Staring intently with his eyes closed, Toujours had his head tilted up, his left hind leg propped comfortably, and a gentle old friend waving in the breeze above his head.
Indeed, this was often how he passed the nights... given that he dozed for most of the day. The tree to his right was a good tree, an aged oak with great gnarly boughs that twisted in the most amazing patterns when he looked at them as the shadows covering the blanket of stars.
Not that he could actually see the tree or the stars right now, since his eyes were closed and all, but he was practicing his mental visualization of things. He had recently put this task to young Seresai and Wildfire in their last lesson together, and while he had felt confident that they could do it and set their minds at ease... the experiment had failed when the ever active Seres and stepped on her own foot and pushed Wile for it. wile, not one to back down, had naturally retaliated, so then he had to get involved and separate them.
Sighing at the memory, TJ carefully opened his eyes and smiled, realizing he had pictured the sight perfectly, and was far more relaxed then when he had started.
