Father: Conley Clancy, 56 years old. The elder Mr. Clancy runs a small, but thriving family store (mainly sells broomsticks, quidditch supplies, etc). He was born in Cork, Ireland and attended Hogwarts, meeting his future wife at the school.
Mother: Annie Conley, 49 years old. Mrs. Conley is a stay-at-home mother. She met Conley Clancy during her years at Hogwarts and she was an outstanding student, she was even offered a job at the Ministry of Magic which she turned down. After marrying Mr. Conley, the two settled in Cork, Ireland and she gave birth to their one and only son, Tiernan.

Diving deeper : Describing Tiernan Clancy is a difficult task. He is an intelligent and cunning young man who always strives for the best. In some ways, he is the poster-boy for Hogwarts. Tiernan is well-liked by all of the professors and is well-known by the majority of the student population. He never quits and always give his best foot forward. Tiernan is popular and is not shy to meet new people. He is ambitious and many of his dreams include playing professional Quidditch for the Irish National team. As a matter of fact, Tiernan is first cousins with keeper, Barry Ryan, of the Irish National team.

However, like the majority of teenagers who must endure changes both physically and emotionally, Tiernan must overcome pressures from the people around him. His family has had a long history of Clancys who attended Hogwarts and hold prominent careers in the ministry. Both of Tiernan's parents would like to see their son move on to greater heights, possibly becoming head of the Ministry of Magic. But, Tiernan has his eyes set deeply on one goal: playing Quidditch for Ireland. Ah, yes, his thoughts of sporting the green and majestic gold uniform continue to haunt his dreams at night.

Taking a closer look : As the early morning light shined through the tall and elder trees on Hogwarts Ground, Tiernan stepped onto the Quidditch field. He breathed in the smell of fresh grass and morning dew as he mounted his broom. Before anyone could say another word, Tiernan was off in the sky. Inside the palm of his right hand laid the Golden Snitch, he opened his hand and the gold ball immediately flew away. Tiernan grinned and found himself on the trail of the Golden Snitch.
