A large screen towered over the stadium. A spinner with twelve different battle field locations displayed on the screen, waiting to be choosen. One of the trainers jumps to the control room and presses a big green button to start up the spinner. The screenshots of each battlefield light up as they are passed by the spinner. Finally, the light stops on...
The FIRE FIELD!
A series of thick rock pillars, all different sizes of height, reach towards the stadium ceiling from a pool of hot lava. While there is a fire-proof net far below to catch any pokemon that falls off the platforms, the rock pillars themselves are very hot to touch. They can cause burns if your pokemon stand still for a set period of time. The air around the field is very heavy from the extreme heat.

Sunnie walked into the field and, seeing her surroundings, instantly screamed. "FIRE FIELD AGAIN?! ARRRGH!!" She had been in this field twice before, and absolutely hated each and every time. Not only was it just not an attractive-looking field, but the heat was unbearable! "At least this time I don't have to send an ice-type out... Go, Vitesse!" she shouted as she released her pokemon out onto the field.
Vitesse strolled around the field, enjoying the weather. He simply loved climates like this, and the blistering-hot ground didn't seem to bother his rock-hard hooves. "Ahh, this'll be great!" he said to himself with a smile. "I wonder what insignificant peon will try to beat me today?"
"Oh Vito, when you strut like that, other Pokemon get mad at you..." Sunnie said. If only he would behave just a little better, I swear....

Lenne walked into the stadium for the first time as a real pokemon trainer. She clutched Clementine's ball tightly in her hand, already prepared for the battle ahead, until she felt how hot it truly was. "FIRE?! Are you kidding? Great first stadium..." Throwing the luxury ball onto the field with a perfect sort of ease Clementine finally revealed herself.
"Cuuuu" She cried, stretching after being in there for some time. The heat of the arena didn't seem to bother her too much, though movement would be a little tougher. Staring at the pretty Ponyta Clem waved her club in a wand-like motion then bowed. Already primming for the beauty competitions ahead of her.
Preparing to get started Lenne put her hair up, and took her stance.

When Vitesse set eyes on Clementine, he burst out laughing. "HAHAHA! What a ratty-looking thing you are! And you think you can beat me? HA!" He started laughing so hard that he almost fell over, but he managed to keep himself up despite wobbling from side to side.
"Vitooo! Stop laughing!" Sunnie yelled. She started blushing with embarrassment. "I can't believe it... oh well... Vito, Tail Whip!!"
Vitesse nodded. "Alright, you ugly piece of work you, prepare yourself!" he said as he galloped towards Clementine, tail of fire flowing behind him in a seemingly-increasing blaze of glory. Before he ran right into her, he swung his backside around to singe her and lower her defenses.

"Clemmy, are you alright?!" Lenne was panicked at the attack on her Cubone.
Clementine merely looked back up at her, showing no damage was done.
"Erm.. Hi then..." Lenne looked down at her feet and shuffled, then looked back up at the other trainer. "Alright, I guess let's show them what we're made of Clemmy! They won't be laughing when this is over!"
Clementine looked back at Lenne and nodded, then shot back around to face the rude Ponyta. Clementine, instead of talking, pounded into the pillar she was on causing rubble to fly up. She then wailed the rubble with her club and sent it flying straight at the manic Vitesse, hoping to make contact.
"Right! Rock Tomb! Go for it Clemmy!" Lenne was jumping up and down in excitement.

"Nonono! I wasn't laughing! Ahhh..." Sunnie slumped over the trainer platform. Great, now I've made a bad impression! Just great...
While Vitesse was laughing, he didn't pay attention to the rocks flying above him. Luckily, by the time he glanced up and noticed, he managed to dodge most of the large boulders and was only struck by the smaller, Pokeball-sized ones. "Ahh! Ow! Owow! Owowowow! Stupid rocks!" he said as they hailed upon him, scraping and scratching his body all around. "Hey, how dare you! You could've really left a mark, you know! Then I wouldn't be gorgeous!"
"Stop, Vito, stooop... you've gotten me into enough trouble..." Sunnie mumbled under her breath. "Just use Bounce..."
Vitesse looked up at his trainer. "What's her problem? Oh well..." With great speed, he climbed up the pile of debree left behind by Clementine's attack and made a fantastic jump off of the top of it. He soared in the air for a moment, then came crashing down towards the cubone. "Let's see how you like being attacked from the air! Come on!!"

Clementine was in the process of jumping to another pillar when Vitesse hit her, causing her to stumble a bit on her landing, but wasn't hit too hard.
"Uhm... Clemmy, let's see... Let's try knocking him off balance! That'll wipe the smirk off his face! Go, now! Earthquake!" Lenne leaned forward, holding onto the railing of the platform, bracing for the attack.
Clementine, hearing her trainer's words, stomped onto the pillar as hard as she could. Slowly, all the pillars began to tremble, some crumbling as well, becoming nothing more than lava fuel. "Cuuuubone!"

