WE BE RANDOMIZING UP OUR FIELD NAO ;O
A large screen towered over the stadium. A spinner with twelve different battle field locations displayed on the screen, waiting to be choosen. One of the trainers jumps to the control room and presses a big green button to start up the spinner. The screenshots of each battlefield light up as they are passed by the spinner. Finally, the light stops on a picture of a tombstone...
THE GRAVEYARD FIELD
The stadium ceiling is shut tight in the particular field selection, covering the entire inner area of the stadium in a veil of pure darkness; one that even the Flash technique cannot break through. Grave stones of various types (ranging from crosses to a sculpture of the deceased) were scattered across the lifeless soil; some were still whole while many stood broken and unattended. Near the northern end of the battle field, a single withered tree stands hunched over as though in constant mourning of those who rest for eternity here. A dense fog weaves in and out of the headstones and hinders vision even more. The fog itself seems damp and heavy, like the tears of the living mourning for the lost.

 Kayla slowly walked up to the plateform, her arms wrapped around her as goosebumps started to crawl all over her arms. The hairs on the back of her neck stood up as she looked around her. She was facing a large graveyard battle field. It was dark and overgrown with tombstones and crosses. A heavy fog made the field all the more spooky and harder to see. Kayla could even make out skulls of deceased pokemon and humans along with scattered bones.
'I hate graveyards.' Kayla muttered to herself. Grinch and Adira might be more at home here than Quintrell and her will ever be.
When she looked passed the horrible graveyard arena, she saw Luna standing at her end of field.
Kayla shook her head to snap out of her fear and put all her attention onto the battle. It's just a battle field...not the real thing.
Breathing in deeply, Kayla reopened her eyes with renew determination to win, even though the odds are against her with an oppoent that is truely well-seasoned trainer.
Kayla shouted as she reached behind her to grab her three pokeballs,her smirk well in placed. "You ready to get your face creamed by a rookie, Luna?" she taunted.

Luna grinned at the new trainer's spirit. "You wish!" She replied, stepping up to her trainer platform with confidence. She really did love being challenged.
Putting a hand on the railing of the platform, the trainer looked out over the field: the only field that she had never landed on before. The field gave a chilling air that dampened her spirit a bit, but she pushed away the feeling in moments. She had to concentrate on enjoying the battle, not mourning for the dead.
"Well then, shall we start?" Luna asked, grabbing a pokeball from her pocket. Her grin grew wider. The battle was about to commence.

Kayla smiled as Luna reached into her pockets to get one of her pokeballs, not knowing which pokemon will face her in her first ever pokemon battle. She was nervous but excited all the same. Well there's only one way to find out who is top dog or more like top pokemon trainer today.
"Show me your worse!" Kayla taunted while in the back of her mind, she fears that she may have dug herself her own grave in this graveyard.

Luna smirked. "Alright then...com'mon out!" Luna said, enlarging one of her pokeballs and throwing it onto the field. The pokeball opened, releasing a white ray of light that formed into a ninetales, sitting down and undisturbed by her surroundings. She was too familiar with death.
With it's job done, the ball retreated to Luna's hand because of the recoil of releasing the pokemon. The trainer's grin widened.
"Nine! Natural gift!" Luna ordered, having a good idea what Kayla's pokemon were. She knew all of them were weak towards fighting moves and was planning to exploit that to the fullest.
The salac berry arround Nine's neck began to glow as the pokemon calmly waited for her opponent to appear so she could dash towards the new pokemon and whip it with her tail.
(Salac berry + Natural gift = Fighting type move)

Kayla watched as ninetails appeared, who was given the command of 'Natural gift' by Luna. This will be a tough battle. Luna has no intention of letting up just because she was 'fresh meat' as more experienced trainers would call them. However, she cannot let it get to her. There is a slight chance she could win this, if only luck was on her side.
"Let's show them what we are made of, Grinch!" Kayla expanded Grinch's pokeball and tossed it up high into the air. The pokeball opened and released a shiny cubone, with red markings on its skull, onto the playing field by an olive green ray of light to match its fur.
Grinch was also not disturbed by his surroundings, as he started bouncing on his hunches, banging his bone club onto the grave floor for he was quite anxious to battle. Grinch would often look for more stronger bones in such places like a graveyard.
"Grinch! Watch out!" Kayla shouted as ninetails ran at Grinch to do some damage.
A moment too late, Grinch was flung back by the attack. Fortunately, it didn't cause too much damage because after the attack stopped, Grinch came back on it's feet, angry and tense; ready for an order for some payback.
"Grinch, let's counter attack with Bone Club!" Kayla ordered. "Cubone, bone, bone!" Grinch raced towards the ninetails and launch his attack.
Kayla hopes that it's a direct hit...

