Are you talking about doing a Turkish Drop?
If so, this is something that has to be taught in person, as this move leaves many opportunities for serious injury. To prep your body for this kind of thing, really work on your stomach, back, and thigh muscles. Build them quads up like crazy.
I want to say that there are a couple instructional videos out there that touch on the subject, but it's really best to learn with a teacher right there next to you. And practice on your bed or some other super soft surface.

one trick though is knee pads when you get there. some wear knee pads under their harem pants (girls here layer harem pants with skirts, then belts) and it helps a bit on the fall.
like itty said, its best with a teacher so you learn the best mechanics without injury.

I just recently learned to do a turkish drop a couple months ago!
Here's my wisdom.
Find someone to teach it to you in person. It's why you dont ever see any tutorials about it on youtube. (I looked)
My instructor recently advised me on it...and when she did she said... "Um...well I'll tell you...but I'm not responcible if you hurt yourself."
I was finaly able to do them after doing a series of streaches that both build muscle, and make them lean. THOSE I'll post for you! (They're from a work out series called Slim in 6.)
Streaches. 1. Lay flat on your back, and look at the ceiling. Raise your arms above your head and point your toes doing a full body streach. You can even intertwine your fingers while doing this. 2. From that position, bring your arms to your side, and bend either leg. The foot of the bent leg should be flat on the ground. Take your hand (Of the same side) and gently press the knee to the opposite side of your body. This is called a body twist, or a spinal twist. (FEELS SOOOO GOOD!) 3. Repeat with other side. 4. Bend both knees now. Lift one leg, and place your foot on the opposit knee. Reach through and around, and hold the thigh of the bent leg, gently pull twords your chest. (If you cant grab your leg, try grabbing the seams of your pants...I had to do this when I first started, you'll get the same streach effect with out hurting yourself.) 5. Repeat with other side.
Come into a sitting position.
6. Bend a leg to the side. Your heel should be around your thigh area. Lean back with the opposite elbow propping you up. With the arm on the same side as the bent leg, reach across your body. (If you cant lay all the way back on your elbow, it's fine to stay propped up.) 7. Repeat with other side. 8. Bend 1 knee and pull in like you're going to sit "indian style". Extend the other leg out. Reach your hands and try to touch your toes. (Again, if you cant, dont worry about it, streach as far as comfortable.) 9. Repeat with other side. 10. Bring both knees in, feet should be touching. Gently press down on your knees, "pressing them into the floor". (Again, dont push more then is comfortable!!)
After doing these for about a week, I was able to bend all the way to the floor.
I would seriously suggest making sure you can get into the position first by sitting on the ground with your butt between your feet and slowly going into the back bend...BEFORE you ever attempt to do the full out drop....EVEN with supervision.
You need strong enough ab muscles to be able to get yourself back up too...otherwise you'll end up flailing around...and that's not sexy.
As for the dropping onto the knees...I learned to do that in highschool through our color guard dances...and it can be quite painful. You dont actually drop on the knee it's self, you're supposed to land on your shin. My instructor said to practice on a bed. (Not the whole drop...just the onto the knees part!!) And wear kneepads for awhile...I've knee-dropped on everything from grass to hardwood floors.
Trust me on this...you do NOT want to risk a back injury. I've been suffering from one since I was 16. After doing a drop or two, I have to be seriously careful for about a week post-preformance. Find a good teacher.