"Ohjeez!" Vitesse said, jumping up and down to avoid being shaken up. As pieces of pillar began crumbling into nothing more than rubble, he managed to jump away in the nick of time, finding safety before again they would crumble into the net below. He repeated this until the quake died down, and although the pillars had shrunk significantly in size and width, he was safe. "...what was that? A little quake can't hurt anyone! Psh, both ugly AND stupid..."
Sunnie sighed. She could just tell Vitesse was being mean. "Oh, what'll I dooo... ehh... Natural Gift!"
Vitesse almost laughed at his poor trainer, but he realized that he needed to concentrate. He closed his eyes as the Citrus Berry, tied around his neck, glowed with a soft lavender hue and began hovering off of his body. He snapped his eyes open, revealing bright orbs of purple. Around him, the rubble from the Rock Tomb lifted up and encircled him. "Yes... now this... this could cause some damage!!" he said as the rocks suddenly hurled themselves towards Clementine.

"Pssh, rocks, really?" Clemmy laughed this time at Vitesse. "As if using my strength against me would work." Clementine had gotten struck by a few rocks, but nothing bone-breaking. ((Ahaha, bad pun. xD) She quickly recovered from the blows and stood strong.
"I assume you're alright Clemmy?" Lenne was beginning to worry a bit about the outcome. She assumed she'd do very well, but things weren't looking too good. "Alright Clemmy, let's see. We're going to take a different approach this time. Use Leer!"
Clementine looked directly at the Ponyta and struck him with an embodying glare. Her eyes started to glow red, and with ease, she managed to weaken Vitesse's defenses.

All Vitesse could do was stare into Clementine's eyes, which had suddenly entranced him in fear. What?! How did she... she's... terrifying... he thought to himself. He soon shook it off and replied to it with, "What are you doing, trying to beat me with your ugly face? That was nothin'!" However, the image was burned into his mind, and no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't focus on anything but those gleaming red eyes, staring straight into him...
Hmm, a leer attack, that's smarts... Sunnie thought. "Well, all we can do is just fight back! Vito, Bounce!"
"Oh, this again? Well..." Vitesse began to build up speed by running circles around Clementine, leaping from pillar to pillar. At last, when he seemed only like a multi-colored blur, he flew into the air and headed straight for the cubone. "Try to stare away this one! HA!"

Clementine managed to jump to another pillar just in time, completely avoiding Vitesse's attack. She got up, then stood strong against the Ponyta, ready to attack.
"Yeah! Go Clemmy! Keep up those maneuvering skills!" Lenne was jumping up and down with excitement. "Alright, let's try another one of these... EARTHQUAKE!"
Once again Clementine dove into the ground, causing the pillars to shake and crumble. Hopefully this time, the attack would work.

"Oh, this silly thing again?" Vitesse said with a laugh. Again, with his graceful leaping skills, he managed to keep off any tumbling pillars. After jumping across the field like a wild Buneary, he finally stopped when the earth quit shaking... although the pillars were now even closer to the net and were barely large enough for him to stand on. "Oh please, you're going to have to use something better than that!"
"Whew, glad you dodged it... though you could really act nicer..." Sunnie said under her breath. "Alright now, Vito, use Flare Blitz!!"
"Ah yes, the most beautiful of attacks!!" Vitesse said. He stood up, raised his head in the air, and slowly the flames on his body began to grow larger and encircle him. Soon, he didn't even look like a ponyta anymore, but more of a god-like horse, with a body composed of spiraling blue and red flames. He looked straight into Clementine's eyes - ignoring the image of the leer still fresh in his mind - and leaped straight at her. "Take this!!"

Clementine got nicked by this attack, the fire stinging a bit, but she could handle it. Her plan also seemed to be working, the field was crumbling and Clemmy was small enough to have plenty of room to move about the pillars, but the larger ponyta would have a lot more trouble keeping balance.
"Clemmy, I hope you're alright! Alright uhm, lets try attacking from a distance! Bonemerang, now!"
Clementine threw her club at Vitesse, with perfect form, spinning fast.
"Let's hope this works!" Lenne hoped she could manage to win this battle.

"Ahh yes! A hit!!" Vitesse said with triumph as he jumped over to another pillar, his flames burning down and returning to normal size. However, he overshot it by just a tiny bit, and he lost his balance and began to tip right over the side. "Woaahh ahh!" he shouted as he somehow managed to shift his weight and land back down on the pillar. However, this was a near-fatal move - he didn't even see the Bonemerang headed for him, and it smacked him right in the jaw. CLUNK! This huge force against his face made him fly right off of the pillar and down, down, down into the pit below.
"VITOOOOOO!!!"
Vitesse lay on the netting, just a few yards above the lava, trying to get a hold of himself. "Unh.... fine... just fine..." he said, completely ignoring his swollen and bloodied face. All of a sudden, the wear and tear he suffered began to take it's toll. "Just fine... still beautiful... boy it's hot down here...."
Sunnie could tell that this battle was finally boiling down to it's end. I hope this teaches him a lesson... she thought to herself. "...Vito! We can still go out with a bang! Bounce right out of there!!"
Vitesse lifted his head and looked up at the pillars, which seemed to tower endlessly above him. "I can still beat you, cubone... I refuse to lose to such... ugliness!!" He began jumping up and down, using the net as a trampoline, going a little higher with each jump. Finally, when the net was just a few feet from the lava and the flames began to lick at his hooves, he summoned all of his strength and made a mad leap for the top. Not just the top of the pillars, no, but the very stadium itself. He flew up and up and up until Clementine looked like merely a brown speck on a slightly larger red blob. Then, he came crashing down towards her, using all of the anger built up inside him. "YOU CAN'T DEFEAT ME!!" he shouted with rage.
