 "Stay at HOME?" Arin couldn't believe her mother. She thought that just because Arin wanted to breed pokemon for a living, that she was going to stick around that boring place. Arin laughed again, her eyes wide as she looked around the area. Not only did Arin despise staying at home, she also hated the idea of staying in a city for long periods of time. She really was a nature girl at the heart of it all. A huge grin plastered on her face, she made sure to stay somewhat slow so Hush could keep up- little legs didn't move very fast. She had discovered some little patch of woods near her parents home and had taken it upon herself to explore it throughly. Humming happily, she walked easily through the widely-spaced trees, Hush easily able to keep up due to the fairly clear ground. Looking around for a good spot to rest and eat, Arin heard the trickle of moving water. Curious, she moved towards the sound until she found a little creek with a small pool gathering in the middle. It looked almost deliberate, like a pokemon or human had made it. More likely the former. Though she was cautious of the wild pokemon, it didn't look like any were near and she figured this was a good place to stop. Smiling happily she sat down on a log nearby and started to dig around in her backpack.

At that time, a young trainer named Rei sat not far from the very same creek, back against a tree as she concentrated on her homework, which would need to be mailed off to her school soon. Pencil in hand, she doodled on the mathematics portion, little sketches of Pokemon and random shapes while her Cubone, Clyde, sat next to her, eyes closed and arms crossed in concentration. His tail was hidden behind him, as it often was, for he was terribly insecure about it, with his bone club wedged in between his arms.
After a few moments of silence had passed, Clyde's green eyes snapped open. Rei noticed and glanced down at him, to which he replied with a sharp "Cue!" The pointed white snout of his skull pointed towards the gurgling stream, several yards off, where the two could just barely make out the two figures standing near it.
"I'm sure it's fine, Clyde. What's gotten you so worked up?"
The Cubone sniffed at the air, curious at the scent of another Pokemon nearby, so familiar, yet different from his own.

Hush froze, turning her head suddenly as she scented a familiar pokemon. Another of her kind? Possibly. Wary as she was, however, she clambered into Arins arms, earning a strange look from her trainer.
"Hush, whats wrong?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. She put her bag back on and picked up Hush, walking towards the stream to see what had attracted her pokemons attention.
"Hey, anyone out there?" She asked, trying to spot either human or pokemon. She was a little worried, never having actually fought seriously. She didn't want to get hurt, or her pokemon to be hurt.

Rei looked up after the girl had called out into the forest, sighing a bit as she slid her notebook and pencils back into her messenger bag. She fastened the bag shut and stood up, stretching out with her arms to the sky.
Clyde stood up quickly and shuffled forward on all four legs, bone club in hand, closing in on Hush and Arin. Rei followed behind him with a leisurely stride, hands in the pockets of her jeans with her bag bouncing off of her from behind.
Clyde hopped into a bush right behind Arin and Hush, peering at them from his hiding spot while Rei came into view, glancing over at the trainer and her Cubone.
"Oh, a Cubone... well, sorry if we scared you. I was just doing my homework."

Arin turned around quickly, her hair whipping out and coming back to hit her in the face, causing her to splutter.
"Heh, its fine. Sorry we interrupted your homework- I was just worried it was a wild pokemon out to attack us."
Raising an eyebrow, Arin looked down into the bush were Clyde was hiding, not entirely able to see what he was.
"That your pokemon..?"
She asked, laughing a bit as she set Hush down, who held onto her club tightly as she leaned towards the bush.
"Cuuuu.." She said, cautiously.

"Oh," Rei shrugged lightly and smiled at Arin. "It's no big deal, I hate math anyway. My mom just threatens me that I'll have to come home if the distance schooling doesn't work out."
She blinked, glancing over to the bush Clyde had hidden himself in, with her hand clasped tightly around the strap of her messenger bag.
"Ahh, yes, he's mine. Clyde.. what are you doing?"
She wrinkled her nose and began to crouch down to retrieve him before the skittish Cubone poked his own bone club out of the bush and prodded at Hush's snout with it.
"Bone!"

Snorting a little, Hush took a step back before whipping her bone out and clashing it together with Clydes with a loud clack.
"Bone! Cubone cu." |Hey! Watch it.|
Arin giggled.
"Ah, well looks like they have met. Hush, play nice."
She said, surprised that she was even showing this much aggression. Apparently she didn't like getting poked on the nose.

Clyde went into battle mode as soon as the other Cubone responded, hopping out of the bush with his tail hidden behind him, bone club extended before him towards Hush.
At this, Rei scowled and furrowed her eyebrows, placing her hands on her hips in preparation to scold him.
"Clyde?! What are you doing! Does it look like we're battling to you? If you don't calm down and play nice, it's back into your Pokeball."
Clyde winced at his scolding, chancing a peek up at his trainer only to be met with a glare.
"Cu... cubone," |I'm... sorry,| he mumbled.
With his apology his arms had dropped to his sides, bone club partially on the ground as he looked off to the side in shame.
"Sorry about that. I don't know what's gotten into him. I guess he's never seen another Cubone before."
Rei sighed and shrugged a little.
