Name: Nagiko (Na-jii)

Age: Unknown but in Soul Society standards is quite young for he was only dead for 2 and a half years.

Gender: Male

Skin Color / Race: Pale white Caucasian/ English decent

Physical Description:

Nagi is tall, slim built and very pale skinned. His standard black shinigami uniform is modified to look more like a shinto-priest robe with the slits on the upper arms. His white captain's haori is also modified a bit for it includes a hood like that of a sorcerer. Special accessories include a pair of arm guards and choker that protects him from cuts and minor burns (made from Kevlar). He also wears glasses (later reveals that they are transition lenses that where made specially for him due to his lack of vision in bright lights) but usually hides them while others are around.
There are two tattoos on his face under his eyes and a small pair of wings tattooed on his back that he does not remember getting (it is suggested the the dark lines represent the fact that his nightmares kept him awake and he finally died after falling asleep). Sometimes his right eye will turn black (dilated) while the left stays blue. This state is where he earns his nickname "Two-tone". (This is explained more in the profile)

Zanpaku-to: Name- Tenchi-Kyougai (Creed of the Angels)- Stays in the form as a normal Bamboo Shinai because of the fact that he has no desire to kill. He feels strongly tied to it and gets nervous when it is removed from his grasp. He's good at fighting with it in this form since he'd trained with it for so long.

Shikai:Commands- "Protect" and "Disperse"
When Nagi uses the command "Protect" the weapon transforms into a giant white feather shaped blade used for defense only since his darker half is the spirit that resides in the Zanpaku-to at the time. This form cannot be used unless he is defending somebody(this includes himself).
When Nagi uses the command "Disperse" this is when his Zanpaku-to takes the form as a pair of white feathered wings and a halo of barbed wire appears over his head after spilling his first drop of blood in battle. Each feather being a single blade, he can control them individually as well as fly. Nagi will only use this when his darker half takes over and his urge to kill is present while the lighter side of his soul is now in his Zanpaku-to. This form is used for attacking.
Note- Nagi is starting to learn how to combine these two attributes now that he is starting to understand the spirit inside his weapon. Combined, this weapon and his abilities can be devastating. (This is when he goes "Two-tone".)

Special Zampaku-to Attacks:
Shield Form: Haro-shougeki- (Halo Crash) Uses the shield combined with Nagi’s speed and Tenchi’s spiritual energy with the force of a battering ram, sending his opponents flying.
Attack Form: Sakurifaisu- (Ultimate Sacrifice) The feathers from his wings disperse and wildly slashes at everything within 20 meters of him, including himself. Both Nagi and Tenchi completely use up their spirit energy to use this so it is only needed in desperate situations.

Bankai:
Bankai: Bankai:Haro-kuromeru (black halo) Command: "Repent"- Nagi's wings turn black and tattered while a long whip made of three braided strands of razor wire emerges from the empty hilt. Although this may appear to be not a very big deal to some, the power that Nagi possesses when in this state is somewhat remarkable considering that despite Nagi's kind nature, it is malicious in many ways. When his Bankai is activated, he can dive deep into the heart of his opponent, revealing the enemy's fears, all the evil deeds that have been committed, and hear the screaming and agony of every person they've ever slain, casting the individual into a personal hell. It is as if the enemy is thrown into a terrifying nightmare that is difficult to awaken from. Depending on how much evil is inside the individual's heart, the effects may vary, however, if the enemy has killed many people, then he shall be tortured by many people's crying souls. The more fear that the enemy feels, Tenchi's spiritual energy will increase due to the fact that his main power is fueled by fear. Although this nighmare is just an illusion, it distracts the opponent, giving Nagi the opportunity to lash out and eventually cause the person to bleed to death from the razor wire. Nagi will not activate his Bankai unless he is truly angered and he also has to be two-tone for it to work properly. He may possibly be able to use it, but has not come under the right circumstances for it to become revealed. (image is not complete)

Personality:His blue eyes indicate the "lighter half" for he is always seen with a friendly smile or grin. As a captain, he is extremely calm and laid back due to his belief that kido users should maintain their thoughts and emotions to help them focus better. His thoughts seem to always be focused on what is positive for he has a very optimistic way of looking at things and is a lover of good humor. It is because his belief that there is good in everyone he may be seen as naive to most people, but it is because of that belief that his is very understanding of how other people think. Though he is quick physically and mentally, Nagi is extremely clumsy and wishes to get over it along with his terrible long and short term memory. He also dislikes formality for it makes him nervous and doesn't see it as necessary in most occasions. Since Nagi has only been in the soul society for a short time, he's considered to be quite young amongst the other soul reapers and it doesn't help when he can't remember ever growing up. Despite this, he is mature and prefers calm reasoning over assertive force, but is still shy toward women. He shows no sign of restlessness nor shows any interest in excelling his power without a reasonable cause.
Due to one of his newly discovered pet peeves- Nagi will also automatically tell you how to pronounce his name upon introduction or will correct those who say his name.

