dreams will attack. One dream is able to enter the fight.DarkenedHorizons Seeing a dream fade out of the battle, Araku growled his anger. Eager to do his part, he bounded down the hill and lept into the space that the other dream had vacated, snarling. Just because he's rather read than fight didn't mean that he didn't know how. After all, hidden under all of his bookish-ness and quiet contemplation was a spark of fire just waiting to be blown on. He launched himself at the Nightmare, teeth bared. Storei Alrighty, here we go! Cai attacks: 5+3+2=10<12 Cai misses Valon attacks: 6+2+2=10 10<12 Valon misses Silas attacks: 6+2+2=10 10<12 Silas misses Landen and Lightning attack: 1+3+2= 6<12 6+4+2= 12=12!! domokun 12-7=-5 The nightmare shrieked a terrible cry as it suddenly cringed away from Lightning's attack, whimpering as it transformed into a whisp. 2+3=5 5>4 In the dust of the battle, Lightning's eyes is caught by a glimpse on the ground... Storei All of the dreams who participated in the battle recieve... San: Red scroll Cai: Green scroll Chrono: Yellow Scroll Silas: Red Scroll Valon: Green Scroll Landen: Green Scroll Thunder: Green Scroll Lightning: Yellow Scroll Wolke: Red Scroll Uva Ursi: Yellow Scroll Thyme: Green Scroll Valerian: Red Scroll Araku:Green Scroll *blinks at the sheer richness of the Nightmare and treis to imagine it loaded with 13 scrolls*

Introductions Title: Introductions --------------------- Date: 03.22.05 --------------------- Entry Type: [RP] --------------------- Entry Number: 006 --------------------- DarkenedHorizons A bit startled at the abrupt ending of the battle, Araku blinked as a green scroll appeared in front of him. Always curious, he investigated it a little, pleased that he would now be able use the magic in it. Remembering where he was, he looked around, noticing the others who were in the fight also recieving a scroll. He flushed slightly, realizing that he didn't know anyone here, and ducked his head slightly. Guine The dark blue Dream let out a sigh of relief as the Nightmare disappeared. He turned his head to the Dream who had entered the fight last. He now had his green scroll with him. Vale nodded to him, "Thank you for helping us. I doubt we could have beaten it with out your help." DarkenedHorizons Araku looked up when the dark blue Dream addresed him and smiled slightly at his words."I really did close to nothing...I think the credit is due far more to those two." he replyed, motioning to Thunder and Lightning. He turned back to him, before continuing. "Thank you though. I hope your friend is alright. Oh, and I'm Araku." Guine The dark blue nodded, "My name is Valerian, it is nice to meet you. Actually, I don't know anyone here! How careless of me! To think, someone who just comes and goes, they should know more Dreams than most!" he ranted, trying to come up with a good excuse for not knowing anyone! DarkenedHorizons Araku nodded and looked around the other dreams who were congregating around Lightning. "I like meeting new people." he admitted with a grin. "And it's my first time here, so, apart from you, everyone's a stranger." Guine Vale smiled, "Well then! Why don't we go and meet the others? Shall we?" he asked before making his way over to the young one named Lightning, "Smashing good job with that Nightmare! I do say!"Uva cocked his head at the dark blue Dream. "Ah! Yes, she did do a wonderful job! How do you do?" he asked bowing to the blue Dream, "My name is Uva Ursi. I want to thank you for your help during the fight! With leaders such as yourself and San here to help us; let me just say that we are lucky!" "It is wonderful to meet you too! My name is Valerian," he said also bowing, "I would like you to meet a friend of mine who helped with the Nightmare," he said, nodding for Araku to come over and introduce himself. DarkenedHorizons Araku nodded in consent and followed Valerian. Upon being introduced to the others he gave a small bow. There where many dreams here, he thought to himself, but more where sure to exist outside of Nowhere. "It's a pleasure to meet you." he said politely. "I'm Araku."

