"Master... Master..." The Sunrise colored mouse squeaked frantically as she scurried through the grass, her whiskers nearly even with the Angelic's hind leg before he took another step forward, prompting another flurry of scuttling steps. "Oh Master, I do not think this is a good idea... Not at all... Not not at all..."
Atora paused to shake her head, blink her dark eyes, then leapt into motion again. Her little tail was like a frantically lashing banner as she practically galloped after her charge, little voice almost drowned out as she hustled. "Not good at all.."

Turning a kind golden eye down to the mouse who was his advisor and only friend here, Kaelien kept his pace put used a paw to scoop her up so she could leap to his shoulders and continue to squeak her concerns. The teen angelic had left his family pride in the mountains, turning to the rest of the lands for friendship and perhaps -one day- love. Naturally Atora had come -she rarely let him do anything alone- and worried all the way. But nothing could bring him down.
"Atora." He soothed. "Everything will be well..."

The lone female traveled through the lands carefully...gracefully...her head held high. Though she had been alone for most of her life, she would never back down. However...she wasn't well suited for social outings.

So, when her eyes fell upon the teenage angelic male, she stopped. What was he doing so far from home? Most of the angelics lived up in the mountains...what brought him all the way down here? Her ears flicked as she heard a little voice chitter. Must be a mouse with him...

Keeping low to the ground, she continued to watch him, her eyes following his movements. He seemed so sure of himself...much like royalty. Funny, there were no Kings in this land...if he was one of those, he would be in for a rude awakening.

Kaelien tilted his head -listening PAST the insistant squeaking of his advisor- to the sounds of the land around him. This land was so different from his beloved mountains, where sound echoed and garbled amongst the stone peaks, he could hear for miles...
The sound of the lioness moving parallel to him was not hard to pick up. Without a word he glanced in the direction he thought she was, ear flicking.

"MASTER!" Atora squealed, fear tinging her voice as she leaned forward and pleaded in his ears. "Strangers everywhere! PLEASE to go home!"
Poor Atora, to her the mountains were filled with nooks in which she could hide... Here, there was nothing but big, wide-open world...

Astra smiled gently at the mouse. So worried and small. Gently, the angelic decided to put her mind at ease.

Gracefully, she stepped forward from the brush, her paws gently brushing up against the land and dirt. She stared kindly to the pair, giving a gentle chuff. "Far from home?" Astra asked kindly, tilting her head in question. "Where do you hail from?"

If Atora had been bad before the sight of the lioness, the sound of her voice nearly gave the poor mouse a stroke. She squeeled in terror and hid in Kael's mane, shaking. Peeking from between the sky-blue hairs, she flicked her tail, instantly relieved. An angelic!
"Sky Mistress..." Atora squeeked.

Kael almost laughed at the mouse, but contained himself, smiling. He bowed with a flare of his wings, careful not to dislodge the quivering Atora. "Greetings Fellow Sky-Child... And yes, I'm quite far from home..."
He folded his wings, smile softening. "High in the Mountains... I am Kaelien, and you?

Astra gave a gentle smile, chuckling a little. She returned the bow with a graceful nod of her head, wings out and held downward. "My name is Astra. It is a pleasure to meet the both of you." She came a little closer, then stopped taking in the air around the two. Fear clogged the mouse while serenity wafted about the male. "Tell me, why travel so far?" Astra asked, settling upon her haunches in the grass, her wings close and neatly tucked at her side and back. "I do hope you haven't had any trouble coming from the mountains."

"No trouble at all." Kaelien murmured, carefully sitting. He folded his wings so Atora could seek shelter between his back and wing-joint, where the little mouse could blend her sunrise fur into the shades of his wings. "In fact, I've not run into anyone since I came down from the High Peeks... As far as why..."
He trailed off with a shrug. "I wanted to see things, things outside the mountains... It stands to reason I would have to travel beyond them."

Atora slid out of his mane and curled beneath the sheltering curl of wings. She wrapped her tail around herself, hiding amongst the feathers that blended with her fur until all that could be seen were her coal-black eyes. She twitched her whiskers, blinking.
"Master says this is the only way." She muttered. "Not so sure... Big, big world; not so sure."

