My first submission to this guild, and its all sketchy... Anyway i just wanted to know what I'm doing wrong. whee  btw these are some of my OC's

i like it biggrin i think all u realli need to work on is the blow the guys taking cause i dont think a guy would be standing straight up being punched in the stomach. i think he might be bent over a bit but thats just me :] other then that it looks really good mrgreen

mrgreen Yes, the person above me has a point. If he were being punched in the face he would be in that position maybe, depending on how he was hit (it would probably have to be smack dab in the middle of the face that he was hit for the stance you've drawn). He would most definitely be hunched over had he been punched in the stomach because humans try to maintain their center of gravity, unlike boards which will fall directly backwards when his like that like your guy. Anyway, you're really good at drawing people in different stances so they don't look too stiff, but the limbs are kinda flat. See the legs you've drawn on the girl? There should be a curve to the back parts. Look down at your own legs. You'll see it. And her forearm, to help show that it is slightly bent or whatever, you must bring out the curve in that as well, not too much. That would be bad. Then, it'd look like she has PopEye arms rofl . And I don't think that's what you're going for. Other than that, it looks pretty good. Although, I was mostly focusing on the main people so I'm not sure about the guys in the background. You draw body movement much better than me. 3nodding

I like the girls expression C: but I think you should exaggerate the poses a lot more...because it doesn't really look like she is hitting him hard at all...I don't know how to explain it but I can give you a link to some good resources C: click = a lot of great resources that can help you with both the anatomy and poses

I think the girl punching should be bent foward more and her arm not as straight and stiff.
The guy would be hunched over - like ellebell said - if her were being punched in the stomach.
n_n, sorry if it's harsh, it's just my advice, you don't have to take it.

I agree with the first few posts. If the guy was punched in the stomach, he'd be doubled over. Also, for the punch she threw it seems like the way you were drawing it, she'd be putting more force into it maybe along the lines of her leaning forward a bit more.

His chest is what's bothering me if he was hit in the chest wouldn't his posture be kinda of a hunched back sorta thing? Like gasping for air and kneeling down a bit?

It looks as if that guy is getting tickled to death wink
Think of the punch as the force that it is....and think of the result of the force as an arrow....the punch/arm is the line, and the guy's body and legs should arc a bit and bend around the arm, as to make a rounded arrow. Hope that helps.
