Rika and Akasaka
Okay, hear me out on this one. First of all, I'm not talking about currently. I'm talking about in a fic that would take place 20 years down the line. Rika maybe in her early twenties and Akasaka in his late 40s (That's not as rare as some people think). I don't think that Rika could get into a relationship with anyone else, but I could see her in theory falling in love with the man that saved her. Besides that, there's something sweet about the idea that after five years, he still remembered and came back to save her. Of course, they might have a relationship that's too pure for romance. The big problem with it that I can't find a way around is that he's married. I've never been a big fan of killing off a character just because she gets in the way of a favorite coupling. *sigh* cry But here's one thing I'll say about Rika - I don't think she would ever get into a romantic relationship with anyone besides Akasaka. I think she's lived through too much. Of course, Akasaka might not be an exception to that rule. I don't know. I just thought I'd bring up this idea and see what other people think
