BATTLEFIELD! GO!
A large screen towered over the stadium. A spinner with twelve different battle field locations displayed on the screen, waiting to be choosen. One of the trainers jumps to the control room and presses a big green button to start up the spinner. The screenshots of each battlefield light up as they are passed by the spinner. Finally, the light stops on...
The Grass Field
The breeze from the stadium air conditioners rustled the flat grassland arena, sending small clouds of harmless pollen into the air. The land is completely flat, making manuverability easy to those build to walk on land.

The breeze caught Jenette's hair as she entered the stadium. "Another day, Another battle, eh Venna?" She said as she gave her vulpix a gentle squeeze. This was one pokemon she didn't like keeping in a pokeball, she always wanted a friend out. "Ready to win?" She said with a grin as she set the vulpix on the railing.
"Vuull!" she barked, her tails swaying as she jumped to the field. The grass was going to be a nice battle field, no special elements and no water. Ick. Water.

Taking in of fresh air, Lock seem quiet content as he walked towards the trainer box, follow closely by the blind Persian. They both seem happy to get an easy field, no tumbling rock towers, or deep pools. Nope, just a simple grass field. "Well..go on, Faraon."
The large persian jumped over the railing with ease and grace, landing onto field. He turned his head, sniffing for the other pokemon. "Perrrrr....."

"Since we got such a simple pleasant field, why don't we start we a simple direct attack, Faraon? Bite." Lock smiled gently.
The feline let out a soft purr of agreement. Faraon locked on the vulpix and dashed towards her. At pouncing distance, he leaped at her, his jaws wide open to strike. [1000/1000]

"Quick Attack Venna!" Jenette called from her platform. The battle had barely started but the adrenaline was caorsing through her. They could win this one... but they would have to try.
The vulpix sprinted out of the way of the persian and began to run circles around him. After a few rounds she ran at him from behind.

"oooh...that hurt....his ego." Lock chuckled as he looked away for a moment.
The persian yowled when hit so powerfully. He had to admit he had foolishly underestimated the vulpix, it wasn't ego, after all, he had lost half the battles he had attended. He had just been feeling good lately and it had gotten to his head.
"Lets try this again, Faraon" Lock chuckled again before he called out. "Power Gem."
Faraon locked onto the vulpix again as the glow of his forehead gem increased and then it suddenly drain and the Persian open his mouth, letting out the beam attack in the pokemon's direction. [800/1000]

"Move it!" Jenette shouted, a little relieved at the other trainer's good humor. The last pokemon that took Venna lightly... didn't end up so well.
Venna had barely gotten away from the persian when the beam was sent her way. She attempted to leap into the air to dodge it but the beam caught a couple of her tails and her hind legs. She came down with a wince and limped a couple more feet away.
"Keep the distance V! Give him your Fire Spin!" She was getting into this... but she hoped Venna wasn't hurting to bad after that attack.
The vulpix was relieved to not hae to run this time. Opening her mouth it was only seconds before a string of fire began spinning into a fiery vortex. The twister was on its way towards the persian, burning everything in its path.

"Faraon! Watch out-" And too late....
Faraon yowled againas he broke off the voxtex, several parts of his pelt singe by the fire. He let out a low hiss from the pain.
"Shadow ball." Lock called out suddenly, a long range attack seemed perfeable at the moment.
The persian open his mouth and spit out a dark ghostly ball towards the vulpix. [600/1000]

"Watch it V! Coming at 'cha!" Jenette called, pointing at the attack, a lot of help that would do.
Venna saw the ball almost too late. She did a barrel roll to the right, the attack grazing her side.
"Get up there and nail him with a flamethrower!" Her voice would be getting hoarse if she kept yelling like this.
Venna pulled out of her rolling to jump up and start running towards the persian. As she closed the distance she opened her mouth and another string of fire was shot at the opposing pokemon.

Faraon hissed and rolled out of the attack's way, getting more fur singe in his side, the skin under the glossy fur was starting to redden and become irritated by the high heat.
"Giga Impact Faraon!" Lock called out to the persian, who look too disturbed to bother looking for the vulpix.
The persian reared up and suddenly slamed his front paws down, sending the pulse of power all around him.

Venna was too close to the persian when he attacked that she got the worst of the tremors. She shook up and down with the power that rolled in waves away from him. Once the power seemed to decline enough that she could hold still, her whole body was shaking.
"Ouch.." Jenette winced when she saw Venna stumbling around. "Confuse ray!" She hoped that this would work it was a 50/50 chance of not taking effect at all and she was forsaking an attack in hopes of this working.
Venna took another minute or so to stable herself before a dark energy began to form around her muzzle. Once the charge was finished a dark beam shot out at the persian.

"Dodge it, Faraon."
Faraon leaped out of the way.
"Now, Giga impact again!"
Faraon landed on the ground, using the force of all four of his paws this time on the attack, making the ground crack under him.

"Dang it!" Jenette cursed as she slammed her fist on the railing of her pen. "Watch it V!" She said desperately as she saw her vulpix get caught off gaurd.
As he sent the attack her way again she was launched back several feet. Struggling to get up she winced but held herself.
"Fire Spin! Again!" her voice cracking, as her heart lept to her throat.
Venna opened her mouth a short the spirling tower of fire his way.

Faraon yowled as he was graze by the attack while he was moving out of the way. He started to run around the attack and towards the vulpix.
"...?" Lock tilted his head, then shurgged. "Ooookay...Bite."
The persian lunged forward at the smaller pokemon, jaws open. [400/1000]
