Hogan's shop is also a center for activity. In this place, students can purchase all the supplies they need for their classes, as well as some that aren't mandatory. Hogan stocks candies of all different variaties, sodas, and snacks that students can bring back to school with them. He also stocks magazines and books. Hogan is a large man with a bristly beard slightly resembling Santa Clause. He usually knows every student by sight and sometimes stocks special items if he knows that someone is homesick for something in particular. His wife, Martha, also runs the store. She is a willowy woman with a sweet disposition.

Samyule let himself be drawn by Ella to the Traders, making sure to hold the door for her this time. He was instantly accosted with unusual smells, woody mixed with sugary. He could see the obvious variety that Hogan's offered, and pointed to where the school supplies were lined up neatly along one wall.
"I need a few notebooks and some pens. You?" He chose carefully, deciding on black books with the school's crest on them and plain black felt pens.

" Same as you, I just want to get some other things aswell." She chose supplies that were similar to his, though she included some mechanical pencils, green and silver pens that would write in the according ink, and an extra book for whenever the muse descended. On a whim, she added a chocolate bar and orange soda to the mix, non concerned about gaining weight.
" Me and my crazy metabolism." She mumbled, setting her things on the counter to be rung up.

Hogan cheerfully served them, wanting to add something sweet to Samyule's bunch.
Samyule refused, not having enough money for that and lunch later. "I'll come back again, Hogan, alright? Besides, I couldn't miss any of your wife's excellent looking cake." Martha giggled and waggled her finger at him, but he smiled warmly in response.
Turning to Ella for an explanation he said "I get an allowance from my sister...unfortunately I've already spent a good deal of it on those uniforms. Saved just enough for our lunch, though."

Ella smiled.
" I've still got plenty of cash, I would have payed for lunch. No trouble at all." She picked up the bags in both hands, and looked over at him.
" So, to the Minister and Cleric then?" She asked, smiling up at him. Yes up. She found it a bit funny that she was almost half his size in height, the top of her head coming to just below his chin.

He shook his head. "First time is my treat, you can treat next time." Hogan's wife was still watching them intently, though hogan had lost interested already. Winking at Martha he said loudly enough to hear: "After all, what kind of gentleman would I be if I couldn't treat a lady right?"
Her sigh of admiration was all he needed, and being sure to turn his back, he started laughing silently. Leading Ella out of the Traders, he burst out laughing in the street. "Let's get to the Inn before she decides to leave Hogan and Propose to me."

Ella laughed, hurrying down the road beside him.
" Who says she would? I just might!" She winked playfully at him, stopping outside the door to the Inn.

Sam walked into the store with Fern following close behind. They were both immensly excited to be getting candy. Oh and of course Sam really was planning on buying some pens and a new notebook for more songwriting. Perhaps she would write about her new friend Fern.

"Ooh, look at all of this!" Fern was excited about everything, it seemed, especially the candy. "My mum went loony as a coocoo when she found out I was coming here, so I don't need to buy anything..." As she talked, Fern looked at everything around her. There were displays for school supplies, but then the food began to appear in long, colorful stretches on the wall. "Except for some of that!" Her wings fluttered quickly, sending a very fine, sparkling dust into the air that shimmered in the sunlight.

Sam laughed, enjoying Fern's excitement. She too rushed over to the candy and food. She grabbed some candy then put it into a big brown paper bag and continued to collect more. One more good thing about coming from a rich family, her mother had given her a credit card, hoping Sam would transform into a miniature of her mother, but instead of using it for that evil, Sam used it to buy candy, notebooks, pens, soccer supplies, and more recently the newest ipod. When Sam was done taking just about all the candy in the store, she started looking at the things she had really come here for. She got 3 notebooks, 1 black, 1 purple, and 1 red and she got 10 pens, 3 purple, 3 black, 3 blue, and 1 red.

Fern went off to buy her sack of goodies, enjoying some small talk with Hogan who kindly showed her a special treat really only known to the fae.
"Dewdrops!" she exclaimed excitedly. "Ooh, those are lovely... I'll take three packets, please!" Her excitement made Hogan smile and give a hearty laugh. He did understand, though, that her love of sugar was a natural thing. To be able to turn small and fly was a task that required a lot of energy, and sugar was just that.

Sam watched Ferns wings flutter and shimmer in the dusty light coming in from the store windows. Realising she was staring, Sam turned to the checkout desk and started talking to Hogans wife. She actually seemed rather nice with her warm smile and rosy cheeks. Sam smiled, bought her items, and even ended up buying one of Martha's crumbly and moist cookies. It was delicious. She said goodbye to Martha and patiently waited for Fern.

"Where to next?" Fern chimed as she took her place by her new friend's side. "I've nothing to do at the moment..." Fern examined one of the candies she had bought before popping it in her mouth. While waiting for an answer, she offered a candy to Sam.

Sam took the candy, waiting to pop it into her mouth before saying, "I heard the inn has delicious food and the only thing I've eaten so far today is one of Martha's delicious cookies. Do you want to go get something to eat?"

"Of course. I could stand for a bit of biscuit... with jam! I wonder if they have jam?" Fern skipped a step before looking for the inn where they could enjoy themselves and get to know eachother.
