I would think so, considering the Juno reference.

hm...If they willingly went to bed and didn't use protection, they should keep the child. At least give them up for adoption, if they feel the child won't have a better life.

But, otherwise, if your options are give the baby up or live on the streets, or you were raped or something, I can't really argue with that.

I agree with Dark. If you don't use protection then the baby should live as a punishment and if you are incapable of providing for its needs then give it up for adoption.

But if it is due to a rape then you should be allowed to have the abortion because it wasn't your fault and thus shouldn't have to go through with it. Besides, who would want the painful remind of that attack everytime they look at their beloved child?

I believe that abortion is cruel, but here's the thing. What happens if a girl is raped or molested, and then she conceives? Is it so wrong for her to get an abortion? If she was forced or tricked into having sex, I believe that it is her right. I mean, I was molested by my father. If I had gotten pregnant that way, I honestly wouldn't have kept it. That may sound wrong, but just put yourself in that position. On the other hand, if two were to have sex, both agreeing to it, then I think that it'd be wrong to have an abortion....

I agree I think there are circumstances in which abortion is alright. Say a twelve year old gets raped, and pregnant? Or if the baby isn't going to live, and the birth will kill the mother any? [My Aunt is like that. None of her children could fully develop and the complications would have killed her.]

However if you went and had sex, and got knocked up. I think you should own up and take responsibility. But then again I'm not the one carrying around the child for 9 months, or climbing up on that table to get it aborted.

I am pro choice in that matter, abortion should be legal no matter how you feel. ^^ Even if that wasn't part of the discussion. ^^

I think that there are some thinges morally wrong with having an abortion.
However, I think making it illegal is not going to solve anything.

People will have abortions, whether its illegal or illegal.
The question is, do you want to have teens shot for sneaking to a back alley place?

Do you want them getting into those places, and getting all sorts of problems from the foul items used?

Or would you rather put restraints on it, make it illegal, and have them paying the goverment money and coming into a nice clean place to get it done?

Its not morally right. But as a question of legallity is very different from one of religion and opinion.

It should be legal.
But it should also be controlled.

This might not be entirely appropriate, but its going to be said anyway while we have wandered into the topic of Rapists.

Rapists are people who need to be controled, by the goverment, for the well being of the rest of the citizens who have been following the laws.
Thats what laws are for any way, and jails too.
To protect the society as a whole.

Rapists are allowed far to much freedom in my country.
And I hate it. Personally, I think they should do something to them that they do in China.

They don't cut it off. And they don't kill them.

But they put a glass rod into it.
And then smash it with a hammer.

So that every time he goes to the bath room, or tries to get "Excited" It hurts dreadfully.

All rapists get warned the first time, and I think charged some sort of tax.
Second time?

Boom.
Pain for the rest of his life.

Thrid time, I think its death.

China is not the best country in the world to look to for govermental example.
But because of their circumstances they have come up with a few things that should be respected and looked into.

They HAVE To control their population, and thus go about it with out caring about others feelings in sometimes brutal ways.
But in America, we care too much about hurting the rapists feelings and getting sued by out of control lawyers then we care about getting him away from other women.