Something unexpected would happen. The mountain upon which he, and the dreams Araku had just met stood would begin to tremble violently. From high above the mountain rocks began to tumble down like giant marbles tossed over a ridge. The ground beneath Araku would suddenly split wide open and send the unsuspecting Dream tumbleing wildely down a incline. At the end, Araku came to a stop, unharmed but in desperate need for a bath. ~Congradulations, Araku has stumbled upon the Earth Temple. The incline he took a tumble down was in fact a staircase that had been covered by many years of rockslides. The current mountain quake has cleared the tunnel of derbies, and sent Araku rolling down into it's inner sanctum. Though the Earth Temple is dusty, Dark, and in desperate need of cleaning, it is still intact. The Temple is a wide cavern with many intricate pillars covered in runes spread through out it. There is a small inner building with a stone door firmly closed, and the image of a mountain inscribed upon it's face.~Unknown mind Lightning smiled at the others and was about to speak as the ground started shaking violently. Thunder laid down next to her and put his paws over his eyes. Lightning stayed standing. She and her brother were the youngest but she knew that Silas would have problems keeping authority now she had killed a nightmare. She looked over to Landen and Valon who had jumped back and out of the way of the shaking earth and then over to the dreams that had just came over to her. She then saw the ground beneath Araku open up and swallow him. "Hey.." She didn't really know what to say. Her call made Thunder look and creep on his belly to the hole and look down. As the shaking died down Lightning jumped down the hole looking for the dream.
Thunder jumped the hole to make sure the other dreams were ok. Somehow he knew his sister was fine. He looked to see Valona and Landen creep forward ready to attack if a nightmare appeared.
Lightning coughed as the dust started to clear and she saw the dream. She ran over to him and nuzzled him. She didn't know him but she care for him none the less. She then looked around the temple in astonishment. She helped the dream up and licked some of the dirt off his fur. "Are you ok? I am lightning by the way. We didn't really meet!" She laughed and looked around again. "This place is amazing." [End Part 1]

Coughing, he pulled himself up of the floor and tried to shake all the dust and dirt out of his fur. Finished, though still quite dirty, he looked around at the vast cavern. Once the cloud of dust had settled a bit, he heard another Dream land behind him. Turning, he saw the dream he had been introduced to earlier. Laughing at her words, he nodded. "I'm fine, thank you. Yes it is. What do you suppose this place is?" Glancing around the dimly lit place, he felt the scholarly side of him emerge, eager to investigate and explore. Unknown mind ((Earth Temple)) Lightning smiled. "I dont know what this place is." She looked up and then turned to the dream. "lets look around before everyone else gets down here!" She smiled as she thought that Thunder would keep the others busy for a while fussing to make sure everyone was ok. DarkenedHorizons ((Earth Temple)) "Hmm..."Araku muttered as he made his way over to the stone door, punning a paw over the mountain inscribed deep in the rock. Pausing to take a sweeping glance of the whole room, he moved to a pillar to examine a runes. "It looks almost like.." he drifted off for a moment, before continuing. "Like a temple or something. Like in the Ancient Egypt books Darkened has at home..." [End Part 2]

"If only the girl who looks after us was here. SHe reads runes easily." She looked around the temple and then it clicked. "oh Aren't there suppose to be breeding temples. Is this one of them?" She looked at him curiously her head cocked to one side.DarkenedHorizons ((Earth Temple)) Araku looked around again. "I think your right.." he said, flushing slightly. "This probably is one of the breeding temples..And judging by the mountain on that door, it must have something to do with the Earth.." Guine ((Earth Temple)) Why was everything so dark? Vale opened his eyes, staring into the darkness. Where were they? How long had he been out? He turned over, looking for any other sign of life. Something under him twitched and Vale quickly backed off. It was that red and white Dream he had just met. What was his name? "Uva? Hey! Wake up," he said, shaking the Dream, who twitched again, but opened an eye.What was this place? "Hmm?" Uva Ursi sat up and shook his head to get the dirt off. "Shall we ride that again?" he asked with sarcasm, looking around. "Where are we?" Vale also tried shaking off the dirt. "I'm not sure, I do remember there was an earthquake. Suppose that was the cause of this?" he asked."I do not know. Perhaps we shall take a look around?" Uva asked, looking up at the spot of light shining down on them. Lady Guine was going to have a cow if she found out that her 'Baby' was left all by himself somewhere in Nowhere. Poor Thyme... Just then a small rock hit Uva in the head... Then something green and fluffy... gonk (A little bit before) "HEY!" Thyme called down the hole. What was happening? He couldn't just sit there, waiting for them to come back up! What if Uva gets eaten by one of those Nightmares?!? Thyme cursed his luck and decided against all his better judgement, and jumped in also.