"Get ready for it..." The trainer was not planning to move till the last minute. Nine stood still, watching the charging cubone carefully with her red eyes. When the cubone was within a feet, both trainer and pokemon felt it was time to make a dodge.
The ninetales jumped up into the air, missing the full brunt of the attack but getting whacked slightly on her front left paw. It didn't matter much to her. Doing a flip over the pokemon, Nine landed behind Grinch.
'Almost perfect.' Luna thought to herself, proud of her pokemon. Nine was quite the acrobatic now.
"Energy ball!" She ordered, remembering how effective the attack was in her battle against Pippeh's cubone, Jadiev. hopefully it would be in this battle too.

Kayle appreicated seeing the ninetails that's so graceful even if most of Grinch's attack didn't do as much damage as both had hoped but it was enough for now.
However, both trainer and pokemon did not have time to congratuate themselves for their first successful attack when ninetails launched into another attack. Kayla decided to take Luna's example to her advantage.
Grinch, it seemed, knew what his trainer was thinking for he simply glanced back at her for a brief moment to confirm.
Kayla nodded then both looking back at their opponent. When the energy ball was starting to getting too close for comfort, Kayla shouted her command. "Now! Use Dig and attack from underneath!"
Grinch took a dive underground but wasn't quick enough. The energy ball skived along the cubone's back and tail, leaving a burn-like wound before Grinch simply disappeared from the playing field.
There was silence.
Kayla waited for the right moment, knowing Grinch was preparing his attack.
Then, Kayla stomped her foot, which caused a chain reaction of Grinch lunging out from under the graveyard soil where ninetails should be...

Luna grinned when she saw the cubone was underground. This means they could prepare their own attack as well. Right after Kayla ordered dig, she ordered her own attack. "Prepare THAT attack Nine!" She ordered. By "that" attack, she meant solar beam, and it would take a bit longer to charge due to the darkness of the graveyard. That was why the trainer was so thankful of the time the cubone was providing her.
Then, Grinch broke ground. "Nine, MOVE!" Luna ordered.
Nine nimbly hopped out of the cubone's way once more, only getting hit on her hind paw this time.
"SOLAR BEAM!"
The ninetales faced the cubone and quickly fired off a large beam of concentrated sunlight at the skull pokemon.

Kayla was smirking when Grinch came out but frowned the next moment when it didn't do as much damage as she had hoped....again.
Her frown soon formed into a shocked expression as ninetails suddenly releasing a solarbeam!
"What the f--! GRINCH, RETURN!!" Kayla screamed as she called back Grinch. How in the hell did the ninetails know solarbeam!?
Before the solarbeam could form, Grinch was soon safe inside his pokeball. However, Kayla did not have time to take in a breath of relief. She had to send out a pokemon to take the hit. Adira would not do any better than Grinch with a grass attack. So that leaves only one other option.
"Quin! Come on out and brace yourself!" Kayla shouted as she threw in a pokeball that erupted in a swirl of green and red to form an eevee.
Quintrell came out ready for an attack but what, he did not know until the gi-normous beam of light took a direct hit at Quin.
Quintrell, skided and almost rolled so far back that he almost slammed back into the platform. Forunately, it wasn't so bad because Quin got up onto his feet the next instant if not a bit out of breath.
Relieved that Grinch managed to escape back into his pokeball, safe from such an attack and that Quin was still up for a fight, waiting for ninetails to make its move. Both trainer and pokemon was almost positive that the next attack will be a fighting move...somehow.
This ninetails is just full of unpleasant surprises...Quote: Grinch - 500/800 Quintrell - 600/800 --disregard the dice roll for I did not know you cannot switch and attack at the same time. Blah...

Nine stood again, looking at the eevee with her piercing red eyes. She had never seen an opponent switch in battle before, but it didn't matter. She would beat them all.
Luna smirked. Kayla wanted to switch he rpokemon? That was fine with her, Nine still had one move that could be super effective against Eevee and switching was like giving her a free turn to land another super effective hit. "NINE! Natural gift!"
Ninetales rushed forward towards the eevee, her berry and tails both glowing simultanously. Within a few feet of the eevee, Nine did another flip in the air before bashing her tails down at Qintrell.

((Yes, even though natural gift is a one time move, I can abuse it as much as I want until the battle system includes move limitations xD ))

Just as Kayla and Quin predicted, Luna ordered ninetails to attack with Natural gift that was now a fighting-type move. But hopefully, she got this one in the bag.
"Show them what you got, Quin! Dodge it and attack with Dig!" Kayla ordered.
Quin waited until Nine came close enough before he went underground. As lady-luck finally decided to give them a break, Quintrell managed to dodge the attack by mere milliseconds. Kayla knew it didn't work so well with Grinch which gave the ninetails the chance to charge up with a grass moves but 'Dig' seems to work wonders with Quin.
"Great job! Go for it!" Kayla ordered.
At her command, Quin did not waste any time making the opponent wait for him to show up. He went straight for the kill and attacked the ninetails. Quote: Grinch - 500/800 Quintrell - 600/800
