July 4th is my friend's birthday. She's going to a bar, or club, unfortunately I have to work that night, and the next day, so I will not be attending.
ALSO.
I'm Canadian, so I celebrate Canada Day on July 1st. THAT day, I'll probably be going down to the beach with my best friend to watch fireworks, and probably also going to the carnival down right by the beach.

In Dallas, I need to attend a wedding that weekend. Should be lots of fun.
4th of July is kinda a big deal for me - I spent a lot of time in grad school reading Lincoln, lots more in undergrad reading the Federalist and Thomas Jefferson. I'm a patriot-junkie, I guess.

Usually I don my Captain America costume and march in the parade, but my brother is doing his last 4th of July Color Guard performance, so I am going to watch the parade instead. smile

I'm probably just going to have a barbecue and watch the fireworks my town does... Though my aunt's wedding is the next day, so I'm not sure if we're still doing that.

I wanted to be in color guard, but I ended up going into debate team / mock trial / school play / school newspaper instead. Was bizzy bizzy bee!

What time is the wedding? If it's later in the afternoon, you can get beauty sleep and still have time to get glamorized ahead of time.
