In Beauty and The Beast at the very beginning it shows how the prince became a beast right? and that was because he turned away an old beggar woman offering a single red rose in return for her stay but when he closed the door on her, she turned into a beautiful fairy giving him until his 21st birthday to change his selfish ways.