Astra chuckled gently. An inquisitive Sky Prince? Not much of those around. Most of the snooty angelics kept to the mountains. This one was humble, and much much different. How intriguing. "Well, there are other ways, dear one." She said to the mouse, chuckling. "There is the boring flying...and the sending of others...but it's not as good as going out there yourself, and seeing with your own eyes..." Her one could not help but trail back to the males as she gave a small smile.

Atora leapt up his back and practically howled -as much as a shy mouse could- in Kaelien's ear. Her voice was suddenly even more high-pitched, filled with anger. "Master could have sent OTHERS! OH WHAT AN IDEA! Master could send others! Master and Atora stay home! But noooooooooo! How BRIGHT Master is! Master is a Prince and so must go! STUPIDMASTER!"
She nipped his ear before returning to her post. "BADMALE." And there she stewed.

Kaelien could not hide the guilty wince, or the glare he shot Astra. It was playful, the look between friends, suddenly smoothed away. He didn't know her quite that well...
"Well done." He sighed, smiling in spite of himself. "I am sorry, Little One... The Lady is right.. I could have sent someone to see it all for me.. And then had them return...But it is not the same..."

"No, it isn't." The female strode closer, looking down over at the stewing mousette. "I'm sorry little one, but your master is right. One should see things for their own eyes, for their own selves. There is no point in living if you can't." Astra leaned over and nudged her cheek gently before turning to the Prince. "So, for that reason, I shall be your Guardian on this plane. You two shall be accompanied by me always. Can't have royalty running around unprotected now can we?" Astra chuckled gently, looking over to Kaelien. "That is...IF the prince desires my company."

Kaelien sighed, visibly wilting slightly, his wings drooping. Trust the females to band together and find him in the wrong, even though Astra seemed to be playing both sides of this little game, to his astounded male senses. How could female do that? Say he was wrong and right in the same breath and make him feel guilty for it?
"If the lady will promise to forget she ever heard ANYTHING about my being royalty I shall consider her COMPANY a great pleasure." He said firmly. "I do not want to be kowtowed to, or babysat, which is very much the reason I LEFT my home in the first place..."

Laughter filled the air as she stared into his eyes. "Oh please. I'll treat you like I treat everyone." Nodding to him, she slipped away seeming to disappear from their sights. As she moved, she silently went into the welcoming jungle, wings tucked to her sides. "I suggest you keep up, Kaelien." She turned to look at him. "The world can be a dangerous place." Her eyes glinted with slight mischief before stepping fully into the belly of the forest.

Atora was slightly mollified by the female's words. Kael could have sent someone else, but it wouldn't be the same... So he was both wrong, and right... She sighed and nosed Kael's shoulder in silent apology and forgiveness, peeking out of the feathers to watch Astra.
"Dangerous place..." She sighed. "Oh master..."

Kaelien grinned at Astra, crouching with a flick of his tail, then leaping after her into the dark woods. He knew the demonics ruled the jungle, but had yet to meet one, and so he dared tread in their territory... He wanted to see the world, and the jungle was part of it.
"I'll protect you." He offered with a cheeky smile. "As I protect Atora... I'm not afraid..."
He moved at an easy trot, keeping up with her.

"Protect me?" Astra gave a gentle chuckle. "Thank you, young Sky Prince, but I can protect myself." Her tail flicked brushing up against his cheek and chin as she moved. As the forest thickened, light began to disappear and the darkness took over. The jungle was thick and dense, the different sorts of instincts and small things moving about, and quickly out of the way of the two lions. Astra kept low and silent, her ears flicking, eyes scanning the area. Her guard was continuously up as she moved, the silence deafening between them.

He growled at the 'young prince' crack and the teasing tailfeather, snapping his teeth loudly on air in an empty threat. Folding his wings tightly to his back he followed her path, doing his best not to damage any of the plantlife around him.
"Are we intruding upon any known territories?" He asked in a soft whisper, wondering at her caution. "I would hate to trespass on another's realm... I try to live as I would have someone else do so..."
His code was strict and simple. No trespassing or poaching in another's lands -at least not intentionally-, no lack of manners or courtesy, always protect or aid a lady when one may... The list went on.
