The huskey mare blew her bangs out of her eyes for the hundreth time while she grumbled under her breath. It was a good thing they were as short as they were for if they were much longer she would have eaten them just to get them out of her way. Flicking her tail she chased away the pesky bugs that swarmed about her. Today really wasn't looking out to be going very well. Everyone back at the teepee was off doing thier own thing. Even Taylor had been away for sometime but Sadie had heard that she had met some stallion and was trying to teach him some kind of lesson. Well good for her, she thought and continued on her way.

Sadiki enjoyed most of the summer, realizing most of the time that it was better to just lay in a river and laugh at the sun's attempts to beat him down.
Laying like a dam in the middle of the River, Sadiki smiled as a fish came and nibbled at his mane. He liked these small, quiet moments, and he was content for now, but wondering where his daughter was...

The husky mare continued her trudging up the stream with the hot sun beating down on her dark coat. The cool water was helping to keep her cool but it was doing nothing for keeping her approach silent. With every step there was a splashing of the water. She looked up in the sky for a moment, which was something she should not have done for her eye sight became slightly impaired by the glare of the sun. She was unaware that another was in the water as well nor did she realize that he was laying in the middle of the stream.

Watching as the mare approached, he made a move to get up, but stayed laying down, unwilling to be hot again. She was quite pretty, and looked seasoned. But he banished any further thoughts, since they were unneeded. Instead, he cleared his throat.
"Careful, or you'll run into someone."

Sadie stopped as she heard the words drift to her ever alert ears. She was a bit suprised to see the stallion laying right in the middle of the stream but then it faded as her mind gently reminded her that she too was in the middle of the stream, even if she wasn't laying down. She gave him a quick once over before she responded, if not a bit rudely. "Maybe you shouldn't be laying in the middle of the stream then."

He gave a quick chuckle as he stood up, already feeling the heat. "Yes, well, i find it easier to stay cool when i'm laying down." he said cooly, not minding the rudeness. He looked her over once more and smiled gently. "Anyways, my name is Sadiki Iah."

She huffed and rolled her eyes. "They why don't you lay in the shade and not in the middle of the stream?" she responded and flicked her wet tail. Seriously, who did he think he was that he could lay anywhere he wanted. "My name is, Sadie."

He looked at her for a moment before shaking the water out of his mane and grinning. "Nice to meet you, Sadie. As for laying in the stream instead of just the shade, i'm sure you know that it is much cooler in the water than in just the shade." he said gently, a soft smile on his face.
