 Pokemon Parody
Deadline: Thursday, July 31 @ Midnight PST
 This is a free story response, meaning you are not restricted to a prompt and free to let your imagination roam! What you need to do is come up with a parody that uses both Pokemon AND Isle of Andvari in some way. Your story can take place in either or both worlds, and you can use more elements from one than the other. As always, we’re looking at creativity and originality as well as organization and structure, but it’s really more about how well you can incorporate the two ideas together in a unique parody. So just have fun with it!
Rules
1. Only one story per person.
2. Your story can only be a maximum of 5,000 words.
Restrictions
1. You are only allowed to receive a total of ONE Fafner from all the Contests.
2. If you win more than one Contest, you can choose which Pokemon you want.
3. You can give the Fafner you win to someone else, but ONLY to someone who participated in the same Contest that you won the Fafner from.

Response:mine is set in the Isle of Andvari, the trainers are like team rocket or any of the sort, there plan is to control all and what not. Parody has been running from them for some time but they keep coming. and yes i read humans dont exist but this isnt fully there world its a mix xD i thought it fit Quote: Staraptor = Parody ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “What exactly is it you’re hoping for?” Parody sighed then looked at his adopted nest brother. His wings twitched with his agitation. “Simple, find out where those so called trainers are and warn us.” “Oh you mean get caught first.” He rustled his wings and took a step back. It was clear he was no longer welcome here. The others called him the curse that had brought these “trainers” to their home land. There had never been anything like these humans using balls to control those they caught. They had been after him for an age now that’s how he first found this area. Now they were coming… From the rumors and talk it was nothing but his fault. He understood what they wanted, they wanted him gone. But he knew these people and the odds that they even knew he was gone were, slim to none. “I will not flee and leave you all to them.” He stomped his foot his wings throwing up dust and branches. He would have to find another way to stop them. He turned taking a leap into the air circling hoping maybe the cool air was help enough. He knew what was coming he had to fight, but they used those they captured as tools of war. He was different from most of the Fafner where they lacked wings he did not. He was able to see what they could not and was able to just easily leave those trainers. But over the time he was bonded with those fafner he loved them like his family. He cursed the trainers, they didn’t have a right to disturb them. He hovered for a moment looking at the forest, maybe that was it, he would make a stand in the woods that bordered his new home. And either he would drive those men away or be caught. “I plan to drive them off.” He sat in front of the majors of his village and looked at them, so far his idea was of no purpose to them. “Drive them off from what all they want is you…” A gruff voice came as Aleir stepped forward his graying face looking harsher then ever. “I do not believe they will just stop sir.” The last part was sarcastic but he hid it from his voice. It had taken him many a try to get that trick right. “They will not stop they will come through here like they have everyone of those captures homelands. Our only choice is to fight back..” He was getting agitated they were so many yet so dumb. “I will help,” A smaller green male stepped from the crowd, “I believe they will continue even if you’re gone. We live here, we have the hope and knowledge of the woods.” Only 10 decided to help but that was even more then he had expected. The plan was simple little traps meant to contain them rather then harm them. And so they waited…… The first day they breeched the woods they were driven off, Parody was thrilled maybe his plan would work and his family would be safe. The second time didn’t go as well they came even stronger then the last breaking through many of the traps even taking some of the defenders. This went on till he was the last, he faced them down his wing spread, “I WILL NOT LET YOU HARM MY FAMILY.” He was tired, weak but he couldn’t give up. He closed his eyes expecting the end instead what met his ears was the war cry of his family as suddenly they burst out of no where, driving those near him off first not stopping till they were long gone. “Parody were sorry.” He looked at them and smiled, “it doesn’t matter what the past is, the only thing that matters is you came.” 650

Response: Bella looked out over the water. It seemed so blue and sparkly in the bight weather of this day. But something odd was about to happen to Bella, she was going to a place where no human, or real Pokémon will have gone before, the Isle of Andavari… Guess that’s what happens when you watch too many S. King based movies and sleep too much and, you know, attempt to catch Palkia…
The white motor boat sped over the water, jumping slightly over the waves in front of it. Bella’s Chikorita looked over Bella’s shoulder and her Zangoose sat calmly on the floor beside her. Bella had finally seen land, she shouted a small ‘woo!’
She had lost hr map overboard and hadn’t seen land for a few days, and she was joyous that she finally had. Bella and her two Pokémon watched closely as they drew close to the island. But soon notices, there seemed to be no docks for the boat and no civilization along the sea, which struck her as an oddity.
