Yeah they are. But I would like to see what would happen if Xellos and Filia were to be stuck in the same house. I'd sit in the back getting the bets in on how long it would take for the house to be demolished.

I spit on any paring other then Filia/Xellos. YinYang thing going on there. -^.^- ~sigh~ I've written well over 20 stories on them and a few are quite believable. heart
Edit: Well, I don't spit on Amelia/Zelgadis, or Gourry/Lina, but you catch my drift. domokun

Yes I'm sure the house'd be demolished 3nodding Actually, it probably wouldn't be. 3nodding Think of the facters. On Filia's side: One, at first she did story a few towns when Xellos ticked her off, crush a few walls, and break down things. But, you can tell as TRY progresses her reactions gets less and less violent. And, when she does whip out ol' mace-sama she doesn't crush random items, and is better at aiming. In the end, she doesn't blow up at all, mearly goes 'hmph!'. Two, it is a common known fact that having a child calms people down. Val would surly affect her, at least somewhat. On Xellos: One, he didn't provoke her at first, but once she insulted Zelas, and called her the wrong Dark Lord even, he got really nasty. As her reactions lessened, he tired a bit of teasing her. You can tell because he avoided her moreso then interacted. But, in the end he had to interact with her, so he toned it down. Two, while it is fun watching her transform and distroy a town, a high mazoku like himself shouldn't have to stoop to ticking someone off to get them to do as he pleases. Both seem to have come to a truce anyway, a least one of them would honor it for a bit. Like a week or something.

I don't see how they complete each other. At all. o_O I basically spit on any pairing with Xelloss other than X/F, too. So I guess that makes me biased, but whatever. We all know that Xelloss is doomed (or, in his viewpoint, blessed) to never fall in love anyway! X3

It does look to be that way. Ok, so they may just tolerate the other. Well, Filia doing the tolerating, Xellos just lounging around making a coment every so often.

Probably a comment slightly insulting to her, or her race. And, if he was in her home, she'd probably put up some anti-mazoku barriers, like those around the last Weapon of Light. He'd break through them. But, it might just be possible to ward him off with one of those, ya know? I mean, he couldn't, seemingly, break the ones around said weapon. She did, meaning she knew the complexity of them meaning she could put them up as well. domokun

Knowing isn't enough. As it was, non of them could break the last barrier. It had to take a tremendose amount of power to do so.
Something Filia didn't have. And neither did Xellos. He needed Filia to cast at him so he could combine it with his own to have the power.

I never got to see that part but I'm actually quite fond of the Xelloss/Zelgadis pairing. It was in one of the first Slayers fanfics that I read.

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELL I have two sides to this. Normally I would say
NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! XELLOSS CAN'T LOVE! HE'S A MAZOKU! HE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A GENDER!! scream
But recently my friend and I have been rping a HIGH SCHOOL rp where Xel is HUMAN and to tell the truth, as a human, Xel and Lina make a cute couple. heart ONLY AS A HUMAN!! Otherwise I HATE Xel pairings.

Zelgadis on the Couch. I never finished it but Eugene's art is wonderful ^^