When his eyes go black (dilated pupils) , he appears frightening to some due to the fact that he bares a nonchalant, blank look on his face and doesn’t seem to care about anything because he lacks most emotions. This is the dark half when it comes fourth (usually by force). He may also become cocky and analytical while fighting others and will be most certain to sarcastically point out the faults of others on the intent of making them feel stupid. "Tenchi" is no different than "Nagi" when it comes to defending those he cares for but is more aggressive about it due to the fact that he will find any reason to deny his own supposable, non-existent emotions. Everything that Nagi had supposedly forgotten, Tenchi knows and is therefore the wiser and most experienced of the two. He often gives Nagi advice whenever he's confused.

History:
Before he came to know Tenchi personally, Nagi used to get small flashbacks that make him zone out from time to time. Finally after a long hard road, he and the zanpaku-to are finally able to communicate. Though the two still don't get along due to the fact that their methods and beliefs are completely opposite, they still manage to work together when fighting since they rely on each other's negative and positive energy (creating a whole). Unfortunately, it also caused Nagi to suddenly be open to some of the memories he once forced himself to forget long ago. Though it happens less, he still may zone out for even longer periods of time and is far more terrified of his visions then he ever was before. Before he had died, Nagi went by the name Tenchi Shebasaburo. He was given the name of Naji (I spell it with a "g" because I am American after all...) while he resided in Soul Society. He had no memory but Tenchi holds the rest of his memories but for a very good reason!

Once Nagi woke up in the Soul Society, confused, no memory, and alone he eventually made a home at an abandoned dojo outside of the Rukongai. He somehow had spiritual powers, but did not know how he obtained them. Wanting to control this power, he spent most of his time, practicing and honing his skills with a bamboo training sword that he found (at least within his memory he did) in his new home. He used it to protect himself and others he’d run into who were in trouble or being attacked by thieves. Although people where grateful to him and even gave him the name Najiko, he still did not concern himself with them and spent his time alone. He never spoke a word to anyone due to his odd shyness.
Even though he was content with what he was doing for people, he felt empty and cold. Something was missing, like a part of his soul didn’t even exist and he’d find himself staring or waking up in unknown places. The only time he ever really felt like he was somebody was when he was helping others. That was when his calling awoke and suddenly felt that it was right to make something out of it; that he wanted to protect people always. It just felt right. Perhaps it was because he had no concern of his life at all. He realized that he didn’t fear death, for he always felt that he was already dead although his spirit was obviously still alive. Unable to figure it out, he made the decision to join the shinigami army.
He’d heard of these beings called Soul Reapers that lived inside of the Seireitei, and how powerful and great they were. Although he was annoyed with the fact that he'd never once seen one outside of their lap of luxury, he still felt the need to see for himself to find out what it was like to become something greater. His need to protect and make a difference drove him to eventually make up his mind and joined the 13 Court Guard Companies in his quest to find his own meaning.

Skills and Abilities:
Shun-po- Arrived with the ability though was very clumsy. Mastered it during his membership in 2nd division.
Utsusemi - The ability to shun-po and leave behind an afterimage.
Instant war cry- A technique that combines hand to hand fighting with kido. Learned with Yuki.
Has very good vision in the dark, but unfortunately has poorer vision in the light. Nagi also has a high pain tolerance and will fight until his body wont let him anymore. His desire to protect and sensing his opponent's fear (as Tenchi) increases this ability.
Good control over Riatsu but only through his right hand. Since his spirit energy is usually channeled to that one side, he is capable of still concentrating while doing other things such as thinking other thoughts or speak without losing his focus. Nagi is technically ambidextrous as well as both right and left brained (since his zampaku-to inhabits his body) so he is able to do two things ate one time.


Nagi is book smart in all forms of Kido though he prefers not to use some of the higher level hados due to their harmful power. Though Nagi is usually left handed, his right serves better when it comes to channeling and controlling spirit energy. Because of his ability to focus as “two-tone” he can control and summon large amounts of spirit energy at one time.