‘Shhhh’ was the noise as the boat crept a bit up into the sandy beach. Bella jumped off the boat with her Chikorita and Zangoose following behind. The three started to slowly push and pull the boat up the beach where hopefully a tide wouldn’t come in.
Bella looked onto the plain that lay in front of her, she saw no Pokémon that usually frolicked near the water or in the plains, she lowly wondered where everything is, or where she was?
She looked at the bag at her side, slightly damp from the sprays of water the boat had taken and reached in shoveling items around to look for her compass. When she felt it’s cool metal touching her finger tips she gabbed it, the coldness enveloping her hand and brought it out o the gray bag and looked a the symbols on it that labeled N, E, S, W, but the arrow pointed to none for a very long time, it soon didn’t stop at all and just went around, and around, and around. She tapped the lid separating her from the letters an line that was supposed to direct her north, she then tapped it again, but nothing happened but a small spinning line.
‘Well… This isn’t too helpful is it?’ Bella said looking at her two Pokémon, they both nodded an looked forward.
‘Well, let’s get walking!’ She said, getting hyped up for some actual walking.
Well, let’s just sat two hours into walking that Bella had almost collapsed from boredom and just being tired. He soon sat in the tall grass. She had only seen small bugs that she had never seen before and grass… Her two Pokémon had wanted to go in there pokeballs an hour ago so she had been walking alone now for awhile.
‘Crunch’ Some dry grass sounded as something close in here to Bella where she had slowly laid out a sleeping bag an made a fire. She turned her head as the sound passed her, soon something appeared vey faint in the grass, something white, but soon vanished.
She heard another crack and she looked behind, soon appearing from behind the long grass was a creature with a bright green mane and spots that looked like flowers. Bella ripped out her Pokedex and aimed for it.
‘Sorry, there is no Pokémon’ It chimed
Bella looked confused at the animal when it soon began to speak to her. Bella’s mouth dropped open.
‘My name is Akeyon, It’s nice to meet you’ He said happily. Bella looked again, rubbed her eyes, and then looked again.
‘What in the world?’ She asked herself.
‘I should probably asking the same thing, miss?’
After a very long discussion between the two they soon found out that Bella was human, and indeed a miss, while Akeyon was a Fafner, nothing to do with these things called Pokémon, she also found out many other things about the nature of this isle.
Soon Akeyon looked over to Bella.
‘Will you promise that you will not tell anyone because it might be a disaster if you do?’ He asked. Bella nodded, who wondered what these thing could do to you?
‘You can sleep the night then and I suggest you flee by morning’ He said.
Bella looked around, she wanted to explore his isle vey badly but…
Her Chikorita soon popped out of it’s ball feeling un-conformant from it’s owner. It raised its leaf blade at the animal in front and almost let loose with an attack but Bella stopped just in time to save poor Akeyon.
Bella soon after discussing some more things with Akeyon fell asleep holding her Chikorita in her arms. By morning she awoke and found herself thinking if that animal had appeared because it was no longer there in the moonlight, sparkling just right.
‘Let’s go, he said to leave by morning.’ Bella sang to her Chikorita. It looked oddly at her like she was confused about what had happened. They soon made the long trip back to there boat and thinking took a shot of the land with a camera in her bag.
Over sea, she somehow found her was back to another land, filled with normal people, with Pokémon and she rushed to get the photo developed, no she wouldn’t show it to anyone she just wanted it before she lost the camera. When she got the roll back she noticed that was one more then had been taken, she looked at it, White with blue and green flowers was a pattern on the camera’s picture.
Soon after the girl had fallen asleep Akeyon had run into the forest with the Chikorita and showed her off to a few others he knew that wouldn’t be completely turned of by him. They were amazed, but whoever they told no one believed them, or it had come from Akeyon’s mouth, for he couldn’t truly be trusted, but soon, maybe they would believe him as soon oddly colored, winged and shaped Fafners stared to appear, one even resembling the small Chikorita…

I’ll be writing this story using two of the Poke-Fafners I’ve won thusfar. I hope that’s okay. ^^ Zairis = Smeargle | Tsuki = Clefairy
Zairis gazed at the sky, squinted for a moment, and then smiled as he spotted what he was looking for. “There, Tsuki – can you see it?” he asked patiently, pointing one paw towards a constellation. “The three stars all in a row right there make up Orion’s belt.”
