The face reflected in the smooth, polished mirror: unsmiling, haunted. Old.
Gone was the mop of unruly curls, which defied to be tamed by any comb or brush, or hidden by any trilby. Now, his scarlet hat sat perfectly atop his wizened head, hiding much shorter, whiter hair.
His mouth drooped slightly at the edges, him having not smiled for what seemed like centuries, and wrinkles lurked around his eyes, creeping like vines, spreading with every day that passed.
In fact, his eyes were the only unchanged feature. Alarmingly blue, hinting at much, much more than what was on show. Eyes which had seen millennia of events, and countless galaxies.
Tearing himself away from the ghastly reflection, the man left the room, returning to his beloved console chamber.
Even despite his age, he was an imposing figure: Tall, dressed entirely in deep scarlet clothes, with a long scarf wrapped around him, as if for comfort...
He pushed a button next to the monitor screen on his ships' console, telling it to materialize in the middle of a star system, suspended in space, unmoving. It was the only way he'd find time to rest properly.
"I'm getting far too old for this now," the Doctor muttered, remembering a time when he used to leap out of the TARDIS, munching on jelly babies and thwarting megalomaniacs with sheer joy.
His voice was still as deep and rich as it once was, but it was cracked slightly, charred with age.
As the TARDIS floated silently between the stars, the Time Lord left the Gothic chamber and sank into a corridor, footsteps echoing hollowly as he searched for his destination.
Alone.

that was nice. I like the descriptions. That's probablly what he'd look like anyway... Though, you know what? I'd like a re-write of some of the stuff later doctors have been through, only with Tom Baker instead of whichever Doctor did them.
...my only question is...if 4 never regenerated...what happened to Perri?
