Donnie sat in a small patch of grass not very far north of the Meadow. The sun was hot, but the small breeze kept Donnie somewhat cool. No one seemed to be around and Donnie was feeling a bit lonely. He began to talk to himself casually, noticing the weather and other surroundings. Although the sun was bright, he couldn't help but notice the clouds in the distance that seemed to be bringing in a storm. "Hmmm...a thunderstorm?" He thought out loud to himself.

Mint stared off with wide eyes into the distance, who could believe that it was so damn sunny today! Ohh the heat was bothering her so much. She blinked slowly, although that made no difference, Mint was blind. She could not see a thing but could hear many many noises. She had the hearing of an owl-- which was good. The thunder roared in her ears, she could hear that a storm was brewing; not to far from here but the storm was coming quickly. "Oh what fun~" Mint liked storms. They made her feel more than anything could ever make her feel. Then she heard a voice, not to far from her.. "Is any one theree~?" Her voice was a little on the deepish side, but it made Mint sound more mature.

A loud boom of thunder made Donnie's speculations true. He smiled at the oncoming storm. Just then he heard a voice and turned to see a female not too far away from him. She was a light colored, green, white and brown, namir and immediately made Donnie think of something sweet, although he wasn't sure what it was right off the top of his head. It appeared she was having some kind of trouble seeing. He called back to her in a calm friendly voice. "Uh, hey. I'm here..." he said, answering her question. "Do you, ah, need some help or something?"

After that boom, a crack of lightning flashed and more clouds began to surround them. But her ears twitch at the males voice and turns her head towards the boy.. or man.. and begins moving towards him with incredible accuracy. It would have been acool sight if it didn't help that she tripped one or two times. "Ahah~! No I'm fine. Why do you ask Mr.... Hm, what is your name? I don't think I have heard your voice before!"

Donnie watched her as she made her way to him. He just stared at her in slight amazement as she tripped a few times, but none the less continued making her way in his direction. When she stopped he answered her question. "Donnie. Just Donnie." He thought it odd to be called Mr. even though he himself he knew was odd, but no matter. "It just looked like you were having some kind of trouble...but I guess you don't really need any help." He chuckled and then smiled at her, not yet knowing that she wouldn't see his friendly smile. "So what's your name?"

Her ears perked up and twitched several times as they were talking. "Donnie! An interesting name, never heard it before. how did you get your name?" A weird fact about her, Mint doesn't blink as much as regular namir, and she doesn't keep her eyes closed like the blind. So most of the time it will look like she's dazing off into the distance. It looked like this now, in fact! "My name is Mint, not sure why that's my name.. or how it came to be, very mysterious~!"

"Thanks," Donnie chuckled. "I'm not sure how I got my name really, but I think it means 'World Ruler' or something like that..." He watched her eyes, wondering what it was that she was staring at. He turned to look, but didn't see anything. He knew that if he stared long enough however, his mind would probably plant something there, so he looked away quickly, focusing his eyes back on hers. At the mention of her name, the sweet thing Donnie had thought of when he saw her suddenly came to his mind. "Mint. Well that figures, you look like mint!" He wondered why that fact hadn't occurred to her, and then he remembered her distant stare. Maybe she wasn't staring at anything...maybe she couldn't see...'maybe she was blind?' He thought to himself. But he didn't feel like being rude, so he didn't ask her.

"'World Ruler' Ohh.. interesting. Do you actually want to become one?" She blinks and tilts her head when he sounds as though her being a mint was so obvious. This confused her slightly but then she thought that she might actually look like one.
"Mint.. do I really? I never heard of it before..! Do they have a sound? Maybe I can tell what it looks like if heard it!"This was something new to her, and usually when she hears of something new, it makes her very curious, both ears and tail twitch quickly and her normally glazed eyes shine brightly.. at least somewhat.

Donnie chuckled, "Nah," he said. "I don't think that kinda thing is for me." He grinned almost deviously at the thought. He'd be a terrible ruler.
Donnie thought for a moment before speaking again. How would he explain what a mint was to someone who apparently couldn't see? "Uh...well. A mint is...it doesn't have a sound. It's something you eat. It's really sweet, and you especially see a lot of them around Christmas time. It's really supposed to be white, but most people associate the color green with it. A light green...like the color you are. Green, white, and brown. Although...mints aren't brown..." He stopped, noticing that he was beginning to ramble. He didn't want to sound like an idiot in front a girl that he just met.
((I changed his color, because I like this one better! XD))

((It's a cute color 8D)) She laughs lightly at this, not aware of the grin he made, nor the thoughts he had... "Heh, well it was a interesting thought, no?"
Her head tilted at the thoughts of this, and she blinked several times. "I'm trying to imagine this.." she giggles a bit. "I'm having a horrible time though! I don't know what a 'green' or 'brown' or 'white' is!" She shakes her head and.. tilts her head up. "I will never know what those things look like, oh, I'm sorry I forgot to mention that all I see is .. well.. nothing! I do hear everything though"

"Yes, very interesting," Donnie agreed.
He then went back to explaining a mint, except now, not only did he have to describe that, he had to describe 'green', and 'white', and 'brown.' He tilted his head and looked at her. She seemed so excited to learn about new things. He chuckled at her enthusiasm. "Well, I figured actually, but it's a good thing to know. I've never met anyone who was blind before, but I do know that they have good hearing. You must be able to hear very well! But I'm surprised that no one has explained colors to you before. Green and white and brown are all colors. They're what makes things unique." He thought for a moment. "Like...for instance...the sun. I'm sure you can tell when the sun is shining. It's very bright...very...warm. Yellow. Yellow is a warm color. Like the sun. Of course there are other warm colors other than yellow. Like red. Or orange. And then of course there are cool colors, like green and brown. Cool colors are darker. Like the night. But, I would say that your shade of green is a bit lighter. I'd actually put it in the warm category." He sighed, hoping he was helping even the slightest bit. "I'm sorry if I'm confusing you..."
Another rumble of thunder sounded in the distance, signaling that the storm was still approaching.

Mint actually began to blink quickly at this as she took all of this in. Cool colors, warm colors.. Black, green, yellow.. Oh this was so weird yet it intrigued her mind. " It makes me wonder if that might be what I see when I feel the vibrations on the earth! It disturbs this darkness I see.. and something.. very light pops up so I can see some. Um" She pats her head with her paw looking confused. "Shapes, I think they're called shapes.." She nodds before shaking her head. "Don't worry I'm always confused, but that means that I'm learning, doesn't it?"
Her face grew solemn as she heard the growl of thunder, eyebrows furrowing from this. "We need to find shelter, the storm about to hit seem severe. About five to eight miles away."

Donnie smiled. "Yeah, I'm sure you can see colors to some extent. Different shades at least, and in the form of shapes. That makes sense. Well, I'm glad I could be of some help."
Donnie also hear the thunder. He smiled, welcoming it. It did sound like a big one though. He sighed and turned his attention back to Mint. "Yeah, that's a good idea. I think there are some caves east of here."

"Ohh, I can't believe that I could see.. something other than darkness~ I am so happy to learn this! And thank you so very very much for the help!"
"Do you mind if you could lead me to one, I don't think I'll be able to find one in time!" She laughs a little weakly before standing up. "If not it's okay, I'll try looking for a hollowed out tree.."

Donnie chuckled again at her enthusiasm. Despite the storm coming, her presence seemed to brighten everything. She was so cheery, he couldn't help but smile.
"I don't mind if you follow me." He began to walk forward a little bit, but then realized that if he wanted to make it in time he would have to run. He turned to her and asked, "Do you think you can keep up?"
