What are your opinions on Ghostly Hitchhikers? They are basically spirits whom tend to haunt roads and hitching a ride with drivers. Afterwards, disappearing every time they reach their destination.

I can proudly say I have a ghostly hitchhiker not far from where I live. Or at least there are reports of one. Found the link: My Hitchhiker

I dunno really D=
When I hear that term, I remember something that happened a few years ago
My cousins and I were sitting in the back of our uncles truck, and the quickest way home was to drive through a road that was in a cemetery... it was getting dark too, so I was spooked and I started crying, my uncle being the a*****e he is said "Shh, if you're too loud... ghosts will follow us home and it will be all your fault." Needless to say, that shut me up, but I still cried more : (

Also, something I noticed when reading other people's stories was that they are dually interpreted as spirits of the dead and demons. Has anyone ever heard of the sort of occasions when you do not pick up a hitchhiker for whatever reason and they begin to chase your car at an impossible speed?

My knowledge on ghosts and ghouls it limited to the UK (mainly England) so I don't know about other place but I've never heard of the hitchhiker chasing the car if they don't stop.
I did hear one story in which even though the car didn't stop the hitchhiker still appeared in the car next to the driver.
