Vivuli'vibibi made her way through the shadowy Savannah, her dark pelt blending in quite well. The only thing that made her stick out was the skull on her head and the spine and rib cage on her back. At the moment though she wasn't too worried about sticking out, she was far away from her destination and it didn't matter if she was seen here. Her light blue eyes scanned the Savannah checking for movement, while she didn't care if she was seen she didn't want to be snuck up on.
She paused her walk to stop and look up at the sky. Checking out the star's and their position she smiled to herself. Once her eyes fell onto the full moon though she scowled. The light from the moon would make her mission more difficult than it already was going to be. She sincerely hoped that she wouldn't run into anyone else that would make the night more difficult.

Mzawa-eusi yawned as he lay stretched out a low branch of a tree, just sort of soaking up the night. He made it a point not to wander around much at night, for a big reason. It was his purpose in life to rescue and defend the helpless, but nighttime was the time of hunting and killing... and if he tried to save all the poor prey beasts being slaughtered tonight well... he'd run himself ragged just trying to save half of them.
Cowardly, perhaps, not to do his utmost, but... well, he didn't feel like putting himself through so much trouble, when they'd be in danger again the next night. That's why he was in his favorite sleeping tree. Up, out of the way... and if danger came to him, well, he'd see it coming from far off. It worked out well both ways.
Though... what was that? Movement? Orange eyes narrowed as he lifted his head, hooking a paw over the branch he rested on. A soft, thick tail flicked gently, hanging down from the branch to swish back and forth.

Viv dropped her eyes from the sky and continued on her way. Looking ahead she stopped, a bit in front of her she could see a set of orange eyes attached to a shadowy form up in a tree. Hmmm, She stared at the creature in the tree, unable to tell what it was from where she was at. It took her a moment but eventually she decided that she would go and see what was in that tree, she had all night to get the leopard cub after all.
Shifting direction she headed for three that had the creature in it. Her tail flicked out behind her as she stalked towards the tree. She hadn't quite decided what she'd do about the creature in the tree, she probably wouldn't decide until she found out exactly what it was.
When she got close enough to the tree she paused and narrowed her eyes looking up into the branches. Ah, It was a leopard, but it wasn't quite an adult yet. He shouldn't be much trouble She chuckled to herself waiting to see if he spotted her.

Mzawa's eyes widened at the lioness that revealed to him out of the night, sliding the shadows as though a part of them.
She was dark in color, sleek and lovely. Reaching his adolescence now, he'd come to appreciate the female form, and she was one of the better he'd seen. Even if she was a lioness and not a leopardess... But the scars that decorated her form, the fierce looking bone jewelry... there was only one thing she could be. A villianess!
Excitement coursed through the leopard as he rose to stand on his branch, fluffy tail flicking eagerly side to side. Finally! How long had he been playing the hero bit, for nothing more than lame rescues from natural sources? And here, at long last, was someone who looked worthy of him, an evil he could be proud to say he'd fought!
Screwing up his courage, he called out to her, his head low and orange eyes nearly glowing in the darkness of the tree. "Halt! Who tresspasses beneith the tree of Mzawa'eusi, Hero of the Savannah?" He inflated his voice, trying to sound older and more powerful than he really was.

Viv tilted her head as she watched the little leopard announce himself. At the words 'Hero of the Savannah' the dark lioness couldn't help but laugh. "Hero of the Savannah? My, you do have an over active imagination don't you?" Chuckling, she looked up at him with a small smile, blue eyes flashing. "I wasn't aware the tree belonged to such a great hero." Her smile widened, not intimidated by the younger leopard in the least. He was highly amusing though.
"If you must know, I'm called Vivuli'vibibi, Princess of the Shadows." She decided she'd throw out the meaning of her name as well. It seemed to go along well with this game he seemed to be playing.

Her words made the young leopard frown down at her, his head raising till he looked down his nose at her, his ears back against his skull.
"You will not lower my guard with your venomous words, Lioness! I see you for what you are and you can't intimidate me." Her name, said in that voice she had, made him shiver, though he worked not to show it. Oh, truly she was the one he'd been searching for for so long. Princess of Shadows? It was an apt title.
"What is one such as you doing here, in the lands that are under my protection? I warn you, if you think to commit any heinous crimes while within my territory, you can be sure that I will be there to thwart you! I'll brooke no evil on my watch." He really was trying to make himself out to be bigger and stronger than he was, glad of the tree that added to his height. He was also probably safer here where she couldn't reach... Mzawa suddenly felt himself at a bit of a disadvantage in comparison to this larger, intimidating lioness.

The lioness's blue eyes stared up at him from behind her skull mask, he obviously wasn't that happy with her sticking around. She didn't expect him to be.
"You won't? Now I'm surprised, usually my venomous words do the trick." She pretended to pout for a moment, as if in thought. Looking into his golden eyes she smirked. "How about my charming smile and pretty looks?" She chuckled, showing off her smile for the leopard. She sauntered up to the base of the tree, glancing up through the branches, she wouldn't climb it- of course, Mzawa didn't know that.
Hearing his questions and claims she laughed and reared up, hooking her claws into the tree's bark, sharpening them. "Oh, I'm just off to kidnap some cubs, spread panic and discord. The usual." Unhooking her claws from the bark, her bracelets jingling as she moved back far enough to look up at him easily. "Why don't you come down here and play? Are you scared of little ol' me?"

