Episode summary.
The teens take a camping trip outside of an old saw mill. As they climb up to the top they see a shooting star that comes careening toward them. The "shooting star" crashes into the lake and turns out to be a big robot. The guys attack it, and when it is defeated, they find a blue-skinned alien woman inside.
The next morning Raphael and Michelangelo are sparring, and a push from Raph causes Mike to fall into her. The woman is Jannu (I'm not totally sure on this one) and she is from a planet, and she has been elected to face the current ruler of her people.
Meanwhile, Casey is trying to get April to like him. He talks to Splinter about how he can impress her.
Maraia (Again, not sure on names), the ruler of Jannu's people lands and the two continue their fight. Although, Maraia comes with some monsters. The turtles help take them down, and when that is done, Jannu and Maraia fight. Jannu is the victor and after a night's rest, she must go home. She thanks Donatello and gives him some locks of her hair as a present for when he wakes up.
Casey expresses his feelings for April.
Then, the two come to get the turtles. Donatello stays back for a few moments to look up at the sky, and then carefully tucks away his present before they all head abck.
___________
I more or less liked the episode. The changes in art syle from the comic were understandable, as the two women just looked like regular Earth women. Fights were pretty good, but whate really bothered me was Jannu's voice. She was one of those super annoying stock 4Kids voices. >_< I never liked her in any of the other shows, and this is no exception.
I also sort of liked the Casey/April subplot, although Ic oulda sworn that was a kiss at the beginning of the episode. So, like wha?
Also, angsty Leo almost seems a bit overdone.... I think there're more subtle ways of doing it as opposed to having Leo flip out on a giant robot.

For the record you CAN kiss somebody without necessarily really REALLY liking them, so while I thought it was kind of dumb that they kissed and then he was all nervous about telling her how he felt it did make sense. People are just dumb that's all. (I know I've kissed a guy and later felt nervous because I wasn't sure he knew how I felt.) Aaaand seeing as how I'm a big ole Casey/April fan that part made me squee, as did Splinter's "advice". Hee... flowers.
And before I dare say anything serious WTF are their weapons made out of?! I mean honestly, shouldn't they have broken a million times by now? It's been decided that Leo apparently has Ginsu katanas and Don's staff is titanium painted to look like wood.
I'm REALLY looking forward to Leo getting back to normal, or at least close to it. Unfortunately we know already that there's at least 3 more episodes with this new and unimproved Leonardo in it, probably more. stare Now I always enjoy seeing that point when a character is pushed to the most extreme point and they lose it, especially characters that are normally calm. However having Leo turn into some Raphael minus the humor thing for so long is just... yeah me no likey. A couple episodes fine but this is going to get old.
I am really looking forward to seeing it resolved though.

YEs... that was my response to the mech fight.
I wish I had a sword capable of shredding an alien metal in two!

Did anybody catch the little Flash-style toon they had during Tokyo Mew Mew and G.I. Joe? That was hilarious... poor Mikey...
Is that Raptarr (from Series 4) in next week's ep? Sure looked like him! I'm hoping for an episode with Radical & Complete Carnage this season.

I have to admit when I saw the preview for the next episode I groaned. But y'know... if they want to go flying around all silly like then who am I to stop them?
Oh and since this is my first time hearing the new theme I gotta say that I don't like it. I wasn't a fan of the one before it and I like this one even less. Blegh.

I think I sort of agree. The character descriptions don't really fit the song...and Mikey's "We shredder Shredder!" is annoying. But, I like the new visual additions. Just...not the vocal ones.
I'm also scared for next week's episode. sad Why are they in those stupid toy outfits?!

Yeah, my little brother bought one of those flying ones...
And I wanted to punt it across the backyard. =/ And now it's on TV so it makes me sadder.

In a way I guess I'm glad that at least the crap that they're marketing is tied in to the show somehow. I mean I hate seeing toys that are so totally off the wall and have nothing to do with what they're from. (Such as the various sports related Spiderman figures I've seen. WTF?!)
I don't buy into the marketing though. I have a basic Leo figure and I may get the... I dunno, ninja one or whatever (the one that moves) and the mutating one. I don't need to have him in Knight gear, or riding a scooter or [insert a million other toys here].

Yaeh, that much is true. It's either I'm glad it's tied into the show somehow or, oh no they're usign the show as a marketing ploy now?! I'm not sure which I feel yet.
And I totally agree, I'm fine with my regular ol' Ninja Turtles.
