Rock field
Tremors rippled forth from center-field as the basic floor shifted to a rock and dirt field, rock towers jutted forth from the ground to offer a place of escape or an attack advantage. The breeze from the stadium air conditioners stirred the loose sand on the field, this creates a mini sandstorm that could possibly blind those who were battling.

Kayla walked up towards the platform as the battle field was shifted from the original one to this rock field. It didn't matter to her what field they battled on as long as it didn't give the opponent the advantage.
When the field clicked into place, the sand and dirt from the field started to fly around with the air condition currents, making it difficult to see.
After attempting to look around at the new playing field, Kayla squinted a bit to see the other trainer at the other end. She smiled.
"I guess we are about ready to start, eh?" Kayla stated, loud enough to be heard from the opposite side.

Ugh, damn mareep and her eagerness to battle, she thought as she took her spot on her platform. It wouldn't be so bad if she didn't wake me up early for it to find some battle listings..
Kailana stood with her hands rested nonchalantly behind her head, giving a small yawn as she started to look across today's field. Rock, huh? I know it worked pretty well for Isamu, but I wonder if Abyss..
She quirked a brow as she heard the other trainer shout towards her. "Start? Oh yes, of course we're ready," she replied as the small sandstorm died down, letting her see her opponent.
Abyss was already below, happily perched on a stone pillar, ready and raring for a fight. She gave a few tosses of her head and pawed her hooves on the stone, her fluff already beginning to spark.

When the sandstorm died down a bit, Kayla noticed the mareep pawing the ground, ready to go.
I guess she is ready. Kayla smiled as she reached behind her to gave one of her pokeballs. Last time Quin didn't do so well in battle but maybe this time we can redeem ourselves.
"Alright, Quin! Let's get to it!" Kayla threw out an expanded pokeball that opened up to release an eevee with red and green beams of light.
"Vee!" Quintrell voiced as he shook his body to get rid of the slight stiffness from resting in the pokeball before waiting quietly for a command.
"Start it off with Quick Attack!" Kayla ordered when the pokeball returned into her hand, which she placed back where it was before.
A second later, Quin dashed at the mareep this way and that, in lightening speed.

Abyss tried her best to follow the eevee as he flashed from here to there, but it was too late to move as she felt him strike her side with a strong force. She was knocked off the pillar she had been standing on, trying to get back on her hooves now on the ground.
"Feh, not bad," Kailana gave a snooty remark as she smiled. "Let's try a thunder attack, Abyss. Let 'im have it!"
She snorted, glaring evily at the male eevee as she could feel the nasty sand biting through her beautiful fluffy fur. It sparked and hissed as it began to charge before she let out the electricity into to storm clouds above. They began to flash before they released her attack, the large bolt aiming for Quintrell.

Both Kayla and Quin noticed a storm build above them and knew it couldn't be anything good.
"Get out of the way, Quin!" Kayla shouted but too late...way too late.
The storm was building up electricity and shot down at Quintrell and it hit it's mark, causing him no damage but made all his muscles stiffen and unable to move at all.
"Damn..." Kayla muttered.
"VeeVee....Vee..." Quintrell desparately tries to move with all his might but still cannot manage it.
Only choice now is to wait it out and hope they can snap out of it soon...Quote: Quintrell - 800/800 Paralysis - 1/3

She snickered, smiling wickedly as she pranced over to the stiff eevee. "(HA! How's it feel to be stuck like that?)" She gave a small snort, tossing her head up to move her hair.
She chuckled as well, watching her pokémon and guessing what she was most likely saying. "Alright, enough taunting for now Abyss. Keep him paralyzed with fear, growl!"
"Mmmaaaaareep!" She scowled angrily towards Quin, pawing at the sandy battlefield to get her message across.

Quintrell desparately continues to try break the paralysis but still no good after watching Abyss prancing around as if she already won the battle. It only made Quin more angry that he got himself into this. The only thing that ran through his mind was, I'll get her for this. I'll get her for this...
Meanwhile, Kayla tries to come up with another tactic to beat the mareeps electric attacks. There will be little chance of avoiding something like this but they could only hope. It's all a matter of what tactics to use.
As Abyss growls meacningly, Quin was trembling but not with fear...
Rage... Eyes fixed on Abyss.

Kai relaxed her pose, she didn't want to get too worked up over this battle and there was no reason to fret just yet. She could see the look in Quin's eyes; she grinned inside, Yes..
"Abyss, iron tail attack," she said casually, eyeing the other trainer.
The bobber at the end of her tail began to glow, the rest of her tail giving off a metalic sheen. "Maaa!" Abyss charged towards him with all her might before jumping and swinging round in the air to try and add some momentum to her attack.

Abyss's tail suddenly glows shiny silver as it prepares to use Iron Tail before the mareep started to charge. It was unavoidable. Even though Quin could not move a single muscle, he mentally prepared himself for the attack and closed his eyes.
Wham!
The Iron Tail sent him skidding across the playing field, causing enough damage to cause Quintrell to pant a little. Forunately, that attack seemed to have jarred the paralysis to be released from his body.
Kayla looked down at Quintrell as he got up to his feet. "Are you alright, Quin?" she worried.
"Vee, Vee (Of course!!)" He acknowledged.
"Great! Let's show them we can fight just as dirty."
Even though Kayla is ready to order Quintrell to attack, she knew that the numbness of the paralysis was slowly fading and it would be wise to wait until it fully left his body before continuing. So they wait for the right moment.Quote: Quintrell - 600/800 Attack - (-50 HP)

"Keep at him, Abyss, don't back down!" She smiled faintly, her red eye watching her mareep swell with confidence. "Body slam!"
She looked menacingly at the eevee, a glint of joy found in her eyes as she pawed at the sandy ground once more. Once more she burst into a sprint, charging through the air as she lowered her head as she let out another cry.

"Here it comes!" Kayla warned as Abyss was about to do a body slam. Now that the paraylsis was gone, it was time to make their move.
Quintrell was still a little out of it, trying to get use to being able to use his body again. Maybe that's why he couldn't dodge the body slam because when Kayla shouted, "Move, Quin!" Quintrell was a tad slow and only managed to soften the blow by running in the direction of Abyss going.
It still did cause some damage and sent Quin rolling, nevertheless.
Panting, Quin got up, glaring daggers at mareep.
"Use Yawn!"
The eevee opened its mouth and gave a loud, long yawn that emitted a wave of...something...that cause a pokemon to sleep because of it. Kayla hoped that it was effective. Abyss didn't stop charging; she kept up her pace as she took a hard turn to avoid a large rock and was once more facing the male. Her red eyes only caught a glimpse of his mouth before he yawned; she proceeded to keep her head low, drowning out all other sounds with her hoof beats.
Kai herself almost let out a yawn, doing her best to keep it in as she watched the battle with little interest. She knew Abyss could handle herself, at least for now, and let her run the show.
She let out another cry when she knew she was close to hitting him; she hoped she didn't hit any rocks on the way, that would sure be a thorn in her attack.

Damn it didn't work! Kayla exclaimed mentally.
Quin was suddenly rammed in the side by Abyss again, causing him to roll to a complete stop before he got up again, a little out of breath.
"Let's try it again, Yawn now!"
