Gabriel had been terribly protective ofthe child through his illness, but thankfully the potions had been more than effective for him, Gillian seemed just as energenic and happy as ever, even enough to be left alone to play in the front of the main manner as his protector worked on the gardens.
Gillian himself laughed as he stumbled clumsily after a butterfly. This whole business of walking was growing a bt easier but still he looked much like he was having problems co-ordinating himself but for one his age he wasn't doing at all bad. The butterfly soon passed out of his reach and once again the baby plopped himself down, looking about shortly to figure out just what else to do to amuse himself, giving a long but contented sigh.
Yukito gave a bit of a yawn as he headed up along the path towards the mansion, he had stayed up rather late last night and the night before collecting herbs around his house and in the surrounding woods and making some more of his potions. He was getting better at making them and they came in a rainbow of various different colors. They were really pretty and he liked them.
He looked up towards the sky and smiled, "Ahh. Good. Sun." He murmured, it always helped to perk him up when he was feeling out of it
"Good sun, yes." Gillian peeked up from where he was sitting, his little horned head barely poking above the flower bed that he sat in. He was getting a bit better with speaking too, at least -he- thought so though his words were still slightly slurred and babbled. Many words he still couldn't say but he did make a good attempt at them.
His tail swished around behind him at seeing his older friend, laughing at his hiding spot there in the grass, "Morminm Yuki." He laughed again, turning to pick some loose grass from his tail.
Yukito looked around a moment recogizing the voice but not having any idea where it had come from, until he caught a glimpse of Gil and he smiled brightly, "Ahh! Gil!" He said happily as he walked over to kneel down near to where the little Sin'aeis was sitting, "Hey there little guy, how you doing?" He was glad to see that he was doing better, that the potions had seemed to worked for him. He was so glad for that, he had been so worried for him the last time he had seen him when the little boy was ill and coughing.
"Mmmhmmm good." He smiled, his tail thumping on the ground behind him. "I got for you... someting." He felt around himself for a moment, making a slight cooing sound as he frowned slightly. He knew that he had it somewhere. His little hands searched at his sides down to his long pockets before finally retrieving their querry and holding them up fo Yuki to see. A beaded bracelet- very native in style. Made from painted wooden beads and bits of bone carved finely into circles then polished smoothely. He had enough of them and Gabriel thought it would be a nice gesture after the boy had helped.
"Made me better." He smiled softly, "Hurt."
Yukito looked down at the bracelet that he was holding out to him then reached out to take it from him and his eyes went wide, "Wow. Thank you so much Gil." He murmured then put it on, "Its very lovely." He leaned over and gave the boy a hug.
"I am glad that I was able to help you. It was the least that I could do for a friend like you. I wish I had stronger potions that I could have of more help." He told him then sat up again.
"You will." He smiled softly. It was difficult to say much more than the basics but with any skill practice would be required to improve in it. Of all the Sins Gillian had met, Yuki seemed to be the most intelegent andhelpful. He could only imagine the hell he's still be going through if he'd still had that dreadful cough. A dry, pastey throat run raw from coughing, teary eyes, little sleep, and headaches. Gabriel had said his health was a frail thing- but Gabriel also often spoke of reasons behind everything. His meeting with Yuki probibly wans't by chance. "You good to....d..toay?"
He nodded, "I am doing quite well thank you, a little bit sleepy because I have been up making potions the past two nights but time spent in the sun will make me feel better, more awake." He told him with a nod of his head, his tail swished and forth.
He smiled a bit, shaking his head, "Yuki needs a nap, too tired gets grouchy." He chuckled again. Yeah, a grouchy Yuki, even around that rude lamb child he had quite a pleasent temperment. However, people with such quiet attitudes normally housed the worst fits of rage.
He scooted himself over and thumped the spot next to him, "Rest in the sun. It's warm." He smiled, puffing out his chest a bit. Truth be told he was quite proud that he'd mastered even that much speech.
"I promise I won't get grumpy," Yukito told him then laid back in the grass, "I don't need much sleep if I get time in the sun, I can absorb the sun's light and convert it into energy for myself." He told Gil stretching out his arms to the side and like his eyes close as he let the sun down beat down on him
Gillian blinked, trying to understand this. Sunlight gave you energy? He remembered Gabriel explaining why flowers couldn't grow in the dark- they needed water and sun because the sun showed them which way to grow and gave them energy, water was like plant food. Maybe Yuki was... a flower? The logic didn't seem right... but he wouldn't like.
"Like... a flower?" Gillian looked a bit confused, looking from a small bed of tulips back to Yuki. He wrinkled his brow a bit then leaned over to sniff at Yuki's hair, maybe if he smelled good...

Gillian stood by the mound of upturned earth just outside of Gabriel's estate's main gate. He still didn't quite understand- but he knew that Ai-Hawa wasn't coming back, she stopped moving, and she was now under all that dirt in a big box that Gabriel had made. His guardian had tried explaining it as gently as he could, using soft words and stories of how nice it must be where she went- but the boy still couldn't understand.
How could anything just... stop moving? Stop breathing? It had been a wolf attack, a rusty-coated monster during the night. The old dappled stallion that served as Gabriel's mount had been in his own stable, fast asleep. When the attack happened it was his cries and heavy hooves on the stable door that had roused the elf and the infant. Gabriel had told Gillian to stay where he was- taking his bow with him and moving outside. When the elf came back he had returned with two less arrows in his quiver and a grave expression on his face.
Pulling on his lip, Gillian looked to the flowers he held in his clutched hand, still wet from the rain that morning. "...bye....", he said softly, laying them onto the mound.

