I hate to say the GW word but... Its hard to ignore these days.
I don't know; while humans definitely have contributed to a faster global warming affect, the world has been in a global warming for thousands of years (after all, Nebraska was once covered in ice, then submerged under water.. as the theory goes). But its all theoretical anyway. Don't get me wrong, I strongly consider it to be a factor in things.
I wonder if its because humans have overpopulated the earth. Studies in Omaha, Nebraska and the snow patterns have lead people to believe its not the vehicles we drive or whatnot that has caused the change, but the intense landscape changing that happened. We have so many suburbs that took out trees, fields, crops and even
hills that it could possibly be affecting the weather. I must say, that the only tornadoes that have actually touched down were in the biggest Omaha suburb, which when I was a child, was nothing but a church, and a ton of cornfields. Then, the earth is so close to completing a full wobble on its axis that the slight climate changes may be related to this. We've also had years that the weather was significantly worse than usual.. plus we've had the usual amount of snow this past winter, although we've had more rain that usual..
Its all very interesting, I wish I was more scientifically inclined so I could study and understand the theories and have a stronger opinion one way or another.. I just assume all theories are possible
