I like Edward and I hope he and Bella do work out (which is quite obvious it will, unless Meyer kills off one of them) but if I were in that position I think I would choose Jacob over him. Why? Because while immortality sounds fantastic *adds a snippet of sarcasm* I like the idea of growing old with someone you love watching your children grow up then see their children grow up. And forever is a very long time. Which of them would you pick? and why?

It's a tough decision..
I think I would stay with Edward.
But I'm not sure I'd be able to give up my friendship with Jacob. He was there for her when Edward left, and he loves her as much as Edward does.
I don't know. I think she'll stay with Edward.
Besides, Bella and Jacob doesn't really roll off the tongue like Bella and Edward does.

I would choose Jacob. I need a guy that ca make me laugh and isn't too controlling. How many times has Edward actually cracked a joke in the books? Three, maybe, tops. And Jacob is more willing to just let you do what you want and be there to protect you. Edward is more "That is dangerous, you can't do it."

I would choose Jacob.
However my friend and I have an insane grudge against Bella for just being too ditzy so we think she should end up with Edward just because we believe he is the worst choice.
Edward's a bad choice in my opinion because in the first book he stalks her. He watches her sleep through her window. He's too controlling. He keeps secrets. And just much more.

You know, I never thought twice about that or even consider that he stalked her but you're right! That's so funny! And Edward is too controlling and protective for me. I couldn't be who I am if I had someone constantly watching over my back telling me if something is too dangerous, and that he doesn't want me to do something or hang out with someone. I'd laugh in the face of anyone who tried to stop me.

I couldn't be who I am if I had someone constantly watching over my back telling me if something is too dangerous, and that he doesn't want me to do something or hang out with someone. I'd laugh in the face of anyone who tried to stop me. Thank you. Everyone I know looks at me like I am crazy when I say I would rather have a boyfriend like Jacob than Edward.

I don't know who I'd pick. I like Edward but as you guys mentioned above he can be overbearingly protective and uncompromising at times. Jacob on the other hand would let you be free and wouldn't try to protect you for 'you own good'. I would so at the very least be friends with Jacob, but Edward is more responsible. I think they both care for Bella in their own way but I think Edward would be a slightly better choice just because he is more responsible and he can compromise and have fun. You just have to understand that Edward likes to over think everything.

I think they should be mature enough to get over the fact that one of them is a vampire and one is a werewolf and find a solution that includes both of them. I don't get why bella can't still be friends with jacb after she's a vampire. If jacob really loved bella that much, he would be able to live with the supposed smell.

I really agree with all of that. It's just...Jacob is so much healthier for her, but I adore Edward even though he's so controlling and all. But Bella and Jacob really match.