The little pink Fafner seated beside Zairis on the beach followed his gesture to the correct spot in the sky. After a moment, her face lit up with joy, and he could tell she’d found it, too. “Yes! There it is, just like you said! Zyzy, you’re the best ‘sitter ever!” She snuggled up against his soft fur and sighed contentedly.
The elder Fafner looked happily at his charge for the night. Normally he didn’t like to watch others’ offspring, but young Tsuki was no hassle for him at all. She was well-behaved enough to take her on short walks without needing to worry she’d run off. That, surely, was better than staying cooped up at home.
“Show me another one, Zyzy! Please?” begged Tsuki, temporarily taking her face out from being buried in his fur in order to look at him sweetly.
He just couldn’t resist this kid. “Alright, but just one more, and then it’s time to go home. Your parents should be home soon.” He paused momentarily, then shifted his sights back towards the heavens. “Now, take a look to your left, Tsuki. Do you see where… oh my, what is that?”
It was hard to miss the phenomenon Zairis had just noticed. The Fafner’s mouth hung open still as he tried to figure out what it was, and what should be done about it.
“It’s pretty, Zyzy! And it’s pink, too, just like me!” giggled the little one. “I just can’t take my eyes off it!”
“It is quite nice,” responded Zairis finally, getting to his feet and starting to walk back towards town, “but I think maybe we should go back inside now. I don’t know what it is, and it seems to be heading close- Tsuki?”
She’d only been out of his sight for a moment, but that was all it took. When he turned back to her, she was surrounded in the strange pink glow from the sky; and in another moment, the flash of rose light had stolen her away into the sky and disappeared completely.
“NO! No, this can’t be happening!” he yelled at the sky. “Give her back, whatever you are!”
Zairis continued to scream upwards until his throat felt hoarse, and finally tears welled up in his eyes. But through the blurred vision, he could see the pink light in the sky once more coming towards the earth.
“Are you coming for me, too, you cruel beast?” he called, willing energy into his body. “Tsuki meant the world to me, even if she isn’t my own kin… so I’ll be only too glad to follow where you’ve taken her!” And with a mighty lunge and a fierce growl, he leapt at the light and met it in the air.

“Go Smeargle!” a voice rang out from somewhere behind him as the bewildered Zairis found himself landing on completely different ground than the sandy beach he’d left. What the heck is going on?
He took stock of his new surroundings at once, first looking towards his back where the voice had come from: trees, mainly, and two strange two-legged creatures. One of them must be what spoke, thought Zairis.
Just as he was about to turn to see what lay before him, a familiar voice called his name – sort of. “Zyzy! It’s you!”
And there she was! Right there in front of him was Tsuki, running gleefully towards him. “I was so scared, and I didn’t want to leave you, but I couldn’t get away!” She reached him and immediately nuzzled against him as she had only minutes before on the beach. The elder Fafner’s body calmed immediately as he wrapped up the pink one in a tight grasp.
Behind them, the odd creatures were talking to each other, though neither Fafner was paying any attention. “I told you they got along perfectly, Sammy – just look at ‘em! Thanks again for trading with me. It was a good idea you had, and I think Smeargle will be a lot happier with a friend close by.”

Response: One day in a Team Rocket labratory..."I've done it! I've done it at last!" cackled one of Team Rockets many mad scientists, "I've created a portal to another world! Now just to test it out..." The scientist rubbed his hands greedily then pulled from a nearby cage a fluttering, miserable Starly. "In you go!" With that, the scientist tossed the bird pokemon through the portal. Meanwhile, back in one of the many fields under command of the Attila Clan...Kazan hummed as he skipped through the grass, following a little ways behind Raziel, when an orange portal opened up in front of him, and out popped the Starly. "Star?" it asked. "Raziel, Raziel! Come here, come here! Look at this weird bird! It came out of nowhere!" By now Kazan was just hopping around the confused bird. "Whaaat???" came Raziel's irritated reply as he grumpily turned around and walked over. The two fafners had recently got ahold of a honey covered piece of honey comb, which Kazan got the most of, and since then the cheese colored fafner has been in one of his most hyper and aggravating moods. The moment Raziel laid eyes on the pokemon, a completely different line of thoughts came into his head. Where Kazan was trying to figure out how to make friends with it, Raziel was figuring out all the schemes he could use to make profit from it. As the fafners thought, the Starly regained its bearings and began chirping and fluttering about furiously. Due to his life-style, his wings were clipped so he could not fly. But he did not care. He did not even care if the odd creatures around him were going to