No, seriously, having a journal that I can keep alongside of any writing is a great idea for me. (and it means I post in the guild more often) Soo.. layout.. I'm currently working on 3 pieces, each piece is a collection of short stories (because hey, I don't have the concentration span for anything more) but I'm hoping to do a final edit at the end and make it into chapters rather than individual stories. The three pieces are: The IllusionistPrologue The Return (renaming that as soon as I hit inspiration to do so) Part 1part 2Azrael Liberate TuTeme Ex InferisIf anyone knows Latin or knows where I can learn Latin.. I'd love to have at least all the stories under Azrael titled in Latin.

And it's times like these that I wish I paid more attention in eighth grade. However, at the time I had felt I had more important things to learn and pay attention to.
I know the feeling about having the journal to help motivate and what-not.

Not that this helps any, but I seem to recall M saying he's taking Latin next year. I took French -blah!- so I can't help here.

We don't get taught Latin in England, just Spanish and French and both I have failed at.

Today's progress.. nothing. Today's my day off from writing, tomorrow, I'll be doing a final edit on the next part of the return.

I agree with you on the french wink Quote: “JOE! If you didn't wanna come, you shoulda said something earlier” Sonia called out up the stairs, reminding him that he was on the verge of running late. His usually messy black hair had been sleeked back for the occasion. It matched the colour of the cape with the high collar and blood red lining he wore over the old fashioned tuxedo. If that had not been enough to make an impression, then the white makeup and red lipstick he wore certainly did the trick. Not that that had been all. In his bid to find something useful to wear, Joe had decided to go all out Halloween and get the entire Dracula look going. Something he showed as he smiled widely at Sonia, revealing fake, plastic fangs covering his natural ones. “Diplomatic” Sonia pointed out in between laughing. “Who're you going as? Dracula, Azrael or Joe?” “I wawth thinking.. god fwucking hell! Twhese teeth are fwacking annoying!” He burst out before reaching into his mouth and pulling the fake teeth out. I really need to work on that... if only I could get motivated.. Totally unrelated.. I lost my assassin's survivor title on GW last night sad and I hadn't even been cheating to get that far.. stupid lag spike.

I like worse in this case, methinks.
(And you can call me Savvy if you like, though I am good with Saint and/or Savin. People have told me Savvy is easier to type...)
Anyway!
I've suffered from periodic bouts of insomnia since I was a wee lass. Before I ever went to school even. I started writing because the ideas that bothered me while I was busy not sleeping were getting to be a bit much for me to remember. Bottom line- you may be able to use this to your advantage if it happens again. Failing that, I suggest reading a sociology textbook until you nod off.
Really.

I can think of.. only a few things more boring than that... but yeah, that would make me sleep.
Update: I found someone who tore my prologue apart biggrin putting it back together atm, almost done. Then I can concentrate on something new.

Yes, yes they are.. at least this way, I learn something.
Nothing useful though, my kitty got hit by a car and is spending the night at the vets.. so far, the estimated bill is at $650 and pending the exact damage done, rising.
Guess I should be happy she's alive, just the fact that I dunno how well she is.. that is.. how permanent the damage is.. is making me worry sad

ACK! Poor kitty! I hope she is alright!
My cat ran up enough vet bills to put someone through college over the course of her life. She had more health problems than I can remember now. Alas, they caught up with her in the end.

An update: Despite wanting to write with cat sitting on my lap recovering, I've managed to write.. nothing. Instead, we've opted for lots of TV, little coffee and some gaming.
I am starting to get into the mood for writing again though, now that things are almost back to normal and I learned that I value the life of my cat a little more than I thought.
