((OOC: *ahem* Ok, I know I haven't RP'd much. I'm taking Ilori off of this base: An ackward, introverted child that would rather spend time alone, but was very observant of his family. An angsty teenager who tended to take things WAY out of context and make them worse than they were---for anything he made up a story for why it was bad---And that eventually led to the argument he did have with Poinsetta once about her having a boyfriend. He eventually took off on his own because of the tension he tended to cause by being... overdramatic...and misconstruing situations. *pets Ilori* I think this gives reason enough for why without being too specific on details?)) He was coming out and wandering because he COULD---well, this land was good enough for anyone. Who cared who he might end up seeing? It didn't matter, he---
Ok, he was out slinking around because he was hoping he'd run into a family member. But he wasn't going to admit that to himself. No, certainly not. He didn't want anything to do with them. There had been too much yelling and---Well, ok, he couldn't actually REMEMBER any yelling. Or really any of the arguments. Well, not the ones that now that he was older he didn't understand that... Well.... His parents had been right.... and... well...
He wasn't admitting he'd been wrong. Really.
Ok. He just wanted to make sure that---Well, humph. He could be here. It wasn't like he'd been told not to or anything. It wasn't a big deal. Really.
His posture told what he fought his mind to not believe--head and haunches down, looking pretty sorry for himself and fairly submissive to anyone that would cross his path.
But what exactly was he going to do when he ran into someone? He didn't know whether he was welcome or would be tossed out.

The first to cross his path was a little cat named Miranda who merely pranced up to him and looked him in the face. "You do realize your mother has been worried about you?" Though she was technically Sienna's familiar, she tended to look over the whole family...and with how big the family had become (certianly now that with Yukio was tied into the Rose Petals with his offspring) it was becoming quite a challenge. Still, the little cat did what she could to see that everyone was okay and safe while trying to not get stepped on by the bigger cats in the process."Hush, Miranda or one day you will be eaten. Perhaps it'd serve you right," came the reply from a branch of the nearest tree where Yukio's little bird Samara perched, flapping her wings with a bit of annoyance at the little cat. "Perhaps you should make yourself useful and stop demanding things and go find Naida."

((Oh... heavens...that thing is cute...And, eck, warning, Ilori's all emo. *pokes him* Stoppit!))
Ilori's ears perked up and his head fell closer to the ground as he looked to examine Miranda closer, obviously surprised by her appearance, "Ehm..."
Then he was doing the same thing, but now up to see Samara. He tilted his head, amusement and shame battling for supremacy. Finally he looked back to Miranda, shaking his head, "Worried? I thought she'd be glad to see the trouble gone."
He'd learned to make his words light-hearted sounding, and now that he was facing another creature his cocky side came back, body straightening and head raised just a bit to signal that he didn't really care. It was a lie though, and the uncertainty and concern never once left his eyes.
"Don't bother getting her. I bet she's busy with the others. Yes?" His perfect sarcasm was ruined by the final question, and by the fact he now looked beyond the little thing in the direction he supposed his mother may still spend much of her time. He clawed the ground nervously, then shook himself, "You can tell her I'm well for me."
And the final statement was said in something that crossed as a demand and a question, again he brought his head low to peer closely Miranda. She would do that for him, wouldn't she? Then...then he could say that he'd come and tried. Yup, this would constitute as trying. Yeah...

Miranda, as bold as ever padded a few steps closer and looked Ilori in the eye as much as the little cat could as Samara had taken off. She knew it'd be her job to keep him occupied long enough for her to find the others, which wouldn't take long....least not to find Nadia, Yuiko and Soda. Then again...maybe she could do it faster. "How silly, your mother cares very much about you and all your other eight brothers and sisters , not to mention your neices and nephews....Cosmo, Lilac!"
As if summoned two ghosts appear out of nowhere, Cosmo first then Lilac....they'd actually been there previous to his arrival, having been playing a game of hide and seek with the little cat. Neither one very reognizable to Ilori, except for perhaps Lilac who looked like her mom Sienna in markings and somewhat in colors. Cosmo, since he was nearly a copy of his dad, would not be however.
"You rang, Miss Miranda? Hello, Uncle Ilori!" Cosmo said, first ruffling the top of the little cat's head and then waving a paw in his uncle's direction, a big grin on his face.
Lilac, however nudged her brother and muttered, "We shouldn't be so rude...bound to give lions a heart attack introducing ourselves like this..." Turning her gaze to her Uncle she offered an apology. "Sorry..Cosmo like's scaring the heck out of others...."

Ilori snorted at that, "I'm pret---Augh!" Being so close to Miranda, Cosmo's sudden appearance close enough to touch her made it appear he suddenly gained the ability to fly, jumping up and springing backwards at the same time.
His ears fell back, entire body bristling, "Someone's going to knock you so hard that---er--" He paused. Was that even possible? He hadn't even caught their scent. Did they have one? Ilori sniffed at the air, then took a few steps forward paw half up to bat at Cosmo, then it came down, swiftly encircling Miranda and dragging her close in a quick movement. He crouched over her.
"None of the family's like you." Definitely a challenge, though while he said it his eyes hovered over Lilac. But Sienna didn't have cubs, she couldn't! She--she was just-- Just like Poinsettia! They weren't supposed to have other lions looking at them even! They did though and--The thought process brought a low growl out of him.
Seeing, hearing, knowing that his family was changing was precisely what Ilori didn't want to admit to.

"Of course no one's like us! They didn't die yet!" Cosmo laughed at his uncle's reaction, falling over and rolling, ghostly paw slapping the ground in mirth.
Lilac was a bit more composed and sat on her haunches. "What Cosmo means is that we died before we were born...Mama, I mean Sienna, gave birth to three stillborns...me, Cosmo and our sister Rosa. We've made it our priority to watch over the family, much like Miranda here does. After all, what easier to get messages from one lion to another than to have a relative that's a ghost and can just come and go anywhere they please? We may be dead, but we do come in quite handy." For a moment, she disappeared and then reappeared in the same spot and pose. "Mama would tan your hide for being so disrespectful. Speaking of which, they aren't far away. Samara's given the news to Grandma and Soda, who's your youngest sister, Uncle Ilori, and also to Mama and Uncle Yukio who's trying to get cousin Kama to come as well. Makes me glad Mama decided to pay a visit to see Grandma for a bit."

Ilori slowly rose from his position over Miranda, one paw batting her just barely as he did so. These two had him so confused. He didn't understand. Stillborns? Ghosts? If there were ghosts, why hadn't he seen any before now? It didn't make sense, and he didn't want to believe them, but it was hard not to when they spoke with such familiarity over the family. Still.... wouldn't Sienna be just ruined by them?
He had a whole army of lions coming his way too apparently, but what else could he expect? It was his family afterall. They tended to move like schools of fish at times. Ilori took a glance around, wondering what his best escape tactic could be if--Mmm, he didn't let himself think there.
As Ilori thought, he stared, and then started to circle around Lilac and Cosmo, ears still laid back and fur still bristled, but now more out of cautious curiosity than anything.
"I don't want to see them all," He finally mustered, trying to put disinterest in his voice. But he was a bad liar. "I, uh, have. Got. I--I need to--Well, I didn't come just to visit!" He finally blustered out, "And I don't want to be bothered by them all! I just want Mama!"
Oh, yeah, that last sentence of truth sounded like the big, bad lion he was trying to be alright. Realizing that and angered by it, Ilori smacked a twig near to him in the general direction of Lilac, it falling well short of hitting her.
