 Apple's grey eyes darted around. What should he do this day? His tail dragged behind him as he walked. There wasn't much to do here. A relaxing day sounded nice. A day at the beach! While humming a little tune, the stallion slowly walked towards the spot where the grass met the sand. His grey eyes continued to look around at the bright colors the beach held. A few seashells were sticking out of the ground, each with its own unique look.
His grey ears flicked back as he walked towards the water. He stopped so that the water would just barely lick his hooves when it came onto the shore. Apple didn't mind getting wet, but at the moment he didn't feel like getting too wet. Maybe when the sun moved further up into the sky he'd move further into the water.

 Alianna's warm brown eyes strayed curiously across the horizon, the salty sea smell in her nose, and the warm golden sand beneath her hooves. The sun was just climbing up the sky, showering morning's first light onto the blue waves as they crashed onto the beach, and causing the mare's male and tail to seem like glittering strands of gold. She was still several hundred meters away from the water and she had half a mind to take a little dip, feeling the big waves crashing around her, the taste of salt on her lips, and the sand rolling beneath her hooves.
As she moved closer to the sea, she paused, what was that gray figure standing right at the edge of the water? She blinked, it was a soquili. Alianna smiled slightly, it would be nice to make a new friend. She trotted towards him with a warm smile on her face, and calling,"Morning!"

The salty air filled the stallion's lungs as he took in a deep breath. It was good to just have a day to relax, though, it was a little boring being alone. He laughed a little and thought about the positives, he would be able to clear his head this way. His long tail laid in the sand behind him as he felt his hooves sink deeper into the sand when the water came to lick them again.
The sound of another's voice caught his ear. First, his ear flicked in the direction of the voice. Maybe he was just hearing things? Then, his head turned and he noticed the mare. "Morning!" He called back, turning his body to face her. It seemed she wanted to talk, now he wouldn't be alone. A warm smile spread on his muzzle as he greeted the mare.

"Nice day, isn't it?" Alianna gestured towards the brilliantly blue sky, with several several fluffy white clouds scattered hither and tither. The perfect day to spend near that gigantic waves crashing upon the sand, scattering their sparkling glitter everywhere. Her golden tail swished absentmindly, as her hooves were gently licked by the sea water. For a moment or two, she surveyed the stallion curiously, his grey hide was spotted with darker grey and black specks, and what was those three orange circles and a green circle on his hindquarters? Peaches? Pears? She blinked, were those apples? Then as if she noticed that she was staring which was quite rude, she quickly raised her gaze to a faroff cliff, but not too quickly that was suspcious and tried to look like she had been staring at the jaunt of rock the whole time.
Her mind wondered absently about the apples, perhaps the stallion was named after the apples? At the thought, she suddenly remembered that she hadn't introduced herself yet. "Oh, and I'm Alianna. Who may you be?"

"Very." He said, letting his gaze trail out to the sea. It seemed to never end. His ears flicked a little and his muscles slowly relaxed, though they were still a little tense. It wasn't often that he ran into others. When the other started to stare at his markings, he didn't pay too much attention. Most others seemed to stare at them as well. He almost wanted to laugh, but stayed silent instead, only letting a smile spread on his maw. When the other mare tried to act as though she wasn't staring at his markings, he played along as if nothing had ever happened.
His eyes wandered over to the rocks for a second before they looked back to the sea then at the mare. "My name is Apple." He said with a nod. Most others found his name interesting and some found it comical. Apple loved his name.

Alianna blinked, "Apple?" So she was right, his name did seem to refer to refer to the markings on his hindquarters. She paused,"Apple, nice name. Doesn't it just have that sweet crunchy taste of the fruit? The wonderful luxurious smell that comes from them, the smooth glossy shine of them." She stopped, realizing that she was rambling on a bit and muttered, rather embarrassed,"Sorry, my mind just wonders off sometimes. Anyways, I think that your name perfectly fits you."

When she said his name, his ears flicked towards her without him even noticing. "Thanks, I like your name as well, Alianna." He said with a nod. Once she started to describe the apple, he couldn't help but imagine it as well. His tongue now wanted one and his stomach growled for one. Apple's cheeks turned a little red at the sound of his stomach growling at him. Most others believed his name fit him as well. "My mind does the same." He said with a laugh as he thought about how he too started to imagine the sweet, sweet apple.

Alianna smiled, muttering,"Thanks." She slightly aware that nobody had commented on her name before, well, it was just that her name just normal, plain. Ah well, she thought, it is nice to hear that from someone sometimes...She blinked, what was that slight rumbling noise? She tilted her head a bit, did that happen to be the stallion's stomach growling? At Apple's last comment, she looked up, her eyes sparkling slightly,"Really?" She giggled a little, it would be great to have a friend just like her.

His ears flicked towards her muttering. He smiled to the mare then looked up at the sky as well. Apple's eyes then lowered to the mare. "Really." He said with a slight laugh. His tail flicked slightly as he thought about what to talk about. He wasn't too social lately and didn't know what all to talk about. Apple looked out towards the water then at the sand beneath his hooves.

Alianna grinned, saying,"That's great. Usually people think I'm a little weird because my mind sometimes wonders elsewhere, probably too much imagination." She gave another some laugh, and then looked towards the water too. She wasn't that great conversation, and as she tilted her head slightly, she had the thought of jumping around in the waves just for the fun of it and to cool herself down a bit for the day was coming to be quite a bit hot.

He shrugged his shoulders a little at her comment. "Not weird at all." Apple said giving a thoughtful look. Why did others think that was so weird that another had a good imagination? His shoulders shrugged slightly to ease his thoughts. He looked towards the mare then out at the waves when he noticed she was looking out at the water.

"Wouldn't it be a joy to jump in out of the waves as gracefully as dolphins, letting one's happiness flow free through a loud cry of laughter? Feeling the cool water splash onto one's self, a great refreshing wave to cool down from under the scorching sun." She looked towardds the sea, wondering if it wouldn't be too rude to go run off and splash in the waves.

"Hm... we should figure out if it would be a joy." Apple said looking towards the water. "Last one's a rotten egg." He said jumping into a run towards the water. His silver eyes glanced back towards the mare to see if she was following. Most likely she wanted to be in the water as much as he did.

Alianna blinked, it was as if the stallion had just read her mind, and then his words caught up in her mind, and she laughed as she galloped towards the water as well. And jumped right in, feeling the water splash on her side, and the sand rolling beneath her hooves. It felt so good compared with being in an oven which was what she felt when the hot noon sun shone on her.

He splashed in the water only a few seconds before the mare did. Apple kicked up the sand under the water and flicked his soaked mane out of his face. His legs carried him as fast as they could through the water, sending water splashing everywhere. The stallion's silver eyes looked around for the mare. When they landed on her, he trotted over towards her and used his muzzle to flick some water at her.
