Kavrin anxiously waited for Aurora to show. He was worried mostly because he didn't know whether this day is going to be much different from their normal days. Deep inside he realized that this was a big step in their relationship, one that will set them along the route from friends to something more. Eh, best not to overthink things, he concluded. Better to just be himself.
It was evening, the moon beginning to gain some height in the sky. He was thankful that Aurora was as nocturnal as he was, since his eyes disliked the sun's harsh rays. He wondered vaguely what they will see on their walk.

Aurora lurked in the shadows, heading to where she was supposed to be meeting Kavrin. Giddiness kept her movements fast, and not as quiet as her fathers. If there were any evil creatures out there looking for a fresh kill, they would easily know where she was.
But that didn't worry her. She knew that if she truly was in danger, Kavrin would come to her rescue. No vampires would be snacking on her tonight! She saw Kavrin up ahead and slipper out of the bushes and shot at him like a dark bullet. Prepared to give him her standard greeting, she pounced at him

Kavrin heard a namir walking toward him. Smiling, since he figured it was Aurora stalking him as usual, he prepared to leap when she did. He had a bit of an advantage on her though, since he heard her from farther off than normal, yet Aurora was quick. The tip of his tail was snagged by her paws, which he felt get a more secure grip when they made contact. "Hello Aurora! How are you? Excited?" He was pretty excited as well, along with feeling anxious. The two seemed to go hand in hand for good things though.

Kjerne settled herself in a bush near the two, just within earshot. She was determined to see this through, it was the fruits of her efforts finally coming together. 'I will make sure Aurora is with the one she loves if it's the last thing I do!' she thought to herself as she planned how she would follow them if they decided to move.
((xD You all knew this was bound to happen))

"I'm good, and I'm excited as a vampire who just got the keys to a blood bank." Aurora clutched the tail and hugged as she bounced in place. She felt like she had swallowed twelve cups of sugar, when really she hadn't had any. Shyness fought to rise to the surface, but she refused to let it. She shoved it back down and stroked the tip of Kavrin's tail. "How are you and Fluffy tonight? Are you excited?"
She used their long running joke of Kavrin's tail being her fluffly to try and get rid of some of her own anxiouseness, not really noticing Kavrin's.

"That's pretty excited," replied Kavrin enthusiastically. He didn't mind the joke by this point. Heck, it was practically the tail's real name by this point. Sort of ironic when you think about it. "I'm excited as well." Her energy was infectious, making him more excited than anxious by this point. Everything will be just fine. "So, shall we head off?"

"Yes! Let's blaze a trail through the dark and eery wilderness! And defeat any foe who dares to stand in our way!!" Aurora realeased 'Fluffy' and shook a paw at a tree. Like it was one the foes who would get in their way. Satisfied that she got that out of her system and smiled, a bit of shyness mixed in. "I'm done now."

Kavrin smiled happily at her usual energy and excitedness, retraining a bit of good-hearted laughter. He didn't want her thinking that he was laughing at her. He was probably over-thinking things again. "Okay. And if any foe comes our way we'll be sure to vanquish it!" He felt comfortable in that energy, and really didn't want to let go of it completely. "So let's go. I hope we can see some cool sights." He started heading into the wood, making sure that Aurora was following first.

"Yes! Vanquish with our mighty vanguishing powers!" The shyness was shoved back down as Aurora hurried to walk beside Kavrin. Her tail swished in excitement behind her, bumping against Kavrin's every now and then. "I hope we see a bright purple werewolf."

"That would be an interesting sight to see! I hope we see one too." Kavrin felt as Aurora's tail bumped against his own. He wondered vaguely what it would be like to have a big, fluffy tail. Not that he didn't like his own tail. He just wondered about it like Aurora wondered about his horns.

Aurora grinned, more sure than ever that this night would be just as fun and relaxing as any other time that she hung with Kavrin. Most probably wouldn't find most of the stuff they did together relaxing. But for Aurora it was the most relaxing thing in the world, because around Kavrin she could be herself and have fun. "Oh look, fireflies."
She grinned and gestured up at the many tiny light dancing among the tree tops.

Kavrin looked up, noting the many fireflies fluttering about. Their lights continuously went on and off as they flew. Kavrin smiled, knowing something about fireflies that not everyone did. First he looked down, toward the leaves on the lower branches. Smiling, he discovered that some fireflies were perched upon them. He pointed, saying, "Those are female fireflies. You see how they stay on the leaves and light up in sort of a pattern? That's their way of finding love." He pointed up toward the fireflies flying about. "You see, the males fly about, and if one of them spots a pattern that he likes then they will fly down to meet the female." He learned this from the elders within the pack he almost grew up in.

Intrigue filled Aurora's mind as she leaned close to one of the female fireflies, but not close enough to scare it off. She tried to memorize the fireflies pattern. "I never knew that."
As she focused on the firefly, a small ball of dark blue flames appeared over head. It shifted and swirled before taking on the form a firefly, it tail mimicing the same pattern as the firefly Aurora was watching.

Kavrin looked on with interest as the blue flame formed into a firefly over Aurora's head. He smiled a bit, yet didn't quite inform her quite yet that she seemed to have inherited her mother's powers. Instead he watched on for a little while, wishing he had a camera, and when he was done said, "Hey Aurora? Did you know that you've created a little firefly out of flame above your head?" He reached above her head and attempted to guide the little flame down into her view before she lost focus and made it disappear. Surely enough, his efforts were paying off. Now if she could just keep focus long enough to see it....
(He should have tried that before telling her. xd )

"Hmm." Aurora blinked, her mind snapping back to reality and the little firefly vanished. The only sign that it had ever been was a small wift of smoke. She blinked up at Kavrin. "I'm sorry, I think I zoned out for a second there."
(That's alright, she'll be doing it more xD Mainly cause I need her to discover her powers already xd ))
