Some people are an example of what it means to RP well. They breathe life into the world we create, building a game which grips the player and a story which feels real to the reader. When such players retire from the game, we give them our deepest gratitude and present them with the highest honor the Mishaps have to offer.
We kill them.
Well, not really. It's just that in the entire history of Mishap Mercenaries, only two people have told anyone that they were leaving when they did it. In both cases, the player's character was killed when they left (with permission). The rest who leave simply disappear, never to be heard from again. The two players are listed below.
Killed In Action
"Suntzu" Eva (hm103)
Eva served as a Captain for about 180 pages, almost since page 1. Her memorable character defined the thread while she was present, and she has been an inspiration to RP writers. Eva was killed by a demon-person-thing, which was then permanently immobilized in the Simulation Room.
"Sickle" Kyle Brown (cloxxs)
While disliked by some, Kyle started the first major mission of Mishap Mercenaries. The mission was a hilarious failure. Kyle was later possessed by the spirit of his father, and he died at the hands of his teammates.