It was a coinsidence that he had run across the place, run across Gil. He was out for a walk gathering more herbs for the potions that he was testing out and he had see the boy standing there, looking a bit lost. He tilted his head to the side before slinging his back over his shoulder and started towards the little Sin'aeis boy, "Gil?" He called as he got close enough, was he ok? Had something happened?
Yukito paused as he got to the boy's side and it became a little more clear seeing the fresh mound of earth, someone had passed away? He knelt down next to the boy, eyes going a little wide. He wondered who it was, what had happened. Oh... Poor Gil he thought looking over at the boy.

"...Yuki." He said quietly, moving a hand up to clear something from his eyes. He didn't understand any of this. No one could explain it right- why was Ai-Hawa in the ground? Was she a seed? Would she come back? Why...
He looked over to the older Sin, not even trying to smile as he normally did. His eyes were puffy and red from crying but he couldn't make any more tears for the moment, "She...not moving. All red when... I looked."

Yukito's eyes widened a little bit then he wrapped his arms around him, "Ahh. I see, I'm sorry Gil." He murmured hugging his friend he wondered what happened? All red meant blood he was guessing. Not something that was good for a little kid to see. Gil was so little so dealing with this sort of thing was no doubt difficult wasn't it?
Yuki drew back then and went digging into his back and took out a envelope and opened it up, sprinkling the contents on the mound of dirt, "These are flower seeds." He told Gil.

"Flowers...", He pointed to the little bit of plants he had gotten together from Gabriel's garden. He knew the flowers wouldn't grow if they picked them, but Gabriel said that it was a nice thing to do. "...like Yuki is a flower." He recalled the whole flower talk quite well, having done a few finger paintings of Yuki all now seemed to include the boy with or as a flower.
The seeds were so small- and looked nothing like flowers. He bent down to pick one up and inspect it, rubbing his eye off on a shoulder to clear the slight fog from it. "...it's... not a flower."

"Like Yuki is, yes." He said with a little smile then watched as Gil picked up one of the seeds, "Think of that as a baby flower. Time and love makes it go from a baby flower called a seed into a grown flower. They make more seeds and before you know it you have a whole huge family of flowers growing." He told him with a smile, "The sun and rain will help them to grown up big and strong."
He moved some of the dirt over the seeds, "Its a good way to honor your loved one." Flowers represented so many things for so many occasions he had learned.

"Will Ai-Hawa grow too?" He looked up to Yuki, still holding onto the seed very, very carefully in his fingers, "...she needs love and sun?" That would be splended! He could make sure that he'd come there and hug the dirt pile or read to it- or try to... he hadn't gotten that down yet. But that's what Gabriel did for him at night. Then when the sun came up he could put water on it so she'd grow back.
The logic was simpl to him, and made sense at that age. He didn't know where babies came from- nor was he about to find out. Gabriel had been careful to avoid the subject.

"She is here and she will help you to make sure the flowers grow." He said then looked over at Gil, "And you never know. She may come back but you need to remember that it may not be in the same form. When things are reborn sometimes they come back as other things." He wasn't sure what Ai-Hawa was to begin with but according to a book he had read being reborn didn't mean you were gonna be what you were when you passed away.

"She....is in the ground to make them grow." He nodded, that seemed like a good enough answer for him. He wiped at his eyes again, bending down to put the seed with the others. "She was a pretty horsie... makes pretty flowers then." He nodded, quite sure that's what she'd do then. Yuki didn't lie- no one did.
Taking a deep breath he looked over to the older Sin, clumslily getting himself back to his feet and waddling over to grab Yuki's tail, using it to balance himself, "Will I grow too?"
He was little- half the size of the other sins as a baby and Gabriel was sure he'd be half their size for the rest of his life- unless, of course, he counted the dangerous horns on the boy's head.

Yuki smiled and nodded his head, "Of course you will grow too." He said scooping him up to give him a hug, "Maybe you just need more sun and loving too?" He said, "Its a little cloudy so the sun isn't able to shine down on you but I can give you huggings to help with the other part."

He smiled, hugging Yuki as tight as he could manage. He was so sad, he didn't understand why but he still was sad. Everything seemed so gray now, Gabriel was pretty sad too- he felt bad that he had to work that day too. He'd asked Gillian to be good, knowing the boy wouldn't leave the grounds of the manner. "Thank you...", he said quietly, his voice craking again. The thought of his horse would cause more tears for at least a week or so. It was hard to look at her stable and not see her there, not know she was there- but gone. Gone....

Yukito nodded, "Your welcome Gil, if you need anything feel free to just ask alright? I want to be there for you, to help you out in any way that you may need." He wanted to do the same for all of the Sin'aeis if they needed, "You want me to accompany you back to your house or would you rather stay here for a while longer?"
