A large screen was located in the center of the stadium. A spinner with twelve different battle field locations were displayed on the screen. One of the trainers went up to the screen, and pressed the large red button controlling the spinner. Each location on the screen lit up as the spinner passed it by. Finally, the spinner stopped on...
The Seashore Field!
Split down the middle between land and sea, this field compliments land and water type pokemon. On the west end of the field is the land section: fine grained sand gradually slopes downward to meet the salt water on the east end of the battleground. A single palm tree wavers lightly in the breeze (the stadium ceiling is open when this field is selected) while shells are scattered in random places in and on the sand. In the water half of the battleground, the water laps at the sand much like at a real beach; when it retracts it leaves behind strands of seaweed and pieces of coral. Both are found under the water, offering shelter for water-types (or those who can hold their breath for great periods of times).

Lenne walked out onto the field, wearing her usual headphones, only around her neck, as well as her tote bag where she carried everything she could possibly need. "Oh man... water?! I was afraid of something like this... Oh well, at least I can enjoy it."
Obviously Clementine wouldn't be too fond of water herself, but the grass portion would be fine.
Lenne reached into the pocket of her tote bag, revealing a shining Luxury Ball that contained Clementine and released her onto the field. "Let's go Clemmy! Don't let the water bother you! We can still win this one!"
Now all they had to do was wait for their opponent to arrive.

Her first battle. Well, better sooner than later, really. Was Anakin up for this, though? Only time would tell. The teenager walked out onto the field, wrinkling her nose a little. Seashore field? She wasn't completely sure whether Anakin could swim or not, so perhaps it was best to just stay towards the land portion of the field. Reaching a hand down towards her belt, she plucked a single Pokeball fro it, releasing her Skitty with a smile.
"You ready, Anakin?"
"Skit!"
The Skitty mewed fondly in reply, hopping forwards towards the field, where he took a battle stance, in all honesty looking more cute than threatening. Mae smiled, waving to her opponent. Well, there was no use in the two fighting, now was there?

ic|| Mae took a deep breath, watching the field in front of her. A Cubone, eh? Well, Cubone wouldn't be able to go anywhere near water, due to their type, but she wasn't too sure that Anakin could swim, either. And to be honest, she'd rather not risk it, as a drowning Skitty would be a sitting duck and an incredibly easy target for that bone. Anakin managed what could be described as a cute growl, moving forwards a little, tail twitching in his anticipation for the battle ahead. Deciding to get started, Mae called out her first attack.
"Okay then, let's start with a Doubleslap!"
Straight away the small, cat-like Pokemon darted forwards, leaping clean into the air and doing a small backflip, so that his tail would now be the first thing to land on the Cubone below him. He began to wag the tail with speed in the Doubleslap attack, hoping to slap the Cubone across the face several times in quick succession.
"Skit!"

Clementine was prepared for the battle, and the attacking Skitty, so she easily avoided most of the double-slap attack and only got nicked by it for a second.
"Ah, perfect performance Clementine. We really need to work on your elegance in battle more, so we can win some competitions too." Lenne smiled at her pokemon, then looked across to the other trainer.
"And that Skitty is just too cute! You're very lucky to have one, miss. It's one of my favorite pokemon, and a perfect candidate for beauty competitions." Lenne was a little jealous at the other trainer having a Skitty, but she loved Clementine nonetheless. "Oh, my name is Lenne by the way, and this is Clementine."
Clementine looked up at the sound of her name, waiting to attack.
"Alright alright. Clementine, lets start this off with a Leer Attack! And make sure it looks good!"
Clementine, keeping Lenne's words in mind prepared to use leer. She posed for a second, then her eyes began to glow red, focusing on the skitty.
(You put -50Def in each of your posts from now on, and subtract and extra 50 HP from when I attack you.)

Anakin landed back on the ground, crouching a little so he could move at the slightest hint of an attack. Mae herself smiled - that Cubone had almost managed to dodge, but she was proud of her Skitty for just managing to catch the Cubone, if only for a second. As the othe trainer spoke, she flashed a grin, relaxing just for a second.
"Aww, thanks! I love your Cubone, too - they're adorable! I'm Mae, and this here is Anakin."
Anakin growled softly at the formalities, preferring to get back to the battle. Neither him nor Mae were expecting the Leer attack, however, Anakin skidding backwards a little, trying to get away from those freaky, glowing red eyes. He felt his defense dropping, but shook it off, shaking his head clear so he was ready to attack again. "Try a Tackle!
Mae had alo felt a little resricted by her Skitty's shallow movepool, but the pair managed to make the most of it, Anakin preferring to play it offensive rather than defensive. And it was because of this that he dived forwards in a rather reckless tackle, attempting to rash head-on into th Cubone.

((Just so you know, you can use ANY move your pokemon can learn. :3))
Clementine wasn't expecting to be attacked so forcefully by the small cat-creature and ended up getting shot backwards and tumbled over.
"Clementine! Watch out next time! Never underestimate an opponent." Lenne was a tad aggravated that Clementine got caught off guard so easily.
Lenne turned up her headphones loud enough for Clementine to be able to pick up on. Clementine seemed to focus now, ready to fight.
"Clementine, use Focus Punch!" Lenne needed an edge in this battle.
Clementine dashed towards her opponent, fist clenched and ready to attack.

ic|| Mae winced as the attack was called - that was going to hurt if it hit. Unluckily, Anakin had been celebrating the seemingly critical hit from his last attack, and the Focus Punch had been a hit, the Skitty yelping in pain as he was sent flying backwards, skidding across the beach with sand flying everywhere, finally landing in the shallower part of the sea with a small whine, due to the super effective hit and the lowered defense.
"C'mon, Anakin! We're not out of this yet!" Mae called out to her Pokemon, the Skitty slowly beginning to push himself to his feet, struggling a little at first although eventually getting there, a scowl set on his sweet little face as he turned to face Clementine, ready to attack. She noticed the water gently lapping at his feet, and instantly gained an idea. Cubone were weak against Water, weren't they?
"Anakin, use Water Pulse!"
The Skitty momentairily turned to face his trainer, giving a short, sharp nod as his tail rose into the air, lowing a faint silvery-blue as a wave rose behind him, a small ball of water forming just in front of his nose. "Skit~!"
All of a sudden, the ball shot off towards Clementine in the attack, Mae grinning. Perhaps this could even win her the battle!

"Clementine watch out!" Lenne screeched as she saw the ball of water flying at her beloved ground pokemon.
Sadly, however, she was too late and Clementine received the attack, head-on. It was extremely effective and caused Clementine to be flung across the sand-strewn stadium. After a few seconds of recovery time she managed to get up, but not after taking a hard hit.
"Clementine, are you alright?" Lenne was worried, because she knew Clementine couldn't stand water, and then to be struck so forcefully by it, she couldn't last long.
Clementine managed to give a small nod, and stood ready to attack again.
"This is our last chance attept Clemmy. Use Ice Beam like we've done before" Lenne had to gain an advantage here, or things wouldn't be good.
Clementine braced herself, opening her mouth and creating an ice beam within. She had to freeze this cat or else she was going to lose, and that wouldn't be good.
