((Note: This RP takes place after his drum quest ))
He lay in the sunshine weeping.
People had tried to encourage him, tried to lift his spirits but this time it hadn’t worked. Nothing would help ease the sorrow of his failure. Because now he knew he’d never know the love of music, not like his family, not like his friends.
The tears trembled down the side of his nose as he lay on the grass, limp and weak. He felt as if he didn’t have the strength to go on, to face a silent and lonely life where the birds mocked him with their beautiful songs and the pride underwent the ceremonies that he desired to be a part of.
Where was the music? Where was it hiding?
He’d looked everywhere, in every place, but nothing was right. He knew it was all around him, but he couldn’t find the one tune that was right for him, the tune that made up his heart. It kept evading him, slipping away before he could grasp it. And now he was too disheartened to continue looking.
He wiped the side of his face with a paw and tried to muffle the sound of a hiccup.

She hadn't been in particularly high spirits that morning either. When she came across someone who felt the way she did this morning, she would try to help. Sometimes the result was... Rain.
It made her feel better.
If Nyesha noticed one thing, it was that when she was around others, when she was driven by their despair, frustration or hopelessness, it rained, but only if they made her feel the same emotion, through a story, an action. She had to be directly affected and aware of their mood. Sometimes it would rain because she wanted to, as she believed, in her eyes, it was a cleansing experience, and would help the other to move on emotionally.
Although, perhaps it was just rain.
The Goddess often lost herself in deep thoughts, regarding the natures of different creatures, their history, experience and opinions. She continued to wander through the lands, feeling the same dull ache of emotion rattle in her chest as the rain pounded a steady rhythm against the increasingly saturated ground.

An ear lifted.
What was that sound? It was a distant hissing sound, as if a herd of snakes were singing. It was an odd sound, but it intrigued him too and gave him enough of a distraction to momentarily forget that pang of uselessness and failure.
Whatever it was, it was...nice?
Kani'noe, the inspirationless drummer, stood and blinked his water-filled eyes around him. The land looked the same as it always did, pretty and quaint and peaceful. It was the reason why he loved it so much. Here there was no pain...no pain except for his feeling of terrible inability.
Maybe he didn't belong here.
The sound was growing closer and the youth turned slowly around, eyes widening when he saw another approaching him. She was not a colour he had ever seen, her pelt a pale, beautiful blue. From this distance he wasn't aware of how different she was, but he was intrigued. He'd never met anyone like her before.
Recently grown into adolescence Kani'noe was smaller than your average lion because of the leopard in his blood. But he was a simple, pretty creature and he had a good heart. His kindness alone enhanced his stature. But he was timid too and he shied away slightly.
That was until he realised what the sound was.
Rain.
He'd heard so much about it, but having been born at the tip of a terribley hot summer he had never seen it with his own eyes. It seemed to follow her as if by magic and the sound it made...
The sound it made was beautiful.
His little heart filled with wonder and before he could stop himself he was running towards her.
"Excuse me! Excuse me!" There was frantic wonder in his face.

Nye noticed a small lion approach her, and could see the despair and hopelessness in his eyes, the rain made her fur grow thick and heavy as it steadily fell from the sky. Her wide blue eyes danced over the strangers form and he headdress sparkled even more now it was wet. Crystalline wings fluttered for a moment as she was startled a smile crept onto her face. "Hello." Her words were gentle. "Is something wrong?". His small face looked terribly sad.

The rain drummed against his head, drummed against his back. It ran down the sides of his face and soaked the beginnings of his straggly mane. But he did not care. He could feel its rhythm against him, feel it as if he were the drum, not the lion beating it.
The rain had music and now it was filling him with hope.
And as he looked up into the face of the blue lioness he came to realise it was not just any lioness. She had wings, a beautiful face. A wonderful face. It melted his heart, had him trembling with nervous joy. He could have wept with the joy.
So he did.
The tears joined the rain as he moved towards her, peering up at her with something akin to thankfulness and longing.
"Not anymore." He whispered, hsi voice hoarse. "I found it. I found my inspiration. I found the rhythm...in the rain! Excuse me...um...who're you? I've not seen a lioness like you before." He swallowed nervously. "I'm...I'm Kani'noe."

She looked into his tearful face and felt a pang, but of joy and a rush of emotion that was unlike anything she had experienced before.
"Kani'noe.." She repeated his name slowly, as if to reassure him with the familiarity of it. Nodding her head to the male, she introduced herself. "I'm Nyesha..." She stopped there... Should she really reveal herself? She wasn't ashamed of her identity, but she didn't want to take the glory and beauty away from this moment.
The rhythm in the rain... It had happened again! She was familiar with the rhythm quests of this pride, and had helped a grey juvenile by the name of Sononeka find his rhythm within the rain, but perhaps she had just unintentionally done the same for Kani'noe?
She smiled. "There is alot of rhythm to be found in this world, but I agree, the rain is a plentiful source." Tears appeared in her eyes as she looked into his sweet little face.

"Nyesha. A pretty name." He replied. And it was. It was the most beautiful name he had ever heard and he would remember it for all time, for she had brought with her inspiration. She had awakened his heart.
He stepped towards her, forgetting to be shy in his awe-struck state. "The rain...it's...unlike anything I've ever heard. So rare and beautiful and...well, we couldn't live without water. It only makes sense that I can't play music without it."
He shook his head. "How can I ever thank you?"

"Thankyou.." She didn't know what else to say, she was truly humbled by the reaction of this young lion, and she was very very happy that someone else had managed to find as much joy in the rain as she did.
She decided to voice these thoughts and smiled gently. "Im so glad you feel that way, you see it has been a part of my life for so very long now, and I'm glad that it can inspire you. You don't ever need to thank me, as long as you are grateful for the rain."
It was a simple request, and yet a request some creatures had never followed. Some never realised the importance of her domain, and thought it a nuisance, and she could never understand that. Never.

"I will always be grateful." Kani'noe replied. His eyes were bright and full of admiration. This was his muse personified. He felt as if he'd discovered a part of himself that had been apart from him even at birth.
"Then, maybe one day you can come back and visit and I will play you a song that you and your rain inspired? It can be my gift to you in return." His tail swayed softly.
"Well, Nyesha, what do you say?"

She smiled broadly, still deeply touched that she could inspire such a sweet young cub. The idea of a song played for her, inspired by her very domain was a gift beyond imagination. She had been a great lover of music throughout alot of her past lives, it was one of the most distinctive things that stuck out, and one of the only things she could remember. "Of course Kani'noe..." She paused and looked from the sky to the small lion. "That would be truly wonderful."
And she was honest, she could think of no better way to be thanked.

And with his gift accepted, the pale child who had once been empty and now was full, extended his forepaws and bowed his head to the female before him.
"Then we'll meet again."
And with that, he shot her one last smile and turned to move away, calling back over his shoulder one last thanks.
She was a miracle and he knew he would never forget this day.

The smile on the blue lionesses face could not have been wiped off even if someone tried to intentionally do so. She was so ahppy that she was making a difference in a life, especially such a young one that could be used so positively. She looked foward to the day where they would meet again, and she would be able to hear his song and now that she had inspired him, that the thing she loved most, the rain, had inspired a young heart. Nye flushed slightly, she didn't know if it was vanity to find pleasure in such pride, but she couldn't help herself, as she watched the young lion bound away back to his home, she wondered just what would become of him. She would have to visit and see how he grew...
With those thoughts in her head, and the pride still swollen warmly in her chest, she padded away from the land slowly, her large wings beating the air gently a few times before she ascended into the clear blue sky ((End))