Best Performed Kidos:
Mirror Door (Kyōmon) — It creates a glass-like barrier which is difficult to break from the outside, but quite simple to break from the inside. (Nagi enjoys this one because his opponent cant see it- usually funny results)
White Lightning (Byakurai) — Fires a concentrated bolt of lightning from the caster's forefinger. (The only Hado Nagi prefers to use)
White Crawl (Hakufuku)- Renders a target unconscious. (has trouble with this one and will sometimes accidentally do it to himself. He mentally performs this spell by looking into the eyes of his opponent. )
Six Rods Prison of Light (Rikujōkōrō) — Summons six thin, but wide, beams of light that slam into a target's midsection, holding them in place. (Nagi will use this one if he truly deems his opponent as a threat.)
81. Splitting Void (danku) — Creates an energy barrier in the form of a rectangular wall. According to Byakuya, it is capable of stopping destructive spells up to #89.

Name: Suri (lack of surname due to a history that has yet to be revealed)

Age: Physically she looks to be around 23 years of age; in reality she is close to 1,700 years old (living during the Yamato dynasty's start)

Gender: Female

Skin Color / Race: a pale skin color, flawless, almost porcelain like, but with a tint enough to show liveliness. Asian.

Physical Description: (Pictures are acceptable.) Suri stands at around 5 feet 5 inches, slightly taller than an average Asian female. She has silvery eyes that rarely reveal anything, and full lips that always seem to be set in a grim line. Her nose is slightly flat, but it doesn't make her face any less appealing. Her eyebrows are a bit arched and perfectly shaped. Her hairline is just a bit closer to her eyes than her chin is from her eyes (it's almost proportional to the "ideal beauty" for those artists out there! =P), and she has straight black hair that falls past her waist. It is thick and voluminous, full of a healthy shine...and perfect for concealing thin weapons. Her hair is usually done in an array of styles. She leaves her hair down when out of battle, but during formal occasions it is usually done up in a sleek and elegant bun. During battle she makes a single braid and does the upper half in a bun, leaving the rest to hang down her back. In both battle and formal occasions, her bun has two sleek chopsticks protruding out at a tilted 90 degree angle from each other. (More on the chopsticks and braid in the extra section)

Zanpaku-to: (achieved) ( Touketsu~shin is symbolic of Suri in that she no longer possesses the ability to truly love. It is a pure white blade, and so cold it burns (think about metal that gets heated until it is pure white. Now imagine that kind of heat cold.) The hilt is like the crisscrossed katana hilts, except the bottom is gray, and the ribbons are silver with metallic linings braided in. There is a small chain that hangs off of the end of the hilt. The metal rings are about 4 inches long, and at the end is a round pendant into which is carved a picture of a Siberian tiger, Asian dragon, and Phoenix with an elaborate mountains and sakura petal blossoms background. It is similar to the seal of royal houses, with a complicated picture on a metal piece about an inch and a half in diameter. It is an ice-type zanpaku~to. The spirit of her sword is a huge Siberian Tiger that stands at 8 feet tall when on all fours. In the sealed form, Touketsu~shin is able to freeze whatever the blade touches, heal minor cuts or burns, and can nullify kidou under level 10.

Shikai: (achieved) Touketsu~shin's shikai form is that it becomes a large snowflake with a diameter of 6.5 feet, the hilt located as a handle in the center. When Suri rapidly spins snowflake though, it compresses into a broad-sword with a thick hilt. Spinning the broadsword again re-opens it to the snowflake form. The snowflake itself is put to good use to cover a wide area to turn into ice, or it is usually an effective shield since it is taller than Suri.
Its most obvious ability is that it can create ice by the blast of air following the blade's swing. Contact with the zanpaku~to's blade is not needed to create ice. Fire is not a clear disadvantage since heat creates steam and condensation which leads to a re-freeze, but the problem with fire is the reiatsu required to sustain the ice form. Against a weaker fire-type, the ice form is not hard to sustain. Captains can eventually vaporize this ability in bankai, sometimes shikai, although it can be used long enough to slow them so that Suri will be able to attack.
This is not limited to "ice walls" or such, but it can also do things such as freeze people's joints so that they cannot effectively attack. Essentially it can nullify a water user's attacks. When frozen, Suri can shatter things by smashing them with her blade. This does not apply to shinigamis, but it makes it easier for her to cripple them since their bodies are too stiff to relax properly (cripple = broken bones and such). Suri cannot freeze other zanpaku~tos since they are made of a person's reiatsu. If Touketsu~shin in shikai mode comes into contact with a zanpaku~to, it will create an icicle explosion that will throw out deadly shards, the brunt being in the direction that Suri was swinging her zanpaku~to. This applies only to kidou attacks above level 40 (anything under is nullified by the blade), although a strong enough kidou could melt the icicles and continue its attack. If Suri uses the snowflake form to block a kidou, then there is an icicle explosion with the shards flying back into the snowflake (or through the cracks) since the kido was flying towards her.
There are more restorative properties to touketsu~shin's ice too (lesser power). It is not completely effective, but it is good enough until someone can get to 4th squad. The ice can heal larger burns or close up cuts right away instead of just numbing them. This CANNOT heal vital or organ wounds. While it can cover up a stab through the guts or the heart, chances are it would only give a person about 10-15 extra minutes, tops. When it freezes something stiff, the ice formed in shikai acts as a good cast to set broken bones or dislocated joints, but it does not last long enough for them to fully heal.

