This is the outside training area of Squad 7. It is used for kidou and actual combat situations.
Rules:
No OOC argueing
No Autohitting or Godmodding
Limited Cursing
Any member of any squad can be here, so don't be rude.

Arata walked into the outside training grounds with a determine look. He then unsheathed his zanpacto and began to examine it. Arata didn't usually use weapons so he needed to get used to it.
"Ok, what should I do first?" He asked himself.

Arata gave the sword an experimental swing and found that it was much easier to swing than he thought and it felt natural. Maybe he was naturally talented with a sword like he was with his fists?
"Ok, time to practice." Arata then began to rapidly swing his zanpacto in multiple combinations. After only a minute of this he got tired. Of course he had been rapidly swinging a sword at air but he shouldn't have gotten tired so fast.
"Damn..." He mumbled as he sat down on the ground.

A few seconds after sitting down Arata stood back up and began slashing the air again. It felt good to swing a sword.
"I should have taken this up when I was alive." Arata said to himself as he spun himself and performed a vertical slash with a lot of momentum behind it. Stopping the sword a few inches from the ground he then slashed upward.
This time he managed to do this for a minute and a half before sitting down on the ground again.
"That's tiring." He mumbled.

Arata continued this for two hours, always improving how long he could continually slash. Eventually he could slash and hack at the air for a full seven minutes. Now he was sitting on the ground again.
"I think...I'm done." Arata told himself as he stood up and sheathed his sword. Arata turned around and walked out of the training field.

Arata walked into the training grounds with a determined look. Reaching behind his head and grabbing the handle of his zanpacto, Arata quickly unsheathed it and swung it out in front of him.
Determine to make sure he deserved the Sixth Seat of Squad Seven, Arata once again began to rapidly slash the air from every angle. He swung the sword diagonally, horizontally, vertically, and every angle inbetween.
After about eight minutes of this Arata began to slow down but quickly gained his speed back when he noticed he had begun to slow. He was tired but he was determined to reach ten minutes.

Arata was at nine minutes now. Just one more minute and he would reach his goal. He began to increase the speed of his slashes. For the final minutes he wanted to give his all.
Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one! Arata finally stopped slashing at the air. His arms felt like Jelly which made him feel disgusted with himself. He plopped himself down on the ground. Ten minutes was a relatively long time but he shouldn't be so tired.
He got up to start training again but then he got an idea. He had totally forgotten about Kidou. He doesn't know any kidou so he should learn it. He needed to find the lieutenant. He could teach him.
Arata quickly ran out of the training field in search of Squad Seven's Vice Captain.

Yamoto appears in the middle of the field. "This is really getting nostalgic" Yamoto puts his hand to the ground. 5 dummies appears lined up next to each other. "God I really love using that techinque."

Arata entered the training field. He was out of breath because of running the whole way but he was trying really hard not to show it as he began to regain his breath. He walked over to stand a few feet away from Yamoto.

"ah good your high let's get started. The key to kidou is reiatsu control and knowing the spell name." Yamoto holds up two fingers and points them at a wooden dummy. "Reiatsu control is the main ingredient to much it will explode to littleit will not even fire. Reiatsu could be seen around Yamoto's two fingers. "Hadou 4 white lightning." The lightning shoots out of Yamoto's finger tips. Instants later there was a large hole in the middle of the dummies chest. "That is the basics so why on't you give it a try."

"You mean you want me to try Hadou 4: White Lightening?" Arata asked Yamoto, astounded that he wanted him to try a hadou that, with Arata trying to do it, had a high chance of explosion.

"It is one of the more basic, plus it is one of the more deadly. Just concentrate you have to have very poor reiatsu control for a spell to blow up on you. Aim for a vital."

"Ok." Arata said as he extended his hand out in front of him with just his index and middle finger extended. He grabbed onto his bicep with his left hand to steady his arm. "Hadou 4: White Lightning." A lightning bolt shot out of Arata's fingertips and hit one of the dummies on the right side of its head. A moment later Arata was trying to contain his excitment but failed.
"I DID IT!" Arata shouted and threw his fist in the air triumphantly, making himself look like a doofus.

"Very good. That is the basics of kidou." Yamoto gives a book to Arata. "Here is a list of kidou your are allowed to use (1-40) This also include Bakudo. Study this and you will be an expert of kidou. If you have any question ask me or any other official kidou instructer."
