Yazmina had heard stories about the healers among the unicorns and even her kind. As she'd gotten older, the urge to learn exactly how the power--the medicine--worked had gotten stronger, until she'd taken to asking questions of those who might know. She'd had some plants pointed out to her that would help heal hurts and take away aches and pains. One of them grew right here, along the river, but the biggest, healthiest plant she'd found grew on the inside of the riverbank, arcing out over the water. And Yazmina wasn't Dia. She wasn't as fond of the water as the palomino mare. But if she had to go in the water to get what she needed... She waded, almost gingerly, off the bank and out as deep as she dared. She didn't want to have to swim and pick at the same time. One careful step after another, she got close enough to the leafy bush to tug off a piece. She'd just turned back to the shore and headed that way when a rear foot slipped, she flailed and slapped her wings against the water for balance... And inhaled the bit of plant she'd been carrying. She coughed a couple of times, but no, it wasn't coming out. Oh dear. Oh dear indeed...

Khirsah had been roaming about as usual though he always returned before night fall to his mother as she always worried over him even though he was a strong adult and could take care of himself. having come across a mare who seemed to be messing around in the water, he had been watching from a distance when he noticed she was now in trouble. the stand offish gruff stallion who was way too much like his father at time for his own good debated with himself to help the poor mare but it wasnt a long debat before he came rushing over to where se was to help her. " you alright?" he hadn't caught the fact she had accedently swallowed a bit of plant.

Yazmina coughed another few times and croaked a, "Yes," before she cleared it and tried again. "I'm fine, thank you," she said as she waded toward the shore again, cheeks pink. "Embarrassed," she amended, "but fine. I just. Swallowed something I shouldn't have." She tipped her ear back toward the bush as if it might say something. Or tell her what to do. "But I think I'll be all right." She hoped.
And anyway, she wasn't alone. She smiled for the stallion and did her best not to look worried. "Thank you for asking. I'm Yazmina and not usually this silly. Forgive me."

" im glad your fine. my mother would never let me live it down if i saw someone in trouble and allowed them to contiune being in trouble." giving a aqward grin, Khirsah really had never been around mares other than his family ones and hema who well was more of a tom boy then a mare. " your welcome and my name is Khirsah its a pleasure also theres nothing to forgive as things happen." at the moment he was keeping himself rather gentleman like as his mother wanted him to be the sort of prouud gentleman he was suppost to be but well he was still wild, feisty and gruff wether his mother wanted him to be or not it was just who he was.

"Khirsah. That's a nice name," Yazmina said. "And thank you to your mother," she added with a little laugh. "It's always good to have people who can help if you need them." Which she hoped she wouldn't. So the plant was supposed to make someone a little sleepy as well as making them feel better, but she didn't feel sleepy yet. How awkward it would be to fall asleep in a first meeting!
She shook herself. "Were you just coming to have a drink? Or maybe to swim..."

" you have a nice name too. my mother is the outgoing type who will help anyone who needs it and so try as she might she wanted me the same way but i got my fathers personality more." if she where to fall alseep on him from the plant now he problably would not know what to do in that situation. " i was just wandering is all. i tend to do that as its something i like to do. what about yourself?"

"I try to help where I can," Yazmina admitted. "It's a good thing to do. You never know when you might really be needed. Something important could happen, after all." She smiled and shrugged her wings. "I was gathering herbs, actually. Or trying to at least." Blushing a bit, she confessed, "I think I ate one, though."

" i suppose your right and let us hope that herb doesnt do any harm." Khirsah ruffled his raffles in a slightly uneasy mannor as he was not use to mares and well to him hema didnt count as a mare cause she was nothign but a tom boy. " and i cant help but ask why you have the horn and tail." he never met any alicorn in his life so he figured she was some odd wind. grunting, he acted as if he had not noticed her blush as it was obivious against her white coat.

She was in no danger of falling asleep immediately, at any rate. In a few minutes or half an hour? Who knew? But for now she was wide awake. She noticed his shifting about and it made her want to do the same. She kept herself still, though. She'd already admitted her embarrassing mistake with the herb. She didn't need to wiggle like a filly at the same time.
"I. Oh." She smiled. "I'm an alicorn," she explained. "Horns and wings are just the way we are." She swung her tail a bit, tipping a wing down so she could see it move before she looked back at the stallion. "Some of us have tails like this, like unicorns, I suppose. Others have a tail like yours. That depends on family."
She tilted her head, then. "You've never seen one of my kind before?"

" err no i never have. my father is a wind...well partly since his side of the family is made up of grounded and wind. my mother and her family are all grounded." rufflign his wings in a aqward mannor, he gave a equaly aqward grin. " mind if we walk? staying in place makes me fidget too much." really he did prefure to move around instead of staying in place talking.

Walking was probably for the best, all things considered. It would keep her awake and hopefully coherent. She gave herself a little shake, wingfeathers lifting slightly before they settled and smoothed again. "I don't mind," she said. "It's a nice enough day that walking won't be too hot or too tiring. And," she added, "it's nice to meet you."

" yes it is a nice day to walk and its a pleasure to meet you as well." Khirsah started to walk in a random direction, wantign to get back to walking in the nice sun. stretchign his wigns a bit before settling them to his back, he was glad they where now walking as it was less aqward for him now. sadly he now had forgotten about the weed thing by now as he was focused on not being a complete idiot. normaly he was use to himself, liang and hema arguing back and forth while messing around but he had known both since foalhood.

Yazmina hadn't forgotten, but it was nothing worth alarming the stallion over. If she felt the need, she'd say something. For now, though, she felt more or less the way she always did, so she walked along beside him without a complaint.
"You must have been born here, to have family nearby. Do you have any favorite places? What would you say is a place that must be seen, in these lands. Something that, if I left tomorrow, I should see before i go?"

" well i come from a rather large family atlest by my father's side of the family and as for my mothers well its gotten rather large on by her brother's side of the family who is my uncle so yes i was born in these lands." Khirsah had never been asked such a question like she had asked right after talking about his family. " to be bluntly honest i have never thought of such a thing as i just wander and tend to come back when i get that want to be back home. but i beleive one thing i think is something everyone should see atlest once is the sunset up from the mountians where my grandmother lives. its quite lovely and again to be honest i never told anyone about the place but no ones ever asked me to tell them a place they must see."

Another stallion that came from a large family. It was wonderful that there was such a focus on finding and making families here. It reminded her of home, though the families she knew, including her own, were not usually as large as these.
Ears tipped forward attentively, she smiled at him. "It's always good to go home once in a while," she said. "And these seem like very safe lands to travel through. Oh, the mountains. My home is--was--in the mountains as well. I loved to watch the sun set and paint the land with all those colors, when I was younger. It was as pretty, I thought, to watch the sun come up as well."
She tilted her head. "Have far have you traveled as you wander?"
