He stood outside the building, glancing up for a moment before looking back down to the card he held in hand, tail ticking back and forth behind him. The building didn't exactly look like something to write home about... But hell, looks could be deceiving.
Snorting he crumpled the card, letting it fall to his feet before heading inside. He hated to be late for appointments...

The girls at the front desk always looked far more interested in their work when any of the suits were around, even more so with himself or Rufus. It amused him to not end that they thought pretending like they were working would do them any good when he already knew what they spent most of the day doing.
He had an appointment with a man he'd spoken to Rufus about. His boss already agreed that they could use the extra hands around and he'd already done enough checking up on the man to figure he'd at least be good enough for a test run.

He eyed the girls behind the desk for a moment, pondering just how far he could get himself with small talk before the sound of footsteps drew his ears elsewhere. His brow lofted slightly as he removed his glasses, tucking them into the breast pocket of his shirt. "You the one who sent me that little invitation?"

"In a manner of speaking, yes." He nodded curtly. Technally Rufus had sent it but it was usually up to him to actually recruit people when he could. Rufus only bothered personally when it was of great interest to him.
"If you would?" He motioned to the staircase behind him that led up to the platform that the elevators were located on.

He paused for a brief moment, sorely tempted to insist that the other man go first as he wasn't used to being the lead during interviews... Then again, it was probably some sort of test or hell, maybe he was just over-thinking s**t.
"My pleasure." He said easily enough as he stepped up onto the first stair.

He followed quietly after the other man. "I assume you read over the information that i sent you along with the card?" IF he hadn't then he could just see the man out the door quickly enough.

"I did." After the initial 'what the hell', at least. It wasn't every day one received a packet of information like that. He'd almost expected it to come with a 'this message will self destruct' notice ala Inspector Gadget. Good thing real life wasn't like that...

"Good." He nodded and moved past the other man once they were on the landing. He headed toward the elvators and pushed the button for the doors to open. Once he'd beconed the other man to join him he slipped his card out of the inner pocket of his jacket and slid it though the small card reader. This way he could put in the code that would take them to Rufus' office.

He followed the other man into the elevator, closing his eyes just enough that he could watch everything around him without seeming like he was doing so exactly. He made note of the various security precautions that he had seen already, also taking inventory on the thoughts he had of things he hadn't seen.

The elevator ride was quiet, just the soft hum of the power, and the door chiming softly as the doors opened into a rather spacious office. There were a few plants here and there an a single pristine white desk with two chairs in front of it. Behind all that was a window that took up the entire wall and looked over the city. "This is the Presidents Office, he personally meets all of our new employees."

"Before or after they're hired?" He smirked, eying the desk. It felt like he was in a damned hospital room or something... Only with a few more plants. There was no reason why he should be this anxious.

His jaw curved into a slight smirk. "it depends on the situation." Garin was one of the lucky ones who got to meet him before he was hired.
Moving over to the desk he stopped beside one of the two white leather visitors chairs. "Rufus .... Garin is here to see you"
He turned his chair slightly, looking up from the paperwork he'd been going through. "You're early." He looked over at the white-tailed one.

"By my watch I'm right on time, Sir." He just managed to tame his smirk from going wider, tail still behind him no matter how much he wanted to just let it swish. Body language said a lot about a person and he didn't want to be seen as some impatient prat. "Would you prefer I came back at another time more suited to your convenience?"

"Better early than late." He smirked as he set the files down and got up carefully from his chair. "You are Garin i take it? You come rather highly recommended."

"I do? That would be new news." This time his smirk did broaden. "If you don't mind me asking, who recommended me to you? I'd like to at least vouch for their credibility before we go on."
