Name's zeejay but please call me by z.j.. I'm still a newbie on GAIA (5 days) but not on online forums.

I joined this guild because of two word: manga and games. So I thought, "Hey, this looks cool" So, I came and found out that this guild is dying?! Well, I'm not gonna stand around and do nothin'. I already put up several posts with helpful tips. I think it's in Matter of Life or Dead thread.

Also, I happen to be a founder of a club at one forum. It was dying but ever since I created the club and while I was there, the forum was buzzing with active members (no kidding).

The club is called The Annoying Group Club. Link here: http://www.squareforums.com/showthread.php?t=88441&page=56

How does this help the guild? Look at the posts made there. It was made from 5-26-2007 - a whole year! Yes, while it went paused for several months but I was surprised it was still there after I came back from a hiatus (because of internet connections). Usually a thread that's inactive for several months will be deleted. This one stands!

If you read the posts there, it maybe random but it was brimming with activity. Members feel like they got involved. They got special avys and sigs and sometimes ranks. I also personally give some gifts to those who are active through e-mail.

This July, I'm making a comeback there and start a project to save the forum. What's does this have to do with G.A.M.M., you say? Basically, I wanna inspire y'all how to stand for a year.

The A.G. Club's success that outdone every thread club ever created there (in a sub-forum for spammers) should be an example.

The guild's just've been created 2 months ago right? Here are the points to be long running and successful:

1) Advertise in a very unique way -
You guys got broadband, right? Well, try to advertise this guild at free social sites like MySpace (along with that, you'll advertise GaiaOnline as well), use videos in YouTube, talk with your friends, tell 'em all about it.

2) More features -
What do the guild offers what the others can't? Try to do features that outdo the others

3) Constant communication -
Once you got members, talk to them. Don't make 'em stay like that. PM them. MSN them. Be friends and strengthen your friendships. You might just be surprised who will be on the other side of the screen. It might be a successful person!

4) Be respected -
Respect others and you'll be respected. This can keep not only guild but you from falling off on the wrong foot.

Trust me, this can really help in order to survive. How do I know all this? In real life, I'm a business apprentice for my family's business so I was trained with strict discipline rules and experiences.

So, that's from me. A guild member who wanted to help.

PEACE and ROCK! m/

Thanks. So spread the word. Discuss this with the owner and mods. Consider my suggestions like making a ever growing manga based on G.A.M.M. members.

One idea: If the manga idea came through, do a drawing contest. This is for to select artists who would contribute to G.A.M.M.. I think it' best to pay them by gold and items. That'll keep 'em on. I suggest every episode will be drawn by different G.A.M.M. artist so it'll never be boring.

I'll help out again.

1: Well Ikenobo and I do a lot of adevtising. It's just, gaia has a TOS that sorta limits us to ad. a lot. So were only allowed to ad. In the chatterbox, which sucks cause only people go there for gold.
2: I don't know what it offers that others don't. =_=
3: I do keep in touch w/ my members. I use to send out annoyments and crap like that. Only thing is, they tended to get sick of it.
4: rofl I'm sorta of a b***h. So being a nice captain is a bit hard.
Also, about the give-a-ways. Thats really hard. Sometimes I have to do the give-a-ways by myself. And I don't make the gold alone. I'm about to open a give-a-way help donation thingy.
Anyways, Hello Z.J
we resepect you dearly.

lol Square Forums has the same say like this and guess what? The A.G. Club's is still continuing it's success. Ever heard of 'bending the rules'? That's how successful business people made success. They take risks - necessary, alrite? Not unnecessary ones. They don't fight battles they know they can't win.

1. C'mon, not even a word of mouth? You got friends right? Talk to 'em. Tell 'em EVERYTHING about this guild on GaiaOnline. I'm sure the boss at Gaia would not disagree.

2. Check the other guilds. What do they offer? Can you do something they don't?

3. Don't PM them crap. Announcements is okay because it's important. Chat something that's interesting to them. Don't chat nonsense, nobody likes that. Respect their opinions and you'll be surprise what responses you'll get!

4. Don't belittled yourself and don't say you can't do a thing, have confidence and courage. Take pride in your job, you have responsibilities now. People will look up to you.

As for giveaways, when I said I give gifts to my members via e-mail, I don't mean Gaia stuffs, I mean gifts like my drawings. And can I suggest something? People won't donate if they don't see anything interesting so be creative (and nice, too!). 3nodding

And hello, nice to meet you, Kiki (your username's long).

TIP: Try to love learning things. God created the world to be interesting. You might not know what you can find. biggrin

Ask Ikenobo what happened when he took risks.
1: I do....Most of the MOD's are my gaia friends.
3: I don't P.M them crap. I just say hi so on so forth....

Its ok, Kiki or Ren. Which ever is best.

1. Other than mods? But it's good so far. At least you know the rules just a bit more. Try to get more friends.

3. *Ahem* I was just saying....

Awesome, Kiki.

Then tell 'em about the guild you're in! Convince them to join and get involved! I don't think it'll break ToS. Just don't try to do it obviously.
