Hey, I just thought about this and was wondering if anyone thought the scenario was possible for the next book. The reason Tanya's group didn't help with the newborns is because the Cullens would not let them kill the werewolves. So I was thinking that it might be possible that the second the Cullens leave Forks, Tanya's group will move in and try to gain their revenge for the werewolves killing Laurence. Does anyone think that there is a possibility that this will happen in the upcoming book?

That's a good idea! Although, I didn't think that all of the Cullens were leaving at once. Even so, they might be put into a position where they have to leave.

I don't think that's going to happen solely for the reason that if all the Cullens leave Forks, then the story would follow them wherever they chose to reside next. After all, the focus is on Bella and Edward. It's a little hard to explain my rationale... ^_^;;

I don't think that anyone in Denali was that attatched to Laurent. How would they know what happened to him without understandably hearing the entire story of what happened, in which case they should NOT be mad at the werewolves.
I don't think all of the Cullens will leave, just Edward and Bella.

You know, I think that Ushio-dono is right. After all, the Denali clan would only agree to help the Cullens if they could break the treaty with the werewolves which Carlisle wouldn't allow. If the Denali clan was that attached, they would have pursued the issue alot more aggressively. After all, it wasn't just because Laurent was in the wrong place at the wrong time as a vampire against a pack of werewolves. He was planning to kill Bella.

I don't think so, I think when they come down for the wedding, they will meet with the wolves and something will happen, most likely they will apologize and explain that he was trying to kill on their turff. Though I kinda wonder if once Bella is a vampire if she will go hunt down Jacob and make him come home.

Good thoughts though

I think the reason they didn't attack is because they didn't want the Cullens to be forced into the war and get hurt as a result of thier attack. I also think that knowing the Cullens had a treaty with the werewolves, they were afraid that the Cullens would help the wolves.

If Tanya has any major part to play in Breaking Dawn, I think it will be more of Tanya vs. Bella.
And you have to remember, most vampires are loners. I just don't think that they would get that worked up about Laurent getting killed. I mean, they are "vegetarians" and Laurent broke their rules by hunting humans. They should be angry at him if he was sincere in joining them. If he wasn't sincere, then they wouldn't have cared so much.
I think the topic will come up, but it won't be much more than simple discussion.
Though, of course, Bella is a magnet for trouble, so anything's possible. wink

Even though I haven't read the first chapter of Breaking Dawn (I don't like to spoil it for myself when the book actually comes out), I'm pretty sure Jacob isn't gone for that long of a period of time. He has his pack, which he is responsible to. I don't think he would just shirk that responsibility.

Regardless, I'm such an Edward fan that I could care less about Jacob. My rational thinking leads me to believe that once Bella becomes a vampire, she's not going to go to such great lengths for Jacob.

i don't think so, i think after they teamed up to fight the voltouri, tanya and her family won't bother the wearwolfs.
