Fiach sighed as he brushed his shoulder length hair out of his face once again, grumbling to himself as he realized he had neglected to grab his hair tie when he left home as, yet again, Adalia was annoying him about his hiring of Luca. Rubbing at his tired face, he wondered if she was ever going to forgive him for that, or, at least, when she'd stop ruining his daily schedule just for the sake of getting back at him. With another sigh, Fiach pulled his chair out from the desk and plopped down into it, glad to have a place to sit and think for a moment after having to almost literally run away from his own home with his sister nattering at his back as he fled. Carefully leaning back, he crossed one leg over the other before turning the monitor on his computer on and flashing through his calendar of events for the day.
Only one appointment...good. Maybe I can sneak home afterwards without Adalia seeing and grab a few things...
A smile touched his face at the thought of him having to sneak into his own home and he absentmindedly tugged the sleeves to his shirt down once more to hide the scars that resided on the insides of his wrists. Though no one had ever really noticed them, he was always paranoid someone would, and that they would question them if they did. Bright blue eyes gazed towards the doorway as he pondered over what this new customer would be like, and if he could really pull of sneaking home and stealing some of his own things afterwards...

Maia was sore.
Sure, she was physically sore from lugging her computer tower in and out of the car, but she was also sore from just looking at the site of the building in front of her. It was a tall building, and definitely something that didn't fit her normal experience with "computer places." She was used small, dusty buildings that were placed in the back of a shopping center. The young woman shifted the computer tower on her hip and sighed. Hopefully this was the right place though. She had called numerous tech support lines after discovering that her entire MMORPG was gone from her computer. Her girlfriends had laughed and said that she'd be able to hang out with them more. Her guy friends had referred her here after she told them about a mysterious egg--an egg that she had first thought was some event item from said MMORPG.
She entered the building quietly, trying to focus on not dropping the computer on the shiny floor. Maia wasn't unhealthy or anything, but she definitely wasn't used to carrying a gaming computer case around. She grinned weakly at the man, about to ask if she could place the tower on the nearest surface she could see, but she ended up unceremoniously plopping it down.
"Ah, sorry!" she murmured in her mezzo-soprano. "Um... I have an appointment here. Is it with you?"
Nice hair, she thought as she studied Fiach. It was longer than her own chin-length bob.

Fiach was almost so lost in his planning of stealing home to nab some of his things, that he very nearly missed the entrance of a young lady carefully carrying a computer tower on her hip. At first, he was too shocked to do anything but stare - he hadn't quite expected the woman to be carrying the entire tower with her! - Fiach scrambled to his feet, only in time for her to plop the tower down on his counter. With a wince for the noise it made, and out of worry that it may have dented - or dirtied - the counter, he turned back to the woman with as polite a smile as he could muster, "Don't worry about it..."
A little lost for what to do after the unpleasant dropping of the tower, it took him a couple of beats before he managed a response to her question. His cheeks were colored a faint pink as he gave a soft nod, "Yes...my name is Fiach, I run this store." He shifted slightly from foot to foot as he caught her studying him, and became only more aware of the fact that he wasn't as presentable as he normally was. With his hair loose about his face, it was more nuisance than anything, and it was embarrassing to him that he hadn't taken the time to manage his personal appearance before appearing to work. Clearing his throat, he finally managed an awkward, "What seems to be the problem with your computer?"

Maia rubbed the back of her head with her now free hand, chagrined and slightly red, but maybe not so much as Fiach. She grinned as Fiach spoke once more, her natural color returning to her face--she was happy to talk about something else. The woman didn't disapprove at all of Fiach's appearance, and it was obvious by her now friendly, but controlled words. After all, this was a girl who could spend the majority of one day on Ventrilo and raiding on a computer game, and then the next day go shopping with her old friends from high school. She knew many different kinds of people.
"Well, after seeing an odd egg-like object on my monitor, I woke up one morning to find that an entire game was deleted from my hard drive. I did some research and I came up with something odd. A friend of mine told me I could actually transfer the egg onto something more portable..." she paused and managed another weak grin, "but I use my laptop for my college courses, and I didn't want anything else to go missing. Plus, I didn't know if my friend was kidding or not. It's sort of unbelievable, really.
"Maybe you have a monitor or something I can hook it up to? Oh, I'm Maia by the way." She patted the computer tower affectionately. It was a top-end gaming model, with a small screen on front to show the temperature and a sleek shell. And it had the software to match with its specs., which made Maia all the more worried.

Slowly finding himself becoming at ease, or, as much as Fiach could be at ease around a stranger, he gave a small, embarrassed smile att he grin she gave him. He still felt unsure of himself when he dealt with customers, and as she began to talk about an entire game going missing from her computer, he felt as though an empty pit was growing in his stomach. With the high quality computer tower the woman had, Fiach had no doubt that gaming was something precious to her and if her game had gone missing...
Resisting the urge to shudder at the thought of what might happen, how angry she might become, he found himself truly surprised when she merely patted the computer fondly and continued being pleasant to him. Nodding meekly, Fiach gave a small grin as he pointed around the shop to the many monitors present, "You can take your pick of where you'd like to hook it up." A small blush crept up onto his face as he realized he hadn't commented on her introduction and he added a slightly stuttered, "I-its nice to meet you...M-miss Maia." Though he wanted to slap his forehead at his own stupidity, he merely gave her a pleasant smile as he waited patiently for her to hook her computer up. Already Fiach had an idea as to what it was, just from when she'd mentioned an "egg-like object", but it was still good to be sure, if nothing else.
