Rolling for field decision... Quote: City Streets Field:
Broken tar and faded yellow lines make up the “street” that runs down the exact center of the battle field. On either side of the road, sidewalks with pieces of concrete here and there are broken off while “building walls”, set with windows of sugar glass and rotating doors are placed on one side of the street. On the other is a broken down building with barred window and a boarded up door. Faint traces of grim and much cover the walls of both “buildings” while trash cans and trash bags decorate the street; some are torn open with their contents spilled out while others are not. A sewer grate nearby continually pours a stream of fog into the air while, on the corner near a crossroad, a phone booth is seen. The phone, hanging off the hook, makes a continuous busy signal. Dying and dead bushes line the building sides while occasional breezes blow the dead leaves onto the sidewalks and road.

Jackie strode onto the field, confident. Just like that last battle... she could still taste the bitterness of defeat in the back of her mouth. Ferrum the cranidos had been beaten... but now her opponent would have to face Ferrum the Rampardos! She still wrinkled her nose at the stink of the city streets. She looked to her partner at her side.
Ferrum met her Trainer's glance, her stare level. She was ready for this now. Grinding a heavy foot against the tar, she strode forward to meet her opponent. This time will be different.

Alexa skipped onto the field. Once she reached her trainer box the stench of the city streets field hit her. "EW! Oh nasty smelling!" She cried pulling her scarf to cover her face. She looked over at Jackie and Ferrum and waved. Her wave was cut short when she really looked at Ferrum. She had evolved into a Rampardos! "Looks like Vincent wasn't the only one to evolve." She mumbled before calling out to Jackie, "Hey Jackie! It's good to see you and Ferrum again!" She then drew out Vincent's Pokeball and threw it. A red beam of light appeared turning into a Arcanine.
Once Vincent was out of his Pokeball he stretched and sniffed the air. He gagged when the smell hit him. "AR!" He whined looking around. He then spotted Ferrum who had evolved like he did. "Ar arrrrrr canine! " He barked.

Jackie waved over to the other trainer, taken aback at the open friendliness she gave her. "Oh, hey!" she said, distractedly. She blinked as the Arcanine came into view. She exchanged a glance with Ferrum, a light in her eyes. "Let's start! Ferrum, use Head Butt!"
"Yup. You too." Ferrum grunted in response. She had been looking forward all day to standing up tall above a little growlithe... but Vincent had ruined her fun once more. But at the word to attack, Ferrum wasted no time in running at her opponent, her head down and shoulders braced for impact!

Vincent grinned when Ferrum responded. He wagged his tail as she ran towards him mistaking her Head Butt attack as a gesture of play. "Yay! Someone to play with!" He barked.
"Oh no. He can't think that she wants to play does he?" Alexa muttered before raising her voice, "Vincent dodge it! It's an attack! Use Thunder Fang!"
Vincent's ears twitch as his owner command. He jumped out of the but a little too late. He took the Head Butt attack right at his shoulder. He stumbled then turned. His mouth was open and lightening was cackling around his teeth. He then tried to bite down on Ferrum.

Ferrum ducked just in time to avoid the Arcanine's powerful teeth, but the electricity shot into her all the same! "Parrrdos?!" she exclaimed, as the volts crackled through her.
Jackie stepped away from the battling pokemon, taking refuge behind a broken-down car. "Phew, this place stinks!" she muttered. "Ferrum, try Dig!"
Ferrum had a hard time getting through to the ground, but quickly dug through the city street to the dirt underneath. Safe underground, she listened for her opponent's pawsteps above her. And when the time was right... She began to dig faster and faster upwards, aiming for where she felt the vibrations!

Alexa watched as Ferrum dug down into the ground. "Watch out Vincent she's underground!" She called moving away from the battle. She ended up near the phone booth. She soon was annoyed by the busy signal it was making. "Stupid phone." She said hanging it up.
Vincent nodded and jumped away from the hole Ferrum made. He began to feel the ground shake and jumped up. However he got hit but Ferrum's Dig attack and fell to the ground. "AR!" He cried standing up slowly.
"Vincent!" Alexa called, "You alright? Good. Let's show them how a Dig is suppose to be like!"
Vincent nodded at his trainer's question and began digging through the ground. It was hard at first but he soon got to the dirt. He listened to Ferrum's heavy footsteps. After listening for a moment he began digging up.

"Ferrum! Stop moving! Vincent went underground!" Jackie yelled, throwing out a hand. Her mind raced as she figured out what to do. By now, the Arcanine would be turning upwards... How did something that big go into a hole so small? Focus! "Ferrum, start leaping! Anywhere! Take really big steps!"
Ferrum's head jerked up at her Trainer's instructions. Underground? Really? Ferrum grumbled as she kept her sarcastic comments to herself. Jackie's strategy did make sense... She began to take large steps, when suddenly right behind her, the Arcanine leapt through the pavement, just missing Ferrum's tail. Whoa! Close call!
"Quick, Ferrum, Ancient Power!" Jackie's cry rang out oddly on the street.
Ferrum's green eyes glowed bright yellow, and her shoulders hunched as she drew power from the ground. In a mighty roar, she unleashed the power, flinging rocks and pieces of street tar at Vincent.

Alexa watched as Vincent came out of the ground and just missed Ferrum's tail. "Oh great. Wonderful job Vincent." She muttered, "SUNNY DAY!" She was hoping to help boost Vincent's fire power this way.
Vincent shot out of the ground and missed Ferrum. He shook himself sending dirt flying. He then used Sunny Day sending the sun out. He basked in the sunshine.

Jackie winced at the heat - she was definetely a cold weather person. But Ferrum seemed to be enjoying it... as was Vincent. "Time to get to the battle, Ferr! Head Smash!"
Ferrum seemed to stand in a trance for a moment, but was only drawing power from the rocks beneath her feet. Running to gain speed, she charged at the Arcanine as the sun beat down on her back.

Vincent didn't need Alexa to tell him what to do next. He tried to dodge Ferrum's attack but didn't move fast enough. He took the hit on his back legs. He then turned opening his mouth. Flames shot out straight for Ferrum.
"Great Flamethrower!" Alexa cheered.

Ferrum shook her head against the heat as the flames seemed to fly off of her skin. But the heat of the sun seemed to make the fire hotter and more intense! Gritting her teeth against the burn, she was determined not to give in to the heat!
"Ferrum, use Ancient Power again!" Jackie called. She watched as Ferrum's eyes grew yellow, and rocks flew towards the Arcanine. Wow. She's mastered that move for sure!

Vincent was just finishing up his Flamethrower when he was hit with a bunch of rocks. He fell down to the ground hard. He slowly stood up and had to pause to catch his breath. That last hit took a lot out of him.
"Oh no." Alexa groaned watching Vincent. He was nearly done for. "Come on Vincent! Show them what you've got!"
Vincent nodded but was still panting and catching his breath. After a moment he took a deep breath and spewed more flames at Ferrum with another Flamethrower.

Ferrum yelped as the hot flames touched her again. A smoky, burning smell started to waft about as Ferrum tried to shake the embers off.
Jackie wrinkled her nose at the disgusting scent. "Ferrum - Head Smash!" she said. Vincent is almost done for!
Ferrum looked back at the Arcanine, her eyes narrowed. That really hurt - but not as much as this will hurt! She charged at the larger pokemon, her skull aimed at Vincent.
