Tamsin threw open the Owlry doors and let Trae fly and find a perch to his liking. She watched him settle, his fluffly white chest feathers puffing out as he settled to nap for the night, and then she left, shutting the doors tight behind her, listening to the hooting of the owls behing her.

Clarissa found herself at the owlry that day, preening her owl, Gem, while leaning against the window. The owl was a small one, with a beautiful pattern of amber on her chocolate brown wings. Gem had arrived that day with a letter from her mother, telling her about things were at home, the gossip from their town, and all that other stuff that she didn't care about. She finished smoothing out the owl's feathers, raising her arm and letting the bird take off. She watched it soaring off in the direction of her home, bored at the prospect of that day.

Jeremy walked into the owlry, with a letter in his hand. He walked over to a snowy white owl with black speckels on her tail.
"Here Misty"
He said as he tied the letter onto her leg. The own hopped onto his arm and Jeremy walked over to the window. Misty gave him an affectionate nibble on his ear and then took off. He smiled as he watched the owl sore out of sight. He turned around and seen Clarissa and jumped back a bit. He didn't know anyone else was there
"um...Hello"

Clarissa turned to look at Jeremy. She blinked, saying, "Uhm, hello." She wondered why anyone would feel like making conversation with her; perhaps it was because of the slow pace the day was taking. Before she could say anything else, however, about four owls swooped in and landed on each shoulder and her head. "Uhm... that was random.."

Jeremy laughed a little and shrugged
"Ah, stuff like that happens"
He looked around and then back at the girl. She didn't really seem like she wanted to talk.. but he was so bored, he would talk to a wall if he had to.

"It does," she said, shaking the owls off. "Shoo!" One of them swooped in, pecked at her nose, and flew high into its perch. "Ow.." she muttered, touching the top of her nose and glancing at the hand. There was blood on it. "Damn birds..."

Another bird flew down and perched on her head. Jeremy walked over and waved his hands
"Shoo!"
He said, making the owl fly away
"Wow, they really like you"
He said in a joking manner.
"You ok?"
He asked, looking at her nose, and then shooing away a few more owls.

"Birds love me today, I suppose," Clarissa said with a shrug. "And I'm fine, it's just bleeding a little."
A bird flew in and landed on Jeremy's head. "Don't look now, but now they're after you, too!" She shooed it away.

Jeremy waved his hands and ran to the other side of the owlry, laughing slightly.
"There all over the place!"
He said as he walked back towards her.
"I'm Jeremy by the way"
He said, as he shooed away a few owls that treatened to land on the girls head again.

"I'm Clarissa," she said, whipping out her wand and pointing it at her wound, muttering the Wound Healing spell. She stowed the wand back in her robes, thankful that her magic hadn't backfired this time. She glared at the owls, at any who would dare to try and attack her again.

Jeremy looked over at her, and let his arms down, just when he did a bird swooped down and pecked him on the head
"Ow! Lets get out of here before we get pecked to death.."
He said, his hands now agian covereing his head.

"Yeah. Something seems to have provoked them today!" She protected herself with one arm, heading for the door and opening it with her other hand. All at once, every owl from the owlry rushed at her. She shreiked, flinging herself to the floor, and they all flew into the castle. "Oh, s**t..." she said, getting up and dusting the feathers off.

Jeremy's eyes widened as the owls made a break for it. He walked quickly over to Clarissia and held his hand out to help her up
"You ok? That was extremly wierd... They are usually never like that!"
He looked around. Only a few owls were left in the owlry now.

Clarissa took his hand and stood up. "I know! I wonder..." She glanced out the door, her eyes widening. A sea of owls were flying through the halls. A few people screamed, and Clarissa busrt out laughing. It was just so absurd that she could hardly treat it seriously.