eat him. He was just so happy. After all those years in a cage, he was finally free. All this noise broke the fafners from their reveries, and they shouted simultaneously, "Wait!" "Come back!" and chased the Starly. They caught up easily; their natural speed and the Starly's unused legs made it no challenge at all. Raziel pounced the bird and asked, "So, can you speak or are just a stupid, freakish bird?" "Star! Star! Starlyyy!" the pokemon wailed. A look had come over Raziel's face that Kazan recognized as his 'evil mastermind' face, and warned, "Be nice Raziel." "Oh, I will." The raccoon's expression instantly changed to a look of complete innocence. "Um, well, ok... If you say so..." Kazan did not really believe him, but was going to give him a chance anyway. Raziel got up, freeing the once again nervous Starly, and told it sweetly, "Stupid, perfect. And it seems you can't fly. Kazan, watch him, I'm going to go get some stuff." With that, he ran off to go strike some deals with other fafners and profit off the weirdo creature. When Raziel was a good ways away, Kazan looked down at the Starly and blinked. It blinked back. Kazan blinked again. This blinking game went on for a good while before Kazan suddenly burst out, "I love you! You are adorable! You're name is Star, and you'll be my Star!" 4laugh This was very confusing behavior to 'Star' and he just blinked at Kazan and tilted his head. "Star?" "Yes, Star! That's your name!" Kazan skipped around Star, very very happy. He managed to find some games for them to both play, and Star genuinely began to like Kazan. When Raziel returned, crowd of about seven other fafners were following him and a hefty basket of food hung from his tail. He looked very satisfied with himself. After dropping off the food a little ways away, he sat down on the other side of Star and announced, "This," He gestured to Star, "is the mystery animal I have discovered and told you all about. It cannot fly, and it can say but two words. 'Star'. And 'Starly'. Please, feel free to come and examine it. This is not a hoax." All of the attending fafners crowded around and prodded at him. All of this attention left Star feeling more uncomfortable than adored. It reminded him of his old life. He jumped, flapping his wings, and yelped, "Starly!" when he was poked in an odd place. Yes, he did not like this at all. During all of this, Kazan just kind of sat off to the side, not drawing any attention to himself. He knew better than to interfere during one of Raziel's schemes. When all the fafners were satisfied, they congratulated Raziel then left. "I'll be showing it again tomorrow! Tell your friends!" he shouted to their retreating forms. When they were well and gone, he went to check up on his spoils. Kazan followed Raziel, and Star followed him. "It's name is Star." Kazan informed Raziel as he also sniffed out the goodies. "Did you think up that name?" Raziel replied with a mouth full of rat meat. "Yes!" Kazan munched on a strawberry. "Good, now we can call it something. Where did you find the thing anyway?" Star investigated the contents of the basket and stuck his beak on a blueberry. Both fafners laughed. " Star came out of a portal~" Kazan really was good company when he was calm. Plus, he never lied. "A portal eh? Freaky." That was the end of the conversation and the two fafners and pokemon ate to their hearts content before curling up together and falling asleep. The next day, they relaxed and played for the most part, still having a good amount of food, before Raziel left to go repeat the freak show he had performed yesterday. This time, more fafners had come. Twelve, in fact. The basket he carried with him was much fuller. Raziel repeated the speech of yesterday, with the added addition of, "My dear friend, Kazan, has named it Star, for what it says." In the midst of the fafner's inspection of Star, another orange portal opened from which the scientist that sent him there stepped out of. They were all shocked, and just stared at each other for several moments. But then, many things happened at once. The spectating fafners began to inspect the scientist. Raziel tried to make him seem part of the show. The scientist dived for Star. Kazan dived in his path. Star tried to flee. Unfortunately, Kazan's attempt at protection only staled the scientist for a moment and Star was soon caught. "What a crazy world!" was all the scientist said before fleeing back into the portal. Silence invaded the moment the portal closed. But then the guest fafners cheered. They loved it. Raziel fended off the questions they asked as they left. "No, sorry , this was the last show. A magician never tells his secrets. I'm glad you had fun. Goodbye." Raziel heaved a sigh of relief when they were gone. "Finally. That was the weirdest thing I ever saw." Kazan replied, "Yeah... I'm gonna miss Star..." Raziel curled up round his basket. "Me too..." Two days after the scientist's return to the Pokeworld...The place was under lockdown. All the members were getting arrested, and the pokemon freed. It was all thanks to one obnoxious hero and one of the imprisoned Starlys, who was now under special protection to be forever free.