Mzawa scowled down at Viv, hearing her plans and the way her voice slipped under his fur like water, chilling him to the bone. Oh, it was truly delicious to have found a true villaness!
"I see only the evil that lurks in your heart!" He called down as he perked on the stout tree limb, his tail held high as he leaned over to look down at her. Her smile was disarming, but he recovered quickly, struggling to immune himself to it. He was both shocked and not surprised that she admitted to her crimes, feeling justified now in his distrust of her.
"You shall do nothing of the sort." He called to her, lifting his head to strike what he hoped was a heroic pose. The adolescent was probably just comical, but it was enough that he believed it. "I'll stop you if I have to. Promise me to reform your ways and I shall be lenient with you."

Viv laughed at his words, grinning up at him. He was so young, so spirited this definitely intrigued her. She wondered how far their little game could go, it was that thought that kept her from walking away from the tree and ignoring him. "Well, we'll just have to do something about that." She never thought about the fact that others might see what her actions as evil- not that she cared. She did what she wanted whatever others thought about her.
After moving back to stand on all fours and stare up at him she chuckled, his pose was indeed comical. She highly doubted he could actually stop her, but she didn't mention it as she wanted this game to continue. "I'll make you a deal, big boy." She circled the tree, keeping glittering blue eyes on him the entire time. "You come down here and face me on even ground and I promise I'll be good." She sent him her most charming smile, the lie not showing on her muzzle. It would take more than one adolescent leopard to turn her into a good kitty but he didn't know that.

The adolescent thought about it for a long while, a frown on his young face as his thick tail flicked back and forth behind him, lashing the air.
"I'm not sure I believe you, but I suppose I should give you the benefit of the doubt..." He didn't trust her, obviously, but what sort of a hero was he, to be afraid of a single villianess? "Stand back, Vivuli! I'm coming down." Mzawa's eyes never left the dark form at the base of the tree as he dug his claws in and headed down. Tail first, of course. He moved carefully, one steady paw at a time, as he lowered himself down the tree. At the last few feet, he let go and pushed off, landing in a flashy little movement. He was so not showing off for the lioness, but he couldn't help lifting his head and tail high, stealing a glance to see if Viv noticed his prowess with climbing down trees.
Now that the leopard was down though... he wasn't sure why. It was certainly easier to converse, but she'd distracted him into acting without really thinking about what would happen after. Tensed, he prepared to leap back up into the tree if she should try to make some violent motion at him.

The lioness stopped her circling, settling into a sitting position in front of the tree. Her eyes watched the leopard from behind her skull mask, an amused smile on her maw. This was more fun than she had in a while.
Hearing his words she chuckled. "Awww, you think I'd lie to you? Never." She smiled once again and backed up a couple steps so he could mange to get down to the ground. She watched him the entire time and couldn't help but be a little impressed at the way he landed on the ground. She knew that she wouldn't be able to climb out of a tree as gracefully, but that was why she didn't climb them in the first place.
Once he was standing solidly on the ground she stepped forwards, circling him slowly, her tail brushing across his legs. "See, this is so much nicer isn't it?" With a chuckle she batted her tail across his chest, stopping to stand in front of him.

She was... certainly larger on the ground than she'd appeared while he was in the tree. He blinked his bright eyes a few times, stiffening when she circled him and her tail brushed against him. He almost shivered at the contact, but caught himself at the last moment, knowing a hero wouldn't be scared of a single villainess.
"Well, there's no way to know, you know." He huffed, bluffing over his nerves. "You're evil, remember? You're capable of all sorts of things!"
He looked up at her when she stopped in front of him, his head lifted high as he tried to make himself as big as possible, hoping to make her at least consider him her equal. Slim chance, but still...
"Its... fine." He said, his voice dropping a little before rising in strength again. "I don't need to hide in a tree to talk to you. I'm not afraid."

Viv smiled to herself as she watched his bravado, he thought he was big and strong. It amused her for some unknown reason, but no matter what the reason she was having fun playing with him. "Of course I'm evil! But I'd never lie, not to you." She purred the words at him, a smirk playing on her muzzle behind the skull. The dark lioness enjoyed playing this game with the leopard, she usually tired of them quickly and was happy this one was keeping her entertained.
She stepped forwards invading his personal space, wanting to see his reaction. "No, no you don't, you're a big strong leopard after all." Leaning even farther forwards she whispered into his ear, like the snake in the garden of Eden seducing the good to become evil, "Now that I think of it, you'd make a good partner."

Mzawa snorted at her insistance that she would never lie to him. Fat chance of that! She was a villan! Everyone knew that they lied sooner than tell the truth of something. But... it still made him feel funny, for her to purr at him like that, promising that out of everyone, she'd never lie to him. Made him feel fluttery, which was certainly -not- how a hero should feel about a villan.
He tensed as she moved closer, puffing himself up further till he looked quite comical, his ears back and his eyes narrowed at her. Having her call him big and strong only made the fluttering worse and he scowled, trying to get a handle on himself.
Wait... partner?
Mzawa snorted and broke into laughter at the suggestion. "Partner?! Now I know you're crazy, lioness. A hero, partner with a villaness? Only when meerkats fly! Unless you've decided to give up you life of evil and come to the side of good?" Fat chance of that, but he couldn't help being just the teenies bit hopeful that it was what she really meant. He wouldn't mind getting to know her a little better...
