 To the east of Hogwarts castle is a large, dark forest. This forest is strictly off limits to Hogwarts students, except in the course of occasional Care of Magical Creatures lessons or detentions. The forest is thick with trees, but there are paths, brooks, and some clearings. Off the path, the way is almost impassable. The forbidden forest is home to a wide and strange assortment of creatures. Anything wild and dangerous that needs a place to live is put there.

Bella was ecstatic as she glided over the lawn towards the Forbidden Forest. She had her arm hooked in Lucius', Kate on his other side. She looked at Lucius, nervous.
"What should I do? What if I ******** up!?" She always swore alot when she was nervous, or angry.

Lucius gave Bella his well know smile, charming his way into the pants of every girl at Hogwarts.
"Oh, Bella you'll be just fine, if your respectful. Call him 'My Lord', and make sure to..." He went on for a little while, talking about what to do, who was who, and the works. Kate stared at the ground, inner battle raging.
'You can't do anything. Bella would really kill you! And, anyway its already arranged. He doesn't like you! Even if he did, its not the pureblood thing to do.' Her inner voice told her, but from the back of her mind came another voice.
'You're not a pureblood, so whats it matter?' She frowned, telling the voice to shut up. But she knew it was true. What if she was found out? Her heart skipped a beat or two. Not in a good way.

Bella frowned, seeing Kate couldn't even look at Lucius. She rolled her eyes. She had no composure! Like him or not, she should be able to carry on as if nothing had happened. That was what they where raised to do! She sighed lightly, and Lucius seemed to think it was from nervousness.
"Bella, you have no need to worry!" He said to her, eyes sparkling with hidden mirth. He looked at Kate, a slight frown on his pretty face.
"Kate, you haven't said a word. Are you nervous?" He asked with a bright smile. He hugged her lightly and reassured her.

Kate blushed insanly. Her face became the color of scarlet, and the hairs on the back of her neck stood on end.
She admitted it, she hugged him back. But she hoped it would seem as if she was just trying to be polite...not just enjoying it.
Though she practically screaming in her mind.
"Y-Yes" she said, playing the naieve role. "I'm worried he wont like me. I mean...what if I'm not..", she trailed off, her eyes looking into his, "Oh Lucius!" she screamed, throwing her face into his chest, "What am I to do!"

Bella smiled, they where in the forest now, and it seemed like they where getting closer. She was shaking with excitement. And, it was a little chilly. She knew Kate was making excuses to get close to Lucius, but she also knew that she would never make a move. Bella was sure that Lucius liked Kate just as much as she did him, but not only was he now engaged, but Kate was worried (in a very un-Slytherin way) that he didn't like her and it would ruin their friendship. She rolled her eyes to herself.

It really took alot to cling to Lucius like that infront of Bella, seeing as she didn't want to end up like Lily, but she couldn't help it.
She was really scared about this 'meeting the Dark Lord thing' but, she figured she might be able to keep from screwing up.
Nontheless though, she still clung to Lucius like white on rice.

Bella could see a clearing, and squeezed Lucius' arm hard excited and strangely calm. She bit her lip, racking her finger nails gently across Lucius' arm. She was nearly jumping up and down as they entered the clearing.
Bella looked in awe at the most beautiful man she had ever seen. His features where handsome and sharp, his chestnut hair falling gently over one eye. He sat in a large carved chair, at the top of a circle of Slytherins, and two Ravenclaws. He was leaning back, his fingers steepled as he looked at the trio, his hungry eyes flashing from Bella to Kate.

Kate's eyes widened in fear, her hair falling over her face as she took a brief step back, only to be yanked forward by the still walking Lucius.
She could hear her heart pounding in her chest
Her knees shaking violently
Her eyes start to stare.
She clutched on to Lucius tighter than ever. She was incredibly intimidated, what with his intense aura and all.

Bella moved forward, her eyes locking with the Dark Lord's she dropped to the ground, kissing his robe.
"Rise." A lazy, icy voice told her. She did, staring at her Lord.
"Give me your arm, pretty little girl." He said, his eyes dark and his smile feral. She did, almost automatically and watched as the tip of this man's and touch her forearm. She almost screamed for the pain, a quick burning. When he released her, she looked at the dark skull and snake on her arm.
"I hear you can cast a Crucio, girl." She nodded.
"Yes, My Lord." She said quietly. He smiled, a dark grimace.
"Use it on your little friend there." He commanded. Bella turned to face Kate, raising her wand.

Kate subconsciouly let go of Lucius's arm and took steps back.
She looked at Bella with fear in her eyes and shook her head.
"Please Bella" she pleaded, "dont do this..."
While stepping away she tripped on a tree root and fell to the ground.
She backed away, her hands on the ground, and her beautiful dress damadged by the dirt.
Her eyes were pleading, and almost tearing.

Bella just sighed.
"Crucio." She said simply. She listened to Kate's screams for a whole minute then lifted the curse. turning to the Dark Lord, his eyes gleaming with approval.
"Very good, child. What is your name little girl?" He asked slowly, eyes moving from Kate to Bella and back again.
"Bellatrix, My Lord." She said strongly. She noticed Lucius had taken his place in the circle. He nodded slowly.
"Your one of us, Bella." He told her. Bella lit up.
"As for your friend...What can you offer me, child? Other than your fair looks?" He asked coldly.

Kate struggled to stand, her limbs still shaking from the pain.
"M-My Lord" she struggled to say. She heard her voice crack and winced at how horrible she must sound.
I never had anything going for me
She remembered Severus saying one night in the Common room.
That is, until I met him. I never thought that I could offer anything, much less be anything that would help him and his cause but...somehow, when I looked in his eyes...I said what needed to be said...
And survived...
Kate sighed and did not recall anything after that.
She briefly remembered looking him straight in the eyes with a serious expression plastered on her face. She faintly recalled saying things like "I am gifted in the art of Occlumency and Legillimens. My skills, though not lye in curses, are mostly in Potions of the most dangerous kind. I can offer you all the thoughts of those you find untrustworthy." Though she may have been a bit stern with her words, she felt she was becoming a whole new person with each word she spoke.
"I hate mudbloods and bloodtraitors alike. My heart lies within the screams of those I detest, the fear and terror evident in their eyes My Lord."
"I can offer you information, and interrogation"

The Dark Lord looked at Kate, hunger in his eyes.
Bella watched, amused.
"Come here girl. So young, only 16, maybe 17. But, not the youngest. Come to me." He called her close.
Bella knew that Kate would work two jobs then. The hunger in her new Lord's eyes, she knew it. Carnal lust. She would spy, Bella knew she could, and she would serve his more...animalistic needs.

Kate blushed and finally felt the feeling in her legs again as she walked closer to him.
She knew it was a bad idea to look him in the eyes, but she couldn't look at the ground, she didn't want to be seen as a weakling.
When she reached 2 feet before him she lowered her head and curtsied politely.
Her hood fell off, revealing her long blonde hair. Her hair fell in an elegant curtain the draped around her shoulders.
"Yes My Lord" she whispered, wondering what was going to become of her.