Bankai: (NOT achieved) I'm planning on this twisted I've decided so far that it will be along the lines of Rurouni Kenshin's reverse blade, a sakabatō. In this form Suri can coat anything in ice without needing to touch it. Basically she has the ability to freeze anything, even without moisture. For example, she can freeze the inside of a leaf while leaving it looking normal on the outside. This allows her to create a shield around herself at all times. It also allows her to stop a moving object, including kidous. Since kidous are reiatsu dependant, Suri cannot stop high level kidous (60+), but she can slow them, sometimes enough that they will disappear before reaching her. Beyond stopping things, this allows her to freeze the air into shapes, so she can effectively create icicles for people to run into. This cannot be done to touch a person instantly though - the icicle has to be created with at least a foot width between the person and the icicle tip (the last part formed). Like her shikai, Suri can make it so cold that people's bodies stiffen up and they respond slowly, so she can break bones easily, and it makes it easier for her to dodge most things since she is immune to the cold and thus not slowed by it. If she physically manages to touch a person with her hand, then she can freeze them solid. Of course this is rare since almost nobody gets touched by hand. The same icicle explosion happens on contact of her zanpaku~to with reiatsu (zanpaku~tos and kidou above 60).
An additional ability / control is gained in bankai (how it comes about will be revealed when Suri actually gets trained for bankai). This ability is pressure. This is related since the formation of ice is affected by not just temperature, but also by pressure.

Personality: Suri is usually a very distant and cold person. She is formal in an almost archaic way, bowing at certain respectful angles depending on a person's position. Random note: Her current obsession is her discovery of the modern Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich. She is a tea lover and in her spare time tries to come up with her own concoctions. She has a hidden greenhouse where she breeds plants specifically for the tea-leaves they can yield. Usually Suri is anti-social, so she is often mistaken for stuck-up and thus gets a lot of "in your-face, rebellious" shinigami attitudes. She tries not to let it bother her, but since she is commonly serious and mature, she has a low toleration for immature fledglings who try to act out. However, she is always willing to help, even though sometimes people take it the wrong way or as interference. Often times she makes it clear that she does not want to discuss her past, although a lot of things remind her of it, so she drops random comments at times that hint at it. She is skilled with reading and writing, generally signs of a reclusive, but she does not mind sparring and meeting new people. However, she doesn't know how to talk to new people very well...

History: To give the shorter version: Suri was a peasant girl in a rural farming village in China. Since she was on the Silk Road, she came to possess knowledge in a variety of dialects. One year, during a famine, her father sold her off to traders on the Silk Road. The traders took her to the east coast of China and then sold her across the sea to Japan where she entered a warring lord's home. He tried to win her over with roses, causing her to detest roses. After getting impatient, he forced himself on her and after that she worked as a mistress/harem girl/maid in his house. One day, angered, she killed him. Experiences with the rough-shod men of rukongai continued after death and from that Suri possesses a slight fear and a large hatred of men.

Extra: In battle, when Suri braids up her hair and does the bun with the chopsticks, the chopsticks are actually poisoned tip blades. Very small, almost like a needle, except far sturdier. She pushes a button on the side of the chopstick and the top sinks into the hollow, revealing the poison tipped blades. Of course, no one can tell it's poisoned. As for the braid, Suri braids a blade into the braid, so by whipping her hair around, she can slice people up. This too can be poisoned at times, but it is far less efficient to do so since the poison either flies off or gets used up really fast, so Suri rarely poisons the blade in her hair. The weight of the blade also allows it to have a "truer" swing, so it is far more accurate than a "blind attempt" at swinging her hair at her opponent.
